Why Lightroom creates duplicate records?

I use Lightroom 5 for about a year, no problem. I have someone has accidentally created a second folder Lightroom, and now LR has it filled with duplicate files exactly like those of my original file in LIGHTROOM. How can I get rid of him? And how I accidentally create it?

A lot of people seems to have this problem, in many versions of Lightroom that dates back at least 2011.

Here is a short report I did once I found out how to solve. I hope this is of use.

Description of the problem:

After that import new fotos Lightroom shows them to be in a new directory tree, with the same name as the original directory tree destiny/target - except the name of the directory is all in CAPITALS. (Some people report unfunded duplicates!).

In Lightroom, there are two directories with the same content. Note that no new record is actually created, LR think that there is a (you can check with 'show in Finder'). So, even if it seems that there are files and directories in doubles, in reality they are all correctly located in the original directory. LR is simply confused. Happened to me in the LR4 LR5 all versions.

This only happens with some Lightroom catalogs. If you use multiple catalogs, some may be OK, others not.

Workaround to get rid of the capitals and directories in duplicate:

In Lightroom:

  1. Update folder location of capitals in the correct folder in lowercase (right click on the folder of capitals, and then choose "update folder location")
  2. Lightroom will ask if OK to merge the two - say Yes.
  3. Now, everything seems to be OK, except that with the new import key file will reappear.

How to get rid of the problem of capitalization for this specific directory/catalogue altogether:

In the OS x Finder:

  1. Create a new folder with a different name (at the same level in the hierarchy of the old directory).
  2. Move the contents of the old folder to the new folder, delete the old folder.

In Lightroom:

  1. Starting Lightroom.
  2. LR now can not find the old folder, so reconnect you the library in the new folder ("update folder location", as above)
  3. Rename the new folder in the name of origin.

Later when importing no capitals directory will appear. (That's until LR merges once again - I was not able to determine what are the causes for this).

    RE: Multiple projects

This sounds like you save copies 'Project' in the "Draft" folder on the server and not the folder 'Project' in the local folders.

I guess when you compose e-mail, a copy of the draft is saved maybe more than once until the folder is synchronized, so to save more than one copy.

Is it possible that there is a project of rogue email which you can see via webmail, but not through Thunderbird. This test by deleting all emails via Thunderbird project and right click on the project "folder and select"compact".» Then login to webmail, check the project folder to see if it is really empty.

    Another option:
If you do not need to keep a copy on the server, then I suggest you use the "Project" folder in the local folders. Set up here:

    • Tools > account settings > Copies and folders for the account
    • Under projects
    • Select 'Other' and 'writes the Local folder.
    • Click OK
  • Create multiple records instead of single record.

    Form of Oracle 10g

    Hi all

Enjoy id someone help me, I have a form and when I insert data in that form it will create a record in the database table, now my requirement that it will create 3 records in the same table, can someone tell me the logic to create 3 files instead of one.

I intend to create a database triggers but do not know who is a valid choice of not.  Thank you

    Hello

If you want to do your job the way you want I suggest the creation of a joint table between

    trans_amt

    trans_type

called trans_amt_type , why do we not have to think about that... ?

Since it is a bad db design. It is supposed to rely on different types of Trans Table as a look up table where you can set different than necessary trans at all times.

Now, let's start on the VALIDATION KEY or insertion after Trigger (how economy and then duplicate record is as follows:)

You can use the following logic:

    INSERT INTO table1 (column1..), SELECT col1... FROM table2 WHERE vc_amt > 0 and rs_amt_no _no = 0 and ct_amt_no = 0;

And as for the conditions of rest...

    or

    INSERT INTO trans_amt_type (col1, col2,vc_amt_no, trans_type,col4, ...)
    values (select col1, col2 from

    (select col1, col2,:vc_amt_no,'V', col4 rn rownum

    from trans_amt where --relation FK & PK---) ;

    Amatu Allah.

Want to get answers that work?  Then make sure that the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements you post too much work.  Test (and, if necessary, correct) your statements before committing.  You have a stray "." in the first INSERT statement for received_bills and receikved_bills.status is defined as VARCHAR2 (5), but all values are 6 characters long.

There are 5 lines in send_bills that are similar to the

    10 OCTOBER 2015 19 A1

Why do you want that 2 rows like this in the output, not 1 or 3, or 4 or 5?  Is it because there are 2 matching rows in received_bills?  If so, you can do something like this:

    WITH rec AS

    (

    SELECT the reference, payment, code

, ROW_NUMBER () OVER (PARTITION BY datum, payment, code)

    ORDER BY NULL

    ) AS r_num

    OF received_bills

    Situation WHERE = 'SUCCESS'

    )

    send AS

    (

    SELECT the reference, payment, code

, ROW_NUMBER () OVER (PARTITION BY datum, payment, code)

    ORDER BY NULL

    ) AS r_num

    OF send_bills

    )

    SELECT send.datum, send.payment, send.code

    REC, send

    WHERE send.datum = rec.datum

    AND send.payment = rec.payment

    AND send.code = rec.code

    AND send.r_num = rec.r_num

    ;

Note that the main request is very similar to the query you posted, but the last condition has changed.

