  Hi, I recently updated to Win10 I've taught it will be easier way for installation after upgrade fees, but the reset button does not work so I decided to return to 8.1. If there is more than 2 GB of system ram won't start. No idea where is the problem? for 2 years this computer worked perfectly.

  PS: Does anyone know how to reflash the BIOS I have spin A12 which is the most recent, but I want to just make sure that the BIOS is not messed up. DELL utility allows not only update reflash. Does anyone know how to force the upgrade of BIOS?

  So I found the problem, it's a BIOS. I tried to reset it in PIN on MB and it did not help removed battery no change I found that the BIOS utility can be forced thru cmd. So I did and the finishing of the bios update successful she even seems scary cos for any computer freezes. but that came on and after several early I can again use all the RAM slot with what ram size I want.

  How to force the update of the BIOS...
  Open cmd as administrator
  and run the exe with command extra /forceit in my case "A12.exe /forceit".
  Voila BIOSupdate is running

  I just wanted to post not knowing not if someone else has had this experience or not with the new update but my remote takes about 60 seconds before it can be used to do anything, before it was just instantaneous. I can click on the touchpad for the resulting selection a million times not (in many applications therefore is not just one). Drag and scrolling are slowed and delayed almost like delay. Video streaming of quality went down constantly stopping to buffer (once again several apps not only one). None of these things were already a problem before because I got it in December, including the day of use before the update. Anyone else affected by these issues, other issues, I should be on the lookout for, a work around one of them?

  Check the Task Manager > processes to see exactly what is running. Look for first two process
  use relatively large amounts of RAM, for example 50 000 k or more.
  If you see a program using a lot of RAM and you do not need this program that runs in the background all the time then you can stop it to load with Windows through the Configuration of the system
  (Type msconfig in the command run or start search for the menu bar to open Sys Config).
  Go to the Startup tab and uncheck the box next to any program that you know you don't need
  having loading when you start in Windows.

  If you can't find anything using a lot of memory when you view the Task Manager, you run

  Hmm, I even downloaded the Satellite 1410 user manual and it shows that the computer supports 1 GB of RAM. This means that you can install the module of 512 MB RAM in each slot for a maximum of 1 GB of capacity

  You can try to install the RAM module in the worst case the computer will not start or recognize it. Then you may have to remove the module but that s just what can happen in the worst case. :)

  In 9 years. I re XP 5 times because it was the ONLY done fixthat my Dell Dimension 8250 run fast. I kept all the updates, ran the cleaners of files, defragmented the hard drive, put the parameters to performance don't not Visual, even added more than 512 MB ram (1 GB total) that has MADE for a month or 2 really speed things up, but it is also to slow. The last time I put the XP disk in there was this msg: "Setup cannot continue because the version of windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD. ANY HELP is HIGHLY appreciated as this is the measure of my ability of fix - it - happy to post here any info you need to diagnose this bottleneck problem, thanks, Patrick

  Do yourself a favor. After your next relocation and after you get it until you're happy with it (install SP3 and all subsequent security patches, install all the programs that you use regularly, install a good antivirus, install the latest versions of Adobe Flash and Java, etc.), make an image of your hard drive. This way you will EVER need to reinstall your OS again! Acronis and Paragon are good programs. DriveImageXML is a good gift (but doesn't have as many features as imaging programs paid).

  About the General slowness, here are the usual causes:

  1. malware (malware). You need to rule out first! This page has excellent information:

You should be able to sort by CPU usage or memory usage for a good ideas that are resource/memory hogs. You must write the names of all the processes for future detective work (or take a snapshot and print it).

  There are two solutions to this problem:

  (1) rework your design so that you place up to 20 items in a custom component. Flash Catalyst 5.5 allows the communication between components, so the transition from a custom to another component is easier. There are a few forum posts on this subject that should help you

  (2) create the drawing in Flash Catalyst, then extend it using Flash Builder to have photos to be manipulated programmatically.
