  • Photo library take too much space even with active iCloud

    I am paying to iCloud and I have hundreds of GB available, yet my iPhone 5 c is constantly telling me I'll have storage problems, mainly caused by the photo library, containing several GB.  I have iCloud library enabled, as well as the option 'optimize iPhone storage '.  Photos latest have already transferred in my library, so I know that photos download correctly and not late, but why the library still takes so much space?

    Because it is.

    If you have used all available space on your phone, you need to remove some content on the phone.

    The setting "Optimize phone Storage" is not magic. Your phone still has a finite amount of space. It may be that pictures should be removed, but it will be something.

    Check the settings > general? Use storage & icloud. Look what's too much your space.

    No other way in addition to the storage option optimize. The next 'solution' would only be delete photos.

  • Can I return to 38.0.1 2.0.0.24? Toolbars take too much space: subject bar not minimizable and attachments are a separate tool bar rather than online.

    The massive 38 version of space around the titles and toolbars; the "subject" bar takes the massive space and is therefore no longer minimizable and attachments display in a new toolbar background rather than in the bar as to, subject and SIZE.

    It seems to me that you have not yet installed https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/compactheader/

    THANK YOU, WAYNE. This addon got the + and - back themed bar releasing much needed content space.

    It leaves the 'bar fixing' at the bottom that is just a minor inconvenience, takes little vertical space. In the old system, it was just an element in the list of properties for incoming e-mail.

    Once again, thank you very much for your excellent help. Best for you, Eddie

  • Why my contact list takes as much memory?

    Help!  I have 288 contacts and the phone reports they take ~ 38 MB of storage!  It's ridiculous...

    Phone copy ringtones and images associated with a contact in the local memory, or to link to them on the SD card?

    If memory, how can you

    1. say the size taken up by each contact (so I can locate the offenders)?
    2. remove the ring and / or the image of the memory?

    NOTE: I tried to delete an image and the ring setting to my default and it did NOT help...

    Have you seen this in management applications setting?  That's a lot of memory.  I don't know why he would use so much.  I checked my and he used only 4 KB.  You should be able to empty by clearing the data.  Press Menu-> settings-> Applications-> manage data applications-> Menu-> Filter-> All-> Contacts-> Clear-> OK.  I tried this on my phone just to make sure that you don't lose anything and I didn't lose any contacts or information.  When I did this it dropped to 0 for a short period and is then returned to its original 4 KB.  I exported my Contact list on the SD card just as a precaution.  You can do this by opening the Contacts application and then tap Menu-> Import/Export.  I hope this helps.

  • Errfile, msgfile, logfiles take too much space

    Hi all

    After completing more than 30,000 files PDF, three records, started upward the huge space memory. We use the process in 2 steps using gendata and genprint and those who do not update files. Is it possible to get reset when a new route is executed within the Documaker? We do not want to go and ask our administrators for cleaning whenever make us a run.

    We use Documaker 12.3

    Thank you!

    Again, making assumptions here, so your particular implementation is maybe just a little bit different.

    You can set this option INI GENDATA clearly the 3 files in question before you start:

    < gendata="">

    ClearMsgFile = Yes

    You can also use this option, which will remove the immediate creation of the ERRFILE (you will need to run the utility manually TRANSLATE to get error messages after the batch is finished.)

    < control="">

    ImmediateTranslate = No

    Or you can use the script mentioned previously; Here is an example of Linux:

    #! / bin/bash

    export PATH = / home/oracle/fap/dll: ${PATH}

    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH = / home/oracle/fap/dll: ${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}

    gendata/ini = fsiuser.ini

    If [$?-4] then

    RM f data / errfile.dat

    RM f data / msgfile.dat

    RM f data / logfile.dat

    genprint/ini = fsiuser.ini

    on the other

    echo "errors in GENDATA.

  • How to store games so that they do not take too much space on the hard drive (XP Prof). And how do I know what files are 'useless' before I remove them?

    In very simple terms please

    Some games offer the opportunity to install some files only when you are setting them up, others not.  There is nothing you can do to force a game to use more or less hard disk space it wants to use.

    Clean 'files' is a losing proposition.  Unless you're the type who has dozens of movie files to several gigabytes of each hard drive there is no way to clean up "the files" in quantities reasonable for free hard drive space.

    It seems that if your hard disk becomes full or is full and should be replaced by a larger.  It is the only real solution to the problem, if so.  Get a bigger hard drive, transfer your current installation of Windows itself and be happy.

  • How can I keep TB take too much space on my hard drive?

    I could understand what a file being corrupt and do weird things, but I think that your saying several files are affected, so I work really just through what I think might work...

    Perform a backup of your profile (I am a little concerned corruption can see mail disappear)

    Then all your folders using compact in the compact file menu.

    Exclude files of Thunderbird to 'access' or 'resident' scan profile in your anti virus.

  • Why lightroom takes as much HARD drive space?

    Hi guys.

    I am currently using the trial of Lightroom CC, really interested in buying, but one thing really bothers me.

    I left on my Macbook 10 GB of storage. After you import all my RAW files that are stored on a disk of 1 TB external HARD, my Macbook internal storage has dropped to 8GB.

    I was under the impression that Lightroom does not copy the pictures in its library, but references the original files on the external HARD drive.

    What would be the reason why take so much space?

    My Macbook's internal storage is very limited, so I have to rely on external hard drives, so this is a dealbreaker for me.

    Thank you

    Hi stuontour

    The best thing to do in such a situation would be to keep the catalog and images on the external hard drive.

    How do mentioned below-

    • Open Lightroom
    • Click file - new catalogue
    • Now create a new catalog on the external hard drive and click ok
    • Lightroom opens now with this new catalogue
    • Click Import, and then use the Add option to import images

    In this way, you can keep all the data on the external hard drive, but ultimately you need to increase your HARD drive you can install plugins or applications of presets.

    Concerning

    Rohit

  • Why the system takes so much hard drive space (about 110 GB)?

    How can I reduce it. I can't imagine why it takes so much space. does anyone have an idea?

    System: T400, bussiness Vista 32

    Hi Halloechen_Wei,

    Probably of rescue and recovery made a bunch of backups that are too much space. I don't remember exactly what we call the option, but if you start the Rescue and Recovery program, there's a way to 'recover space' or something like that. Essentially, you can remove some of the backups to recover the part of hard disk space.

    Good luck
