There is no edition of Windows 7 "professional staff".

Unless you use a feature like bitlocker (encryption) or you need to join a domain environment (so someone else can manage your computer for you or it's a more restrictive environment, where only a domain joined systems can access resources) or you must use native Windows Remote Desktop for remote access to this computer rather than many other ways (much easier and better and free) When outdoors or the other more sophisticated) functions of the computer geek oriented in many ways) than what an upgrade offer - then you are likely to do very well with Windows 7 Home Premium.

However - choose yourself - here's what I think is the best way to look for differences on the Internet today for Windows 7:

  • How to stop xp lost / forget my password and force me to restart after only one or two days of availability editions home and professional

Title says it pretty well, but it is on two different AMD multi-core cpu with a list programs installed for the most part identical and quite long.  I hope that it is a problem of xp, someone has already found and fixed even if I don't the have not found in several searches.  Before that everyone assumed that I forgot my password, let me assure you that is not and has not been and will not be the problem; but when (after one day or more available), I'm trying to connect with my correct password, xp persistently asks me if I forgot it and of course, this means I have to restart, with its side effects, in order to refresh the memory of xp apparently and allow me to connect.  For what it's worth, in this case, no matter if I 'disconnect' screen lock or me with the Windows key + combination L or even to pass time until the locking screensaver mechanism is used automatically.  It seems that over the years something in a few key file or registry or RAM or what is get corrupted, but what is the solution?  I don't remember what happens until fairly recently, so can it be caused by something changed by one of the most recent Windows updates?  Another thought that occurs to me would be whether there all known software conflicts have caused something like this?   I don't run a server, but I have still xp does not have to be reloaded every day or almost and prompt me to worry what else may be getting damaged as well as my password.  I've kept ZoneAlarm Extreme Security uptodate and analyzed regularly without viral invasions/epidemics coming to my attention, so I am at a loss to point a finger there, too.  All my other software is widely used, as surely as if she caused this problem, others would have reported such a conflict before now (?).  Oh, and I don't do betas (unless you count an occasional Release Candidate), so I don't have this kind of problems.  I know that's not the most urgent global problem, but it always makes me think for a moment, what happens if he loses or forget my password - so what I'll do if the restart does not resolve, even if only temporarily.  I guess you could consider my reboot of a workaround, but I want to find is something that is more durable than all of this, please.  I understand there is a somewhat similar problem involving mode XP of Windows 7 and apparently it may concern unique aspects of this OS, but maybe there's an analogy?  Also, is there a limit to (or how to limit) the number of times where XP will connect a particular user (or user attempt?)?   If so, I would like to know how and where this can be changed, to see if it helps me everything.  Remember, however, there must be something that will work on Home and Professional Editions, that's why he left me speechless.  Oh yes, I want to emphasize that both of my computers are free standing without any local network operating, etc., just a router to access internet and shared printer.  If there is more information you need from me, just post a reply with what you want and I'll try to get back with her in 24 hours, if possible.

  • I can only receive emails and send not so far from home

    Split of: " ", "http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistanetworking/thread/a424e146-1a2f-4133-80d5-db98f08f5421"" "

Currently, I use Windows Vista and access my email using Windows Mail.  When I am connected to my internet router 'House', I can send and receive emails, absolutely perfect.  When I am away from home and try to connect to an internet router to the hotel (with a key) or internet router to friends (with a key), I can only receive emails and not send.  I get the error message is: the connection to the server has failed.  He then mentions the details into account, server, Protocol, Port and secure (SSL) followed by the Socket error: 10060 and the error number: 0x800CCC0E.  Anyone know why I have a problem when I'm away from home?  Any help much appreciated.

Looks like you are running in a block of 25 port. What you experienced is normal. As a general rule, the owner of port 25 SMTP server you use must be the same as the entity that provides your Internet connection at the moment. To learn more about this issue, see anti-spam

The workarounds available when sending abroad are the following:

    1. use webmail to send (via your browser).
    2. ask your ISP if they have one port other than '25' for SMTP.
    3. If you frequently send multiple locations, get free Gmail account, configure it for POP access, set up in Windows Mail and use it to
your shipment of household chores. Gmail uses port 465 for SMTP, which is not blocked as is port 25.

  • Disorder of connection Office remotely from home, but not at the school next to the computer is trying to access

I have windows 7 Home premium edition. My laptop is a toshiba satellite A665, with a 64-bit operating system, I use the remote desktop connection for access to several computers at school. When I'm in the same room to access the remote desktop computers, it works very well (I tried all 5 computers).

