  This is caused by a very old bug in Photoshop. I first noticed in CS3, but it may have been there before. It is caused when downsample you an image. The only solution I know is far from being perfect but. Let the image resizing according to last in your workflow, flatten the image, and then recreate the background layer

  

  Note You cannot simply rename the background layer or a regular layer and lock it. Then you can downsample the transparent borderless being created. I must admit when I see that happen I usually harvested only the affected part of the image, but that it is destructive, it cannot count as a solution.

  It could well reasons for this behavior. Perhaps another application using the player in the background and also that there could be a conflict with another device or software appliance.

  There is a way to circumvent the lack of functionality, but is not a complete solution. You can fill or stroke an object with the color in question, then add a new fill or stroke using any spot color and set the background or stroke to overprint in the Panel. Turn on overprint preview to see the new color. You can make a graphic Style for this new fill or stroke, too. Graphic styles are not as versatile as the color chart. You need a GS of different fill and stroke and even for weights of different diseases or dashes. You cannot apply a GS for only part of the text in a text object, and it's a PITA even bigger if you want a gradient, also.

  I think QuarkXPress could use multi-ink color chart 10 years ago. What is Adobe so long? They don't care, at least when it comes to Illustrator. Yet.

  Doing a lot of brushing up on an image using Lightroom is known to have this problem. The first thing to try is to turn off the graphics acceleration (go to Preferences/Performance tab and then uncheck the box here). IF this does not help, then you can consider doing your brush in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, instead of brushing in Lightroom.

  Since Windows XP, in the last several versions of Windows, there are many changes for the names and locations of some Windows system folders .

• Why is my cloudy jpg this time? Now I have slightly modified the InDesign file and need a clean jpg.

  I think I messed my color profiles since I designed the file using InDesign last year (which created a beautiful jpg).  I looked at the profiles of colors for each PDF and JPG and they appear identical, however; my new file looks like lighter; not black enough. I usually export to just open (interactive at 300 dpi) PDF of the PDF file in Photoshop and save it as JPG but this time the exact same InDesign file creates the cloudy JPG. I tried so many times and so many profiles of different color that I don't know what the problem could be. Any help would be appreciated.

  I threw all my test files and tried to export directly to a JPG to max/300 dpi in INDD. Then open in PS, resized (prevention of the best) and it worked! I don't know why it doesn't have the other times, but I throw my preferences since the first time I tried it.
