Why Java tell me there's an update every day so I have the current version?

Every java update appears in the dashboard telling me that there is an update.  When I click on it, it starts to day and said that I already have the latest version of Java.  Why do we say that I need an update if I have the latest version.  Most of the programs are smart enough to check first.  How can I fix it so it will update when it is really necessary, not on a daily basis, without disabling the automatic updates.

If the update is applied and you are running the latest version of java,

then check the box "do not ask again... until the next update".
