Why I am an overload

I myself am subscribed for a one year plan which should have ended on August 13, 2015 instead of this I just noticed that I'm always in charge and the price rose, I am unable to get assistance from the support centre, I want a refund of my money and the cancellation of the course outline

The purchased CC annual contract is automatically renewed & first prize of the year always is a promotional price.

  • Parallel insert with noappend hint

    Hello

    I have a question about parallel to insert with the noappend indicator. Oracle Documentation says that:

    Append mode is the default for a parallel insert operation: data are always inserted in a new block, which is allocated to the table. Therefore, the APPEND is optional. You must use Add method to increase the speed of INSERT operations, but not when the use of space must be optimized. You can use NOAPPEND to void append mode.

    When I delete (all) and insert (parallel use noappend) and I see the number of blocks used by my table always increases. The blocks must not be reused due to remove it before insert?

    Version; Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0

    Here is the script I used:

    drop table all_objs;

    create the table all_objs in select * from object where rownum < 10000;

    Start

    DBMS_STATS.gather_table_stats (User, 'ALL_OBJS');

    end;

    Select the blocks of all_tables where table_name = 'ALL_OBJS ';

    ALTER session enable parallel dml.

    Start

    I'm in 1.5

    loop

    delete from all_objs;

    Insert / * + NOAPPEND PARALLEL (8 O) * /.

    in all_objs O

    Select * from object where rownum < 10000;

    end loop;

    end;

    commit;

    Start

    DBMS_STATS.gather_table_stats (User, 'ALL_OBJS');

    end;

    Select blocks of all_tables

    where table_name = 'ALL_OBJS ';

    Output:

    Deleted table.

    Table created.

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    BLOCKS

    ----------

    142

    1 selected line.

    Modified session.

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    Validation complete.

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    BLOCKS

    ----------

    634

    1 selected line.

    Why block increase of 142 to 634 even with the noappend trick?

    Thank you.

    Well, looks like the expected result:

    Repeated insertions PARALLELS - a lot of direct path writes, table size increases as the lines are added above the HWM, final size after ten iterations = 10 x original size

    NOAPPEND PARALLEL repeated inserts - no direct path did not write, size of the table increases do not significantly, lines inserted under the HWM

    The NOAPPEND PARALLEL insert clearly is re-use of space released by the deletion. However, I wonder why there is an overload of 3,000 blocks? It would be interesting to see how the overhead varies according to the degree of parallelism.

  • 10.2.1 - system overload problem

    Hello

    I have problems with 10.2.1 not being able to play my existing projects due to system overload, when loaded in 10.2.0 they play absolutely great. So now I have two versions of the software on my machine but am very reluctant to use 10.2.1 for new projects where I'm getting the same problem and cannot use the 10.2.0 project.

    I have included a link to a video to show, I've loaded the song in 10.2.0 and played the "Chorus" section, quit smoking and loaded the same song in 10.2.1 then attempted to play the same section. There is nothing else running on my system.

    I'm on OSX 10.9.5 and have not updated because I use logic every day in my profession and can not afford to issues of upgrading risk affecting my work (the upgrade logic being a good example).

    Help, please.

    Kind regards

    Kevin.

    Kevin,

    Even if your video shows the problem it shows what it might because the causes are usually the 3rd party plugins that need to update... or a necessary for your Midi interface update tis / audio for example...

    Hard to say exactly... but I can say Im running in the two OS X 10.10.5 and 10.11.3 10.2.1... here on a test bench several Mac (Mac Pro, iMac, iMac 5K and Mac Mini Server) using Motu gear... with the latest drivers... and I do not see the overloads more that I saw less than 10.2 or 10.0.7...

    When the version of your OS X begins to age, it is possible that trying to use a modern application that is optimized for later versions of OS X, might be the cause... but as I don't have a Mavericks system based on test bench these days, I can't confirm that...

    That's why I don't update the logic or OS X unless I have absolutely or need on my main work here systems...

    Example: Im still running 10.6.8 and LP 9.1.6 as one of my main "workhorse"... as his stable, efficient and reliable systems...

  • How I bounce back without having to change the setting of 'Protection against overload only' amateur off EACH time?

    How I bounce back without having to change the setting of 'Protection against overload only' amateur off EACH time?

    This setting should be preserved, once you set it... so I'm not sure why you have to define every time...

    Then... Make sure that you put on ALL the tools of the art of logic in the preferences of LPX...

