Why Lens profile creator Adobe would distribute the checkboards form of JPGs?

Disappeared, JPGs are a bad idea for images that contain a small number of colors (low compression) and sharp edge (ringing artifacts).  So why then Adobe would distribute the checkboards for lens profile Creator as JPG, rather than a more appropriate as PNG format?

  • Adobe Lens profile Creator for Windows - accidents with DNG and Windows 10 files

I have trtied to a profile for my Bower 14 mm F2.8, but each time the Adobe Lens profile Creator for Windows crashes and says out of memory

    What?

    A few things to try.

    1. click on the image with the warning icon (triangle).

    2. on the Calibration tab, uncheck the box model Chromatic Aberration

    3. on the Advanced tab, confirm or set rectilinear lens model on three parameters radial distortion

    4. on the Advanced tab, confirm or set the main Point to the best estimate

To the point #1, you can remove/replace this image. It is possible that the detection of the grid is a failure due to the insufficient image exposure or sharpening.

To article #2, correction of chromatic aberration is now handled by eliminating Chromatic Aberration on the color of lens corrections tab. CA data in the profile you generate will be ignored.

  • How is the best way to capture image in lens profile Creator?

Hello, I read in the trouble-shooting Guide associated with Adobe Lens profile creator:

When the frame of the chart in different areas of the image of the image, use a combination of physically moving and tilting the camera to obtain an optimal balance for the generation of LCP.

    i. only to move the camera to frame, so that the plan of the image is perfectly parallel to the table, can have a detrimental effect on the calibration of PCL data.

II. only tilting the chart can lead to problems of depth of field, where the part of the graph can go too far blurred due to the wide angle of the chart regarding the level of the image. This can also have a detrimental effect on the LCP calibration data

OK, but I am not able to understand at all, please help me:

    (1) is it better if I will rotate the camera on the tripod to the left and to the right, or is - this better physically move the tripod on the left and right?

    2) is better if I'm going to tilt upward or toward the bottom of the camera on the tripod or it's better picking upwards or downwards the tripod bar?

    (3) if it is better to do a combination of tild and rotate and move the camera how do I know the optimal combination?

I hope that someone who has experienced this could explain better

    Thank you everyone

    Damiano

I don't know which is technically great, but there is a practical convenience aspect here, as well.

In my experiences with it, I moved physically the tripod in the direction of left and right and then refocused the camera vertically as required in order to put the target in the desired part of the image. I was happy with the results, although I did no comparative study deep.

IMO what technique allows you to perform a sufficient variety of acquisitions reasonably attentive, without being too difficult, and who does not renounce the analysis tool, will probably be good enough.

  • Sony: Lens profile Creator knows the subject distance, ACR does not

When you do a profile of lenses for Sony alpha DSLR, lens profile creator identifies the focal distance and treats each distance accordingly. However, when loading in ACR (or PS lens correction filter), the software does not display the distance. Why then LPC read the distance between the subject and ACR cannot?

The distance reported in ACR/bridge is based on metadata, if they are available. The distance reported by SALW and stored in the profile is an estimate calculated directly by the SALW based on the size of the printed patch and the size of the patch captured (in pixels of the screen), among other factors. For many cameras, #1 is not available, even if #2 is.

  • Lens profile creator table: where can I download?

    Hi all

There is almost nothing available for Sony A Mount lenses (in particular the Minolta glass I use a lot), I need to create my own lens profiles. I see some tutorials for this using a graphic checkerboard, but no source for getting the card or at least a PDF, etc. that I can myself out. If I have to, I can take the specifications for the square size and spacing and make one myself. If anyone has a source of the graph, or said the plug, I would appreciate it a lot.

  • Why a spare screen resolution would affect the speed of the system?

I changed my screen resolution from 1024 x 768 to 800 x 600 to test a Web site that I built and that includes another CSS file for 800 x 600 screens. Immediately, I noticed that most of the common functions I do in Explorer - as the opening and closing of windows, goes into the secondary drive, by clicking on the menu Starrt to display programs - were almost twice as fast. The reason for this?

    Hi okieseeker,

If the graphics card supports higher resolution, then it is one that is recommended to optimize the computer's performance.

If you decrease the resolution, it would cause the variation in the performance of the computer.

    Hope the helps of information.

With the help of Livecycle Designer ES2 9, with Acrobat Pro 10.0.3. Stand-alone application.

The form as and functions perfectly without security, but we need the code to be subject. What Miss me?

    Thank you

The distribution mechanism is trying to add code to your form (to control the distribution). Because you have locked PDF file this code cannot be added and so the message. You need to distribute your form in a different way or let your form without warranty.

  • Why my printer Photosmart C would prevent the selected print areas in Excel 2010?

I need to print selected areas of my worksheets on a regular basis.  When I try to do, my printer only prints the first column and don't know anything about the reset of the selected area.  I tried zone print setting in Excel.  Does not work.  Shy of reinstalling the driver, what can I do to rememdy this problem?

Well, according to the information I found the issue isn't with print but in Excel software. Here is a document on how to print a selected area in Excel:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/10451/print-only-selected-areas-of-a-spreadsheet-in-Excel-2007-2010/

Is that what you do that deviates from this? Were you able to make an impression of a selected from any other excel file area? Also, what are the contents of the cells you want to print?

Let me know and I'll do what I can to solve this problem for you!

  • Where can I find the lens for my Canon mount Rokinon 14 mm lens profile?

I'm looking for the profile of the lens of a 14 mm Rokinon lens mount Canon.  I use an iMac running OS X El Capitan and Lightroom CC 10.1.1.

    Jean ndiaye says:

I'll try to find where the Downloader placed the profile and then move to... users (subfolder?) files.

Adobe Lens profile Downloader will automatically place the profile of lenses to the location of the user folder. On my Windows 7 system, it installs the lens here profiles:

    C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0\Downloaded

On a Mac system they should be installed here:

    Macintosh HD / users / [username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / LensProfiles /.

In the profile panel, select 'Make' > 'Canon' and then look in the 'Model' list entry "Samyang 14 mm F2.8. You may need to scroll through the list by using the small arrow at the bottom of the list to see.

  • I want to add lens profiles to lightroom6. How should I proceed. MP-E 65, TS-E 24mm TS - E 90mm?

In Lightroom 6 can chose a lens profile correction.  Unfortunately, I have 3 lenses that do not have a correction of the predetermined goal.  These lenses are Macro MP - E 65 and the original version of the TS-E 24mm TS-E 90 mm.

Once you get these profiles, how to add them to the list?

You can use the free tool Adobe Lens profile Creator to create profiles of lenses for less common to work in Lightroom and Photoshop/ACR lenses?

If Adobe does not already, it's the only way to get a profile.

However, I recently had to reinstall windows and even if I have the profile of a lens works well (Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 VTS) - my other lens is not - I need to select each time instead of it being automatic fill.

Select the correct lens profile and then click the down arrow next to "Setup" and select 'Save new lens profile by default is'. The new lens profile should now be used automatically.

Profile of lenses Sigma the BTW - is already included in LR 5.7. You should not need to add a lens user profile for that lens. EDIT: Sorry for both these lens profiles are included in LR 6.1.1