If you need to insert these lines in another table, you can use this query in an INSERT statement. There is no need of a loop, or for any PL/SQL.

  • Windows creating duplicates that absorb CPU

Hello. I had this problem with my pc. It worked rather slow lately even with a system repair. I found that my system has created duplicates of files. Files such as iexplorer.exe and svchost.exe. That was really annoys me, is it possible to fix this?

It is normal to see multiple copies of svchost.exe in the Manager of tasks and depending on your version of IE, you can see multiple copies of that too.

However, some malware can hide behind or disguise themselves to, you will not be able to see in the Task Manager (they know that you will not be able to see in the Task Manager).

First of all, you should tell us something about your system.

Then, no matter what you use for malware protection, run him recommend scans below to at least try to be sure your system is not afflicted with malicious software.

Then if you still have problems, we can look at it some more.  No one wants to work on a system where we have no information.  No one wants to work on a system that could have malicious software in it.

If you are interested in why it is normal to see multiple copies of things like svchost.exe and iexplore.exe in your task manager, I'll be happy to explain that later - after that you comply with the above request (answering questions and run both scanners).

Because the Microsoft Answers forum does not ask for any type of information system when a new question is asked so we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

What is your version of Internet Explorer?

Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

Do you see that you think not you should see and when you see it?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

  • Check duplicate record all by preventing insertion

    Hello

I have a scenario where I need to insert records from 20 000 to 30 000 daily in a table that has data in millions.

Keep inserting a record in duplicate and in the event of any duplicate record, this issue need to be logged in another table.

I used FORALL except SAVE to allow loading of all records not not duplicate. But with this approach, I am unable to know which record was duplicate or problems in the insertion.

Also I can't use triggers to connect each record before insertion because I only need the duplicate records. Also, trigger will slow down performance.

Guide kindly on what approach I should follow to do this (which are also good performance as data are huge).

    Kind regards

WHERE ROWID > (SELECT MIN (ROWID)
    IN tab B
    WHERE B.col1 = A.col1
    AND B.col2 = A.col2
    )
This was removed and the first record to some places, but it has worked in some places. I am not able to understand why it was wrong in some places.
    I'm working on Oracle 10 g
    Please suggest.

    Thank you.

Duplicate records mean reproduce according to specific columns (in your example, col1 and col2).
If you want the trial to be held, you must determine all first according to what, if you mean the first entered record (which is not safe, and you should rely on an explicit column).
    You can use

    SELECT *
      FROM tab A
WHERE ROWID NOT IN (SELECT MIN (ROWID)
                           FROM tab B
                          WHERE B.col1 = A.col1 AND B.col2 = A.col2)

    or use a column

    SELECT *
      FROM tab A
WHERE col3 NOT IN (SELECT MIN (col3)
                           FROM tab B
                          WHERE B.col1 = A.col1 AND B.col2 = A.col2)

    Saad,

  • Why is my Panel records did not reflect the folders on my hard drive?

When I import photos into Lightroom, I set it up so that the images are sorted in folders by date. For example, I created a folder in 2011, so if I import photos taken on December 18, 2011, Lightroom creates a subfolder in my 2011 called 2011-12-18 record and dives photos imported into this folder. I used Lightroom for years, and in all this time, after an import, I see the folders in the library panel, as this (parent folder of 2011 with all subfolders named by date):

    1.png

Now, instead, Lightroom is to put the images imported into the right place on my hard drive (creating a subfolder with the date and put the images imported into this folder), but in the folders in the library panel, the folder containing the image is not displayed in the appropriate parent folder.

Here is a screenshot of the import dialog box showing that I import an image and that Lightroom will create a new folder named 2011-12-18 and place the image inside (in this screenshot, you can not see this new folder is a subfolder of 2011, but you can tell it is a subfolder of the same level as all other folders for all other dates) :

    2.png

After import, when I look in my Finder, a new image folder is in the right place (here you can see it is in the subfolder of the folder 2011 2011-12-18):

    4.png

But it does appear in the files from my library not Panel not as a * subfolder * 2011, but at the same time for 2011.

    3.png

If I try to drag the 2011-12-18 folder in the folders Panel in 2011 folder in the folders Panel, I get the following error message:

    5.png

So my only option to correct the problem with the files Panel is to do the following:

    1. go to the Finder and move this folder 2011-12-18 to my office. This causes Lightroom does not know where the file is and put the big question mark on it in the folders Panel.

2 right click on the folder with the question mark in Lightroom and click on 'Find the missing folder.'

