Why mail puts e-mail in the junk e-mail folder
When in Mail preferences, I have disabled "spam filtering". Filtering is certainly nice, but I've lost several very important messages because they have been filtered as 'junk. ' I get thousands of emails and the time it takes to filter them personally is considerable but rather time aside taken through my Junk folder, I think it would be easier to simply receive all emails and take the time needed to manually filter...
How do you know that Mail is placing it there? What color are the messages and you have the option to mark as not junk?
If Mail is marking them as spam, then they are going to be coloured Brown and you will have the icon to mark them as legitimate.
It is possible that your email provider placed in the junk e-mail folder. If you use IMAP, then it will reflect it in Mail.

OK - created a new folder on my desktop for a site; created and saved an index file in there and went to work.
Now, for some reason, I think it's putting everying into a completely different places - in my "documents"...
Huh?
Probably I'm missing something about the structure of the site, but I really don't know why anything would be not just to stay where I put it.

Incorrectly includes messages in the junk e-mail folder
For several weeks now, Mail puts bad messages in the junk e-mail folder. These are messages (such as the Financial Times Morning News and others) where I have the email address in my contacts list. I don't find a way to mark the message as "not spam." I move mail in the Inbox, but the Mail does not get the indicator - not - learn and keeps putting these messages in the junk e-mail folder. (I have email addresses in my contacts list and have enabled the trust to senders in my contacts list.)
I sent my spam filtering which fixes some problems, but it is always the case.
What should do?

Unless it's grey/navy/red, your e-mail marked as spam most likely provider. All you can try to do is go to the site and see if you can find a way to adjust the filters it.

I read the instructions under Mozilla based on Firebird training and set up a junk folder - DONE!
But, while some junk goes in the folder junk e-mail, others remain in my Inbox marked as junk. Why? Is it in line, and some action is expected of me - or a flaw in the process?I don't have a real answer for you. But BT using Yahoo mail and my recent comments is Yahoo IMAP is in a world of its own when it comes to spam and marking mail as such. It moves e-mail and from the unwanted spam/e-mail folder with its own rules and that Thunderbird be damned. Oh one there is no way to turn their junk filtering.

Recently, from a month ago or so, when I open Thunderbird and it connects to my ISP to download new e-mail messages, e-mails that the Junk detector "think" might be spam, these emails are deleted immediately permanently instead of being moved to my Junk folder, as I've mentioned Thunderbird in all options on how to manage junk e-mail. I know that there have been e-mails that were sent to me for the first time by a new friend or colleague whom I have not yet put in my contacts folder. In fact, I know an e-mail in particular when someone sent me his email address in the email that comes to be obtained permanently deleted. So if anyone knows what's happening here and what I can do to stop this behavior, I'd be very grateful all assistance. This time, to monitor the activity, I connect to my e-mail through my ISP account so I can examine what is in the Inbox ready to be downloaded in Thunderbird before you start Thunderbird. It is a nuisance, but is the only way I know for the moment to monitor all my incoming mail. Thank you!
Sorry for the delay in the publication... Disable McAfee spam controls solve my problem. All incoming messages marked as spam is successfully sent to my junk e-mail folder.

Today, I went looking for records in my computer containing files larger than 300 MB. To my surprise, two records that presented themselves are in... / AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/pt66rib2.default/Mail/mail. (my server). There are 355 MB of data in the "Junk" file (which has no file extension) and 577 megabytes of data in the "Inbox" file (which has also no file extension). When I open the files in the laptop ++, I found that the data is every email that's ever been in my Inbox. (Gee, I wonder if the it Department to the IRS has never thought to check there for lack of laws Lerner emails?) For the record, I suggest all my messages in my Inbox and 'Empty junk' into the Junk folder (in the Thunderbird e-mail program) every day. Why is-all data still here? What is the fastest way to remove or erase data?

Mail puts all mail in the junk e-mail folder
Do not know how to retrieve messages to place incoming messages in the mailbox. All messages being placed in my Junk folder (yellow color). This only started happening after I installed a new helping of hard Drive.Please.
In your messaging menu, select Preferences, then go to the junk mail tab > under the "when junk mail arrives", select the "report as spam, but leave it in my Inbox." Which will allow you to have a chance to review and decide to keep it or not. You can also set the rules and add contacts to your contact list to make sure that they are not sent to junk.

empty messages appear in the junk e-mail folder
Hello
Strange empty messages are appearing in my junk e-mail folder. These messages have NO content, NO subject, NO sender and a weird date (1970). These messages are NOT from my server. If I empty my "junk" folder, they disappear, but reappear after half a day or more. They are automatically classified as spam (I also use the Junqilla plugin).
They're not a disaster, but so strange, I'm afraid they are a symptom of something worse...

Right-click on junk and select 'empty junk '.

I have a known user that I have been to send/receive email from him for many years. now, I don't get the emails sent to me. If he is using my gmail account, email is sent to thunderbird, and I see the email with gmail address in my Inbox. His e-mails addressed to my sbcglobal address are not in my Inbox, or in my junk e-mail folder. I did not block lists, but I use Spam Assassin. is there a technique to solve this problem? It is the only email address that I don't get.
Connect to your sbcglobal email by using your browser and see if they are put in a spam folder before Thunderbird never the chance to see it.

Mail Guard dumping of e-mail in the Junk folder!
I have 2 Mac running Yosemite and El Capitan and Mail preferences were set to 'Enable spam filtering' and "Leave it in my Inbox" yet junk e-mail was always put in the Junk folder and sometimes of real e-mails also went well.
Earlier today, in desperation, I've deselected "Spam filtering" but have discovered a spam in the Junk folder instead of my Inbox.
How can I me Mail start to obey my instructions?

OE downloads the messages from the server and has no capability of blocking incipient unless you set rules for such. So if you get any messages, they are likely in junk e-mail on the server (that OE does not have access to) and you must go to Webmail to access the server, then you can go to the Junk folder and find messages that you do not receive. OE has no control over the filtering server - you can adjust on the server via webmail.

If you are using OWA
Connect to the account user OWA (Outlook Web access) and found a spam orphans filter that was visible in OWA. After removing the filter from the orphan, the messages were more is blocked. I hope this helps!