    Otherwise... you may need to reset the prefs of LPX... Put all the Tools Advanced again and the other preferences you have set... and see if that fixes things for you...

    You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not affect your media files. To reset your settings preferences of the user to Logic Pro X to their original state, do the following:

    1. Logic Pro X to quit smoking
    2. In the Finder, select go to folder menu reach.
    3. Type ~/Library/Preferences in the field 'go to folder '.
    4. Press the Go button.
    5. Delete the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you set custom shortcuts, it will reset to the default values. You can export your custom key as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X user manual for details on how to do this.
    6. If you are having problems with a control surface in Logic Pro X, you can also delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file in the Preferences folder.
    7. Restart the computer.

    Note: If you cannot find the files listed above, you don't follow the instructions properly!

  • Why is there not coherent diode to 0,7 v voltage drop?

    Evaluation version of Multisim11 students. In a domain controller series simple circuit with a resistance of 10 ohms and (3) in4148 diodes before biased, voltmeters through each equal tension to the diode with each diode, but when the dc supply voltage increases, the voltage at the terminals of each diode increases. A technician quiz (and the theory of diode) indicates that the tension will change not through the diodes and should stay at 0.7 to 1 diode, 1.4V 2, 2.1V through all three together, even while the supply voltage is increased, but why not Multisim reflects the basic diode theory? I use the default settings for counters and components. This was also a problem for reverse and measured from current levels of polarization tests. I'm almost never able to get the same results, as provided for in the school laboratories.

    10vdc, I get 1.593V each diode

    Get 3.777V each diode to 30vdc

    What's the dealio?

    I can I answered my own question by experimenting with the circuit. The value of 10 ohms resistance is not high enough to avoid overloading the diodes. A value more realistic of 1Kohm and tensions of 5-10 v using 3 diodes BAS16 show diode drop of tensions in the range of .691mV to .750mV. 30V even still shows a drop of .836mV diode.

    So what kind of diodes would work correctly in this circuit with a resistance of 10 ohms in series and a range of 10 - 30V dc voltage? The quiz of technician stated that this circuit has a resistance of 10 ohms. Maybe it was a typo?

  • An asynchronous call - why so long?

    LV 2013, Win7

    I have a window that comes and goes, during the operation of the program.

    This window has 72 sub-panels, each containing a retractable VI even copy for a "block".  I insert the VI in the secondary and then to run the VI with a call CALL and FORGET.

    When the user closed the window, the entire block live end, and the window closes.  I don't care if the closing backstage going again after the window disappears.

    But when the user leaves the program, with this window to the top, I need to make sure that the block screws have completed before I stop other things (close files, etc.).

    To this end, I changed the CALL and FORGET a CALL and operation COLLECT and installed a WAIT on ASYNCHRONOUS CALL to each instance at the end of the code window.  It is after the blocks have been ordered to die (via an event).

    I see the debug file (a part is represented) to about 1000 milliseconds to wait for all instances to die.

    The thing is, if I change to "0" to "1000", then what I expected, it is that the actual waiting time would< 100="">

    My thought is that during this timed wait blocks could die anyway, it would take less time to actually wait on them.

    But when I do that, nothing really changes.  Registered time is always above 1000 mSec.

    If I limit the number of blocks to 12, the time is 97 mSec, to 24, is 185, for 36, is 576 and so on - it is proportional to number of blocks.

    So, what is really?  If he waits just things die, why the timed wait does not affect the numbers?

    I initially (when I used CALL and FORGET) kept track of how many were opened and how much were closed and waited for that becomes zero, but it is a cleaner way to do it, at least in theory.

    Am I missing something?

    You can consider another approach to ensure that all instances of high school left, as a queue. Each instance is an element in the queue when it ends, then stops. Your cleanup code removes the elements in a loop For which runs once for each instance, so after each instance is finished he can proceed. This way to care not in the ORDER in which the sub-panels out, you simply confirm that they have completed all. Should be lower overload that call & collect.

  • Trying to download ExcelViewer.exe from Microsoft Download stop - why?

    I am running Windows XP and need the free ExcelViewer.exe of Microsoft, but the download using my ADSL line stops download streaming middle with 3 to 10 minutes of download time to go, why?  I tried several times but it stops at different times after that is 50-90% downloaded.

    I continued to try the download from Microsoft.  So eight, he went the distance and downloaded completely, after 6 pm PDT.  Maybe the server is overloaded?

  • __Why my CPU is overloaded?

    I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate edition 32-bit version. I also added a new SATA drive and a new floppy drive (he needed for a specific job). It took days to get the SATA drive works properly but it seems fine now.

