Why is good my InDesign CS6 program hangs at startup?

I bought this program a bit less than three years as part CS6. It cost me a lot of money and now I find that there is no support for program incompatibilities with the latest version of Mac OS. Why is this acceptable?

I was able to get InDesign open after trying various things. I'll provide some information in case it might help someone who is having the same problems.

I'm working on an older Macbook Pro unibody model.

Things that don't work / are not impacting on my situation:

(1) screw up the two preference files and cache InDesign does not seem to affect what anyone. There is another way to trash the preferences. You start the program, and then immediately press 4 buttons at the same time: CTRL + SHIFT + ALT/OPTION + COMMAND (you should get a pop-up window asking if you want to delete the preferences).

(2) Java. I had already installed the runtime Java 6 legacy because I was getting messages on this subject in Photoshop and Illustrator. If you need, you can find it here:

The thing that worked:

Create a new user account in the Mac system preferences. For some reason, I can run InDesign (apparently without problems so far) to the new account.

    It solved! Apparently in the Mavericks, hide it the bar menu gave indesign crash. Weird, but true.

    Clear the cache of your browser and make sure you only have enabled cookies.

    If the problem persists there could be something to the top with the servers and you will have to wait a day to get thru - I heard something was gbeing worked on but don't know the details.

  • Ss12 and CS6 crash/hang on startup

    A couple of months, I started having problems with all my programs Adobe, including the first 12 elements and Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.  While they used to open very quickly my player in solid state, now they all are going to take forever to open or will usually just crash and don't open any.  I did not of any hardware or software that I know. one day, they're all just decided to not work.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall all institutions.  Here is an example of message I get when accidents of elements:

    Since you have multiple Adobe products installed on the same computer and you have already explored a lot of variables, I'll ask you to try the following

    Restart the computer and determine if this optimization of the computer had no impact on the issue.

    There is a "Adobe CCleaner" (as in creative cloud CC is my understanding). It is not the same as the free ccleaner which I am pointing to you. It is my understanding that CCleaner Adobe doesn't have the ability of the ccleaner to clean record.

    In this approach, we are looking to clear vestige of the incomplete uninstalls and reinstalls for Adobe like Adobe not produced.

    Based on the results, we'll think of this topic even more.

    reset your preferences by pressing cmd-shift-alt (mac) or shift-ctrl-alt (win) when you start dw.  If done correctly, you will see a confirmation dialog box.

  • CS6 first hangs at startup

    I use a Windows8 platform and has been downloaded, Photoshop and AferEffects using the Adobe Application Manager Cloud.

    However, after you downloaded and installed the first in the same way, I start the product, and it exposes the following:

    1 GUI is oversized for the size of the screen (1366 x 768)

    2. only the menu bar is displayed, otherwise the GUI is inclompleted in opening

    3. by clicking any part of the screen causes the sound of Windows to inaccessible

    Using the Task Manager, I looked to see if any framed or such had opened at startup. None was obvious.

    The only way I can close the first is by using the Task Manager

    I uninstalled and reinstalled using the Application Adobe Creative Cloud Manager, but this has not changed the results.

    Hi people... my InDesign CS6 program shows me this message when I have a file for May 12-14 months... time to go a difficulty to start!

    I can just close the message and turn it back on and it works, but this is not how it was suppose to work.  Adobe has just "Updated" InDesign CS6 about an hour ago, but has NOT fixed this glitch.  That seems unfair to me so I'm now come over here to see what you guys know, and if you can help.

    See replace your preferences and also empty folder of InDesign recovery. Unless you have moved it, it will be the same folder as InDesign SavedData file in the link. Here are the HIDDEN folders.

    Body may have gone to the following, because one has failed.

    I remember with Kontakt 4 (and some older products OR) that you need to actually launch the version of product point until plug-ins would actually work.

    Can you launch each app OR restart directly, for luck, and THEN try to launch the body?

    The company I work has bought for several licensed copies of more creative and since then it has been installed. I use the machine with the following characteristics:

    CPU: i7-3770 @ 3.4 (4 core, 8-wire, 8 MB cache)

    Operating systems: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, mount 7601)

    RAM: 8 GB DDR3

    V/c: Radeon HD 5450

    HARD drive: 60GB SSD OCZ Vertex 3 (primary)

    HARD drive: 1 x 2 + 1 x 1 TB SATA 3 discs.

    About 3 weeks, the machine has become unresponsive due to a problem of Photoshop CS6 64-bit with Internet Explorer. At that time, I had to kill the process in Task Manager; and since then, it has not been the same since.

    All 64-bit for Adobe Creative Suite applications, take so long to open; I can go and have a cup of coffee and come back to find that it's still bloody loading. If I charge for example, Photoshop 32 - bit edition, it loads almost immediately. What is good in the beginning, but as soon as I use the feature drop drag as I always do. Especially when I need to crop an image in high resolution, regardless of the question of whether the image in high resolution (8 MB to 16 MB) stored locally or on a server. the application takes forever and forever to load the image of crazy.

    The amount of memory allocated to the application begins to slightly more than 125 MB and then ends up to 1.5 TB; How again does not place anything except sit there idling without apparent reason.

    This morning, opening InDesign CS6, took about 10 minutes to open. I remember well, last week, I had closed all the files before you close the application itself. Then why the hell it takes this bloody time to do.

    I checked the Adobe Application Manager, and everything is up-to-date. Microsoft Windows 7 is updated. So, what else is the problem. What is services which is the source of the problem?

    Before I deleted fonts, I checked the time date stamp. As I also use Corel Draw X 6, a program call "Bit Font Navigator' that loads fonts from third party and gives a list; where you can choose which fonts you want, and they can be installed. The installation isn't that short, so the fonts real themselves, are not actually sitting in the fonts directory; unless of course you physically copy all this in what is rather stupid.

    Whenever I load (start-up costs) system, there is a date stamp time indicated the same day where he will automatically load the fonts from an external source in the Windows fonts directory.

    I only checked in the latest dates and subsequently deleted the fonts of this particular group; 29/04/2013. I didn't touch anything else. Regarding police Tahoma, I checked that too. It shows the date of publication 05/11/2011. Just to remind, I touched only the fonts that had the year 2013 in them.

    After a reboot later, that's when I noticed these other issues.

    Hmm... I think it's possible I could have deleted Verdana by mistake, since the timestamp of the date for it's 04/03/2013. In this case could explain the circumstances that I lived.

    Yes, you need to uninstall Adobe Creative cloud only, if you are unable to uninstall creative cloud through the tool cleaner and error message you shared above.

    Please go through the below mentioned location and remove the file name ""ffc " "

    Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OOBE\ (to view the AppData folder and program hidden data, see files, folders, file name extensions |) Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7)



    * After the removal of FFC file run the cleanup tool and uninstall Adobe creative only cloud.

    I see that your Adobe Id is associated with an expired / suspended Design CC subscription.

    If you have CC desktop app installed please uninstall and uninstall Indesign CC as well. and then try to use Indesign cs6. It may ask you to click on license this software and ask for serial key that you can use to activate it.