    3. Locate the place where I moved the folder (for example, my office).

    4. in the folders Panel, drag the folder 2011-12-18 in the 2011 folder (which will also move this back up on my hard drive from my office to the 2011 folder).

Obviously, this is not here. For years, whenever I imported the photos in Lightroom, it created the new folders, and folders in the library panel reflects the hierarchy of folders on my hard drive.

I went again and again my settings to import to see if I've accidentally changed something, but I don't see anything out of place.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to get the Panel files from Lightroom to reflect the real hard disk after import, without having to go through all these machinations?

Thanks a lot for your help!

P.S. I use Lightroom 3.6 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 but happened for at least a few months. I hope that when I updated to 3.6, it would solve the problem, but no luck.

I just wanted to update with a solution I found by a user on Photoshop.com, in case someone reads it later and encounter the same problem:

In Lightroom (not the Finder), I did all the following:

    1 create a new folder called 2011new.

2 moved in 2011new all subfolders of 2011.

    3 remove the 2011 folder.

    4 renamed the folder 2011new 2011.

Problem solved! Now when I import in 2011 file, everything works as it should. Yay!

  • Go live - invited to provide details to create a "record."

I don't know where to post this question, so please forgive me if I chose the wrong forum.

I have a client who has an old site with their own website hosting and email hosting.

They want to continue to use their current by email once we go live with BC.

I see that in the admin of BC under "Site", I can add an MX record to point to their own mail server, but their techo all tell me their configuration is bound in the field and if Adobe now manages the DNS, then it will prevent their existing emails from work. Perform a whois on their domain that I see that their current configuration is hosted by Colo4.

So instead of configure DNS with Adobe they have asked me to provide details to create a record of their side to point to the new site of BC.

Is this possible and if so where can I find the details to provide them?

    Hello

Recording media pointing only web traffic for the domain on the site of BC.

You do not configure the areas in British Colombia to be in British Colombia.

Configure the external domain configuration and provide to the person who manages your domain name with the registration information.

The two options are explained here:

Add a domain name to your site by using an external DNS service

  • APEX 5.0 Export to CSV produces duplicate records

    Good day to you all:

I use APEX 5.0, and I have a classic report that has a total number of lines of 274.  (274 documents also in SQL Developer).  However, when I export the report to CSV, duplicate records are produced and the total number of lines increases to 365.  Has anyone already known this before bug in APEX 5.0?  I tried to reproduce the report to a type of interactive, but I get the same results when you export to CSV.  Advice or guidance would be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hey Aqua,

If you are APEX 5.0.0 or 5.0.1? And which version of the database, you are on?

There was a problem with CLOB (which are used for the download) in 5.0.0 running on specific versions of 11 GR 2. A fix is included in the 5.0.1 patch set.

  • Marking duplicate records

    Hi gurus of the Oracle,.

    Good morning/afternoon/evening!

There are several methods to effectively identify duplicate records. e.g. row_number() and group by, but all of these methods to highlight the duplicate record only. Which means that if your table has data such as

    IDNameRoomDate
    1ABC20320/07/2015
    2FGH10920/09/2015
    3HSF20220/08/2015
    4REF20120/08/2015
    5FGH10920/09/2015
    6HSF29124/08/2015

And I want to find duplicates based on name/room/day

Most of the queries will give me

    Or the other

    IDNameRoomDate
    5FGH10920/09/2015

    or

    IDNameRoomDate
    2FGH109

    20/09/2015

They don't give me two files unless I first do a group by (or Row_Number) in an internal query and then try to get the two lines in the outer query. In my view, should not be the way.

I need a report which highlights the two records only

    IDNameRoomDate
    2FGH10920/09/2015
    5FGH10920/09/2015

    Hope that is clear.

    Thanks in advance!

Help the ROW_NUMBER analytic function, that you described is probably the easiest and most effective way to get the desired results.

You can do it without using any kind of subquery (for example, with a self-join or CONNECT BY), but which requires SELECT DISTINCT, which is inefficient.

  • Load ASO duplicate records

    Hello

I'm loading data in the ASO cube directly from the text file (without using a buffer) and numbers of duplicate records are added, but I need the numbers since the last duplicate record to overwrite all previous records. Is it possible to implement in Essbase ASO?

You can use the id of the buffer. The 'aggregate_use_last' property can be set to a buffer during initialization it.

I do not belive there is an option to load the file directly using the command "Import database...". "in this situation.

    Kind regards

  • Why are there duplicate TNS in list names drop-down connection

Why are there duplicate TNS in list names drop-down connection.

Also what is the list updated, if I make an addition to my tnsnames.ora?

Probably because you have multiple tnsnames files in your directory.

Most people don't realize this, but SQL * Plus has the same behavior. If you have a. BAK copy/version, rename it with a leader 1 or something in front of the ILO "tnsnames" to the file name.