    My problem: also often only once per minute goes to 100% CPU usage. At that time, everything hangs and I have to sit and wait for some of the CPU to clear. I've not timed, but the wait is about 1-2 minutes. It happens seemingly randomly, and it happens a lot.

    I watched the process tab of the Task Manager and a counter of CPU screen on (gadgets). Only two process never go high.  One is a game. The other is something called "system idle process". I don't know what is, or what he does.

    Now, I look at the process in the Task Manager. To add to the confusion, the system idle process is up to 97, but the CPU usage has remained at 1-4%.

    Can someone give me know how to track down the cause? Please, I beg you!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

    There are a number of reasons why a particular process can cause this type of overload. To get the right idea about your problem, please provide us with the configuration of your computer. Second, if possible, please get Hijackthis on bing and download the application. IT will generate a log file, please copy and paste the log here, so that we can analyse the issue.

    Second: The system idle process is something that you must not care, it causes no overhead on your system. Just by checking the task for programs/applications Manager causes the load on your CPU, make sure you check the box at the bottom that says see the processes from all users. Now that you mentioned a game (please call), other that try to start in safe mode by press F8 to start the system and select Safe mode, and then note if your processor still overloads.

    You also mentioned that you have recently upgraded to windows. In other words, is it possible that you missed out on a specific driver to install. Run windows update to resolve or corrupted driver pending problems. You can also go to Device Manager, if it can display any defective material (Start menu-> type-> press Device Manager on enter)

    On the other note, why has it taken you days to install the hard drive? Please empty, so that we cannot rule out the possibility of a faulty hard drive or a set config presents?

  • Query is running slowly (30 sec) first, then quickly - how to find out why?

    Hi all

    First of all, a warning: we are a company of rapidly growing software which provides a SaaS-like solution and is hosting an Oracle database for our own software running at client locations. I'm still not a DBA, but I've been learning for a while now and will follow appropriate courses, next year. This problem becomes urgent enough, however.

    We have an Oracle 12 c (12.1.0.1.7) running on a pretty Beefy hardware (card SSD 8 cores, 72GO,) and it works fine. One of our applications raise queries that run slowly very often, but when I run the same query through Toad, it is very fast again. Sometimes I can make the same query to be slow again by changing settings, adding values to an in(), etc., but not always. By not being is not in a position to know WHY the query is slow, I can not as a solution. We have been struggling with this problem for some time (more than a year, I think) and had the same problem when you still run Oracle 11.

    Some more bits of information that might be relevant:

    -This user defines cursor_sharing for force, per my request (the software itself does not lie)

    -J' put optimizer_index_caching at 25, because I know the DB all be in memory.

    -J' put optimizer_index_cost_adj at 50, because I saw full table scan too for my taste. The two parameters when it is while the queries were not already productive.

    -Memory: memory_target = 40 GB, db_cache_size = 5.5 GB, pga_aggregate_target = 8 GB sga_target = 30 GB

    -Optimizer_dynamic_sampling is the default, 2.

    -J' saw a few query plans have a note, something like "Explain plan was made with the statistics from previous executions. All do not have this, however.

    -J' saw some explain plans in which the actual recordings differ a large amount of the expected records, planned somethings was 1, real was 4 billion...

    -We actually had to add / * ordered * / for some queries to speed up execution. It's been a few other issues have better results (20 sec every time! to 200 ms), but worse when Oracle has finally found the execution plan (40ms).

    -Many queries seemed to start with arrays of harm to our taste.

    -A copy of the database, running locally, also had some problems with queries - the plan of the explain command took 2 seconds, the query itself only a few Ms. the same database of course does not receive any insert/update statements.

    It may be important to note that this scheme receives a lot of updates and inserts, so I thought that it could screw up the statistics?

    As I wrote, we have been struggling with this problem for a long, long time. We have made changes to hardware, the parameters of the Oracle, the client software, everywhere, but are no closer to a permanent solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Kind regards

    In particular the line 25 confuses me. Always this BITMAP AND even that crazy E-lines / difference A-lines. I'm sure that's the only reason for the poor performance of this query...

    I think you have a mixture of different effects here, which doesn't makes it really simple to understand exactly what is happening. To some extent this seems to be caused by the new features added in 11g and 12 c.