From home, when I click on connect, simply Initializes the connection, then said he can't connect because 1) remote access server enabled not (I know I did it on the computers at school, as well as it worked before) 2) the remote computer is disabled, which is not true) 3 the remote computer is not available on the network (not sure what it means, so it could be the problem).

Why it would work very well before when in the same room and not at home?  Help!

    Thank you!

My husband rocks and told me that I had to be connected via my VPN. Then he helped me to install the cisco vpn and connect, so I can be on the appropriate network. All's well now :)

No screen turned visible, but I think you have your mail sorted as threaded. That's all mail on a conversation thread is placed together, and the thread open in a tree like the folders pane.

View (Alt + V) menu > sort by > unthreaded will turn it off.

  • Why Firefox from writing so given all the time?

I'm running Windows 7 x 64 and Firefox 8. In my task manager, I display the bytes of i/o to write to all processes. I found that Firefox is ALWAYS the process with the largest amount of bytes in writing, after that it worked an hour or two even though there are dozens of other processes. The only Web page is Google and all my plugins are disabled.

Why Firefox from writing so given all the time?

Firefox can be updated from the database of phishing protection or maintenance with other files as places.sqlite. It should be limited to a point if this was done.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem.

  • should I unplug iMac so that away from home for a period of time

I'll be away from home for 6 weeks, we have power periodic interruptions where I is direct, he bet to unplug the iMac and airport Time Capsule at the moment that I'm missing?

As long as the computer is turned off, it is not really necessary to unplug. IF you live in one are frequent interruptions with electricity then I would say strongly to get a UPS to protect your devices.

    Hey there Drummer3708,

I see that you are experiencing some problems with the accuracy of the GPS in your iPhone.  To help solve this problem, I suggest you follow through the tips below.

    Improve the accuracy of GPS

GPS accuracy varies according to the number of visible GPS satellites. Location of all visible satellites can take several minutes, with accuracy gradually increasing over time. Follow these tips to improve the accuracy of the GPS:

    • Make sure that you set the date, time and timezone correctly on the device in settings > general > Date & time. If possible, use the value automatically.
Important: Incorrect settings on your computer can sync to your device. Check the date, time and time zone on a computer that syncs with your device.
    • Restart your device.
    • Make sure you have a cell phone or Wi - Fi network connection. This allows assisted GPS (A - GPS) on the device to locate the fastest visible GPS satellites, in addition to providing information about the initial location using Wi - Fi or cellular networks.
Microcells (sometimes called Femtocells) are not supported with location Services.
    • Keep a clear view of the horizon in several directions. Please keep in mind that walls, vehicle roofs, tall buildings, mountains and other obstacles can block the line of sight to GPS satellites. When this occurs, your device will automatically use a Wi - Fi or cellular networks to determine your position until the GPS satellites are still visible.

Privacy and location for iOS Services 8 and iOS 9

    Take care.

    Hello

I upgraded my system from Home Premium to Ultimate successfully by any time to upgrade. I have run the windows update and the updates installed. Now my Windows update says I have to install SP1...

My windows update shows I need to install Windows vista service pack 1 kb936330 released 28/04/09

I can goahead and install it? My hard drive does not support the function of bit locker and I already install the KB937287 , kb935509 kb938371 necessary updates and all other updates in windows update.

If I install the SP1, I won't get the problem to enter the loop (stage 3 of 3 99% complete configuration) right. Coz, I already had this problem and reset my laptop to factory settings... Now I want to ensure, prior to SP1

Yes, you must install SP1... even just because SP1 is a sine qua non for the installation of SP2.

  • HP TouchSmart Tablet: unable to connect to wifi when away from home

Just to remind you, I'm not computer savy. I always thought that data on my phone meant that I was hooked up to wifi. I have to pay for some sort of service to use my laptop other than at home? I have wifi at home. Thank you!

None of the cell if the installer can use wifi connections or a cell phone. Mobile home mine is configured to use my wifi and when I'm out of reach it switches to the use of the cell phone Tower. It's for the smart phone not your regular clamshell phone types. So the best test is to take your laptop and go to a public wifi and see if you can connect to the wifi and use which would be another way to diagnosis if the problem is the Wi - Fi connection or something else.

  • Remote Desktop issues connecting from home to work the computer in Windows XP. Remote Desktop stops responding and eventually disconnects.

Just around the beginning of July (2011) I started to have remote Office questions when connecting from home to work. If I minimize the connection for a while and come back later, it will be often does not. I'll have to hit the close X button several times before, he ends by abruptly disconnects. By the sudden I want to say that I don't get no dialogue usual warning that the session will be disconnected.

Also, sometimes when I connect I get a white screen instead of a connection window.

Anyone know if there was a Windows Update, or anything that can cause problems with RDP.

I used to be able to connect perfectly without any problems.
