Why firefox saves to the temp dir even if I put to download dir

I even tried to turn suggests saving dir when recording, but firefox saves directly to the temp dir c file always...

It is possible that your antivirus software is the origin of the problems in Firefox prevents to move the file in the temp folder in the destination folder.

Try disabling analysis in real time (live) files in your software anti-virus temporarily to see if that makes working download.

See "Antivirus disable in Firefox preferences - Windows."

Why Firefox has disabled the only version of Flash (10.1.53.64) my computer can use? (Mac PowerPC G5) Help!

Your computer hardware has arrived at the stage where most of the software needs resources your machine cannot provide because it's too old. You have a few choices.

    1. Get new hardware that can handle the latest software
    2. Use a different operating system, like Linux (which is free)

I rehabilitated an old G5 recently and it runs very well in the latest Firefox. I put Lubuntu on the machine instead the MacOS. Lubuntu (pronounced Loo-boon-two) is sort of a Ubuntu lite - a user-friendly version of Linux. There are many applications of your choice, and everything is free.

You can also use the Ubuntu greediest in resources and a little more user-friendly, also free, but you can be more pleased with the performance of Lubuntu instead.

The PowerPC, I did this on was one of the old blue Bondi ones. Firefox 8 had no problem to start on it at all and has all necessary plug-ins for video, audio, etc... I gave him a church and it works well for them.

You can download older versions of Firefox, but you'll just open to security problems if you do.

FYI: The Mac operating system is based on Linux.

Why firefox did block the latest version of adobe flash 22.0.0. 192 ?

Because it is affected by critical vulnerabilities and is not the current version. The current version has been 22.0.0. 209 since July 12. https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

  • Why Firefox get rid of my ads even if I use anti-ad?

I use FireFox 3, because the most recent Firefox isn't good in my opinion and keep ads showing everywhere, even if I installed in my modules anti-ad and plu adblocker.

First of all, do not install two different modules that do the same thing. Secondly, Adblock Plus is to keep; did you have a registration for a subscription of Filterset (toll-free)? Adblock Plus doesn't block anything without filters, a Filterset subscription or your own set of filters that create your block and over time you see things you don't want to see each one.

Ignore the link of the player Shockwave that probably, you mustn't he compared to Flash player because it is barely used nowadays.

FredMcD, you really need correct/update your clipboard for that.

The downloadable Shockwave player version (not flashing) is 12.1.3.153 and not 15.0.0.152 as you can be confusing which version of the flashplayer reached before.

Flash player is 15.0.0.189 and not 14.0.0.179 as you can see at https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Flash player is used for good Flash videos like Youtube and Flash games in Shockwave player is little used compared to Flash, for things such as games and online learning tools.

And please, don't say "I asked. It's the way it is displayed on the site"as you said last time in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1026518 , because who says little about why you're wrong ad versions and calling Shockwave player, Shockwave Flash.

  • After completing TUEBL why Firefox saves a huge file of 3 GB in profiles called epub with 50000 + files?

I found the program Mozbackup always took to back up Firefox, and the compressed backup .pcv file that results has been HUGE - gigabytes. Then I checked my Firefox profile and found that he had stored this huge epub file. Often, I download books from TUEBL but don't see absolutely no use storing one of these in the Firefox profile. This problem is the same in my little Toshiba Netbook, except that the epub file was larger than 4 GB. In computers, I sent the fiolder epub to the trash, and Firefox and Mozbackup now work correctly. If the problem persists OK, I'll permanently delete these epub files.

I think that there must be the extension. The manual says:

When you open a file with EPUBReader ePub, ePub file is downloaded and stored in your Firefox profile folder. By clicking on the button Save, you have the possibility to store the ePub file to a location of your choice.

    http://www.epubread.com/en/manual.php#navigation

Maybe he has a hidden parameter of moving its folder default to, say, Documents? Maybe this feature can be added? There is a link to contact at the bottom of this page to submit questions that are not answered on the site.

  • Firefox passes to the new tab, even when I ask him not to.

I currently have my updated Firefox to NOT move to a new tab immediately when a link opens one. However, every time I click on a link to open a new tab, that it does not. I tried Firefox in safe mode and still have the same question. I read the previous articles on this subject and have also made sure my appearance has the default value. Any suggestions on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Jscher2000 thanks a lot. Changing the value worked perfectly. I appreciate it. However, now that I got it do what I want, I have to get used to not having the tabs switch to the right. But it makes it easier. Have a good night.

  • Why firefox fails during the upgrade?

I have been using FF for several years. Three or 4 times during the process to upgrade FF loses open tabs and only load with a single tab (it's all right I can reopen). So, I waited for the next version 'stable' and then tried again until this successful.

I am running 19.0.2. The problem is that the upgrade creates two title bars (good name? At the top of the brower... which shows the title of the current page) and just generally looks like if effed-up top and icons are stripped, etc..

I searched: can someone direct me to the help page which addresses this problem.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • Why firefox 15 displays the hex of size for the html data that make up the page?

    Windows 7, 32-bit
    Firefox 15.0.1 update Friday
    Java 1.7.0_07 Friday update

Management forced a Java Update and restart on Friday. When Firefox started it auto-updated V15.0.1. He had problems immediately; the previous session tabs disappeared all and any page with Flash no longer worked (everything was OK before the two updates).

In the recommendations, I created a new profile, copy only on bookmarks and files with name of user/authentication of the previous profile. When manually reopen the necessary tabs, pointed out that any Sonicwall firewall and Panasonic Netcam both display only a blank page with one or more hexadecimal numbers on it.

Efforts to repair since included completely remove Firefox, the plugin Flash and current Java to run in safe mode, disabling all extensions/plugins, running in a completely default new profile with nothing carried over, try with and without hardware acceleration, etc. The behavior does not change. It does not matter if I go via http or https for devices that support both.

JavaScript IS enabled, and the script _no_ blocking is in place; JavaScript works on other sites that use it.

IE9 on the same PC works fine, so it's apparently not a system problem

Looking at the page source shows that hexadecimal numbers are the length of the data in the row or the piece of HTML code, including the following javascript code. The Sonicwall sets up a larger number (2ea) on the line of the display source page that corresponds to the size in bytes of the code in the following lines.

The Panasonic apparently sends the length of the data in each row if it provides a hexadecimal number for each line of HTML in the source display.

What would make Firefox interpret the data incoming size as displayed, but only for certain pages or peripheral? I can visit other sites that have javascript and they work; a source of these pages view shows all the lines with just a hexadecimal number.

view source example of Sonicwall (between the = lines); everything you see on the screen is the "2ea" in the upper left corner
