  Without going to jQuery/Jquery, your solution is the only solution.  Unfortunately you can not open a new tab in the browser window, because there is currently no way to do it in HTML.  Most modern browsers will treat the new code in the window as a new tab, but that has been programmed into the browser and not the site.

  If you need a more automated way to manage images you may link in a database, but your page is only HTML so I don't think it's an option you're considering at the moment.

  The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems.   1 > Open Photoshop

  2 > click on Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw

  3 > please uncheck CPU graph using.

  

  4 > then click on OK.

  5 > restart Photoshop and check

  Please go to preference > Performance > uncheck "use graphics processor.
