  I downloaded again. The suggestion given to repair the problem seems to be based on a Firefox window, and mine won't. I had a slow hourglass flashing but nothing open, now at all, nothing happens.
  I clicked on the tool troubleshooting-1. 1A - fx.xpi file and nothing opens; window, said to search the web to find a way to open it. I have tried that in the past in other situations with no good result, so I don't bother.

  I run Windows 7 and cannot open Firefox after update to v 30.0. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success. I do, however, show: firefox.exe * 32 in the section of the Task Manager processes. No browser opens and the only way to "kill" for uninstalling I did was to "complete the process"; Right-click on the icon in the bark of the task and clicking the X did not a thing.

  Anyone else having this problem?

  It would open in safe mode, but when I tried several times, it will sometimes 2 or 3 tries to work, with each attempt showing the firefox.exe. * 32 under the Task Manager processes. I ended up resetting Firefox and it now opens normally - I have to rebuild my extension library, etc. Thanks a lot for your help! I really missed FF!

  I can't open firefox - everytime I try I get the above error message. It started after no apparent change or updates to my system, just a normal life stops. I tried to change the .htm, .html etc. register file names and reinstall as suggested, but it does not work. The only way I can open firefox after I reinstalled and it automatically launches a browser.

  I can open firefox in a new user account that suggests something has changed in the account that I usually use, but I have no idea what since I didn't do myself any changes and you see nothing that suggests that it blocks firefox to open. I ran a virus scan and it is to come clean.

  Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be very grateful for help.

  Thank you both for your responses. I had tried all possible ways of opening firefox, including the direct use of firefox.exe and had also tried the suggestions in the link above, but had previously worked.

  Having lived every suggestion I could find about the problem I'm afraid, I gave up looking and did a system restore that solved the problem!

  Everytime I open a new tab, it appears on the tab bar where it should, but if I click on it nothing happens, the tab does not open, and I can't switch between multiple tabs. However, I tried all the other suggestions. Nothing has worked. I can not yet use the Profile Manager; When I try, nothing happens. Like most pages sternly warn me that reinstall or downgrade Firefox will either do nothing, or be dangerous, that I have no idea what else to try.   Hi, take a look at this first - Firefox does not start - solutions, but if anything can help, it may be that this can be resolved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you delete your Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox.   After the update by 12.0, my browser changed to rose. Try to change the colors of return (after reading the forum posts), I discovered that the pallets were entirely pink.

  I start Firefox in safe mode and the rose disappeared, suggesting that one of my modules was to blame, but after disabling all the one at a time (except for the theme by default.. .the one I have) the rose remained.