    1. looking at the trace of the files provided above, there seems to be some problem with dynamic sampling overload (DS). This seems to be one of the reasons why you have this "first slow exec", the second fast exec, in this case without a change of regime. In this trace file, it takes 5 seconds or more to run all these queries recursive dynamic sampling as part of the generation of the plan, and there are two DS queries that contribute significantly to that time (more than 3 seconds for these two DS queries).

    In order to have OPTIMIZER_DYNAMIC_SAMPLING 11 value causes these additional queries. The advantage of this setting is that you get good enough (join) estimates. Of course, it is difficult to judge how much you make this setting and how you lose the overhead of generating plan. New DS queries make use of the RESULT_CACHE have, in principle, reassessment of the same DS queries should come from the RESULT_CACHE. However, if your RESULT_CACHE is too small to contain all of the query results (although these result sets is usually very small) you can sometimes get slowdowns in generational terms if these queries need to be run instead of pull results from the cache.

    2. the function of vibration of statistics of course is involved and sometimes leads to a re-optimizing. Once again, this could then lead to the problem mentioned in point 1., if DS requests takes a long time to generate the plan.

    So these two functions together could lead to some difficult to predict behavior (slow first => possibly caused by DS, second time slow => caused by Feedback: statistics, leading again to DS, third etc. quick time.). It may also explain why you see 'first exec' slow, second fast exec, if re-optimizing na not take too much time and lead to a better execution plan.

    3. the special regard that seems to be the wide track as part of an internal source of lines join nested loop - and in this case, the estimates are * iterative *, so be careful when comparing E-lines (iteratively) with A-lines (cumulative across all iterations). The index used functionality combine to combine two indexes TASK_IDX1 and TASK_IDX2 suggest that it would be beneficial to add PERSON_ID to TASK_IDX1 and maybe get rid of TASK_IDX2 - but it might be appropriate to other queries, which I can't really judge. You can then check if adding more attributes to TASK_IDX1 it would make even more selective about the level of the index, as most of the lines for this particular query is filtered on the WORK table, so adding TASK level. FIXED, TASK. CLOSED and/or TASK. PLAN_START / PLAN_END it would make an even more effective operation. But adding PERSON_ID should solve this particular problem.

    4. the 'quick' this query (mentioned somewhere at the beginning) variation has no merge view inline (SELECT HELP... GROUP BY...), then you can try this by adding a NO_MERGE hint to the inline query (SELECT / * + NO_MERGE * / AID...), just to see if that gives you several times the plan 'rapid '. I still think that the index change described might be the best choice.

    5 SQL Directives of the Plan have been mentioned a couple of times, and I think that it is not quite clear to you what they are. They are not "advice", but are a new feature added to 12 c where Oracle persists some information on bad estimates and then evaluates these SQL Plan plan generation for dynamic additional sample queries and the production of statistics to create additional guidance extended statistics. I don't have enough experience with this new feature and therefore cannot judge how they play a role here. You can ask DBA_SQL_PLAN_DIR_OBJECTS and DBA_SQL_PLAN_DIRECTIVES to see if there are tickets for your particular objects in question.

  • Why all these numbers in Sass!

    I see this code in a template that I use. (this is just a snippet of the code) I'm new to sass and I was wondering if someone could give me an idea to a block like that and why someone use all these numbers. Is it really just a simple Bootstrap compressed? This comes from skel.scss. I understand it is a model you would use written by someone else, but how it really helps when you have the css designer who can really generate cela for you most easily. Except for the few blocks that you can use and if / if not which is nice I really do not understand. I stuck a bunch of code here, but my understanding here is minimal at best. I'm guessing that we put in place all these parameters and then call in our html code. How this record anywhere, anytime. There is a lot of work here, and it lights up. File html, to me, seems far from being dry as is the Bootstrap. Now, I could almost see the advantage and understand if you would reuse this code to countless projects (hem looking for yuk!) very similar but just one or two sites, that it seems easier to just do the old-fashioned way or am I missing something in the big picture of things. The implementation looks like it would take a lot of time for is so sophisticated and that a lot can go wrong here. I'm sure that these questions are answered in some blog somewhere and if you have this link would be great. I found Lang and compass thanks Ben. Thanks to everyone and as always, this forum is my go to spot!

    What you have shown is a skeleton, a sensitive design framework Sassified version. I have not worked with it and don't know the subtleties.

    Because you learn to use Sass, it is best to start with what you already know in CSS. Take a look at s-21616 http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/recommendations-for-a-faster-workflow-with-sass--cm , ignoring the little Sublime text. You could also Google the subject, the problem, it is the information overload that is not desirable at this stage.
