Why move to creative cloud?

I still don't understand why Adobe is forcing us to move to the creative Cloud?

All these "benefits" that Adobe has served us, is just a marketing gimmick.

Adobe said something like this: "all the most recent updates and features are immediately available for creative users Cloud" it's the new benefit? Front Creative Cloud updates did not yet exist? When Adobe release an update that I don't see why "from users of the box" also could not bring (updates) as users of creative Cloud? In both cases the user has to download the update (if he or she wants). Adobe also said something like this: "For updates of creative cloud members are available immediately" - it is discriminatory for the people who are for some reason any could not not want to buy creative cloud status, and who use 'from the box' Adobe. Why is less worthy than money who is subscribed to the creative cloud their money? When I buy a car inside and with the same engine, but in a different color that my neighbor's car, I expect to have the same car, but in different colors. Why this is not the case with Adobe? These statements are taken way to force people to register with creative cloud. I assume that CS7 (or posterior edition) will be available only for users of Cloud Creative and that Adobe will cease licensing "in the box" editions. Why Adobe won't give users the option to choose where to spend their money and what to buy and how to use it (online or offline)?

"Each Subscriber creative cloud have 20GB of storage available! Hey! How many HD images, we can store there? With external hard drives from 1 to 2 to anyone can buy for $ 100-150 Adobe offering 20 GB of storage as a better solution? What is the fastest solution: HDD service or cloud? "The files stored in the cloud are more secure than those HDD (s) of the user"? Someone at Adobe has heard for backup? I have a PC for about 20 years and do not have any single problem with HARD drive malfunction. So, Adobe, please tell us what is the REAL reason why you want us to store OUR files on YOUR servers? Anyone can share their files with who ever they want to use e-mail (for smaller files), and there are so many FREE web storage services, then why do we need pay for something that we already have for free Adobe? I use a free web storage to keep my files, then open them with Adobe software current, directly from network and HARD drive, and they will be automatically updated as soon as I save. Also I can access anywhere where I am and share them with whom I dream. So I really don't see why people are buying this marketing tip called creative cloud?

Only REAL reason to create something as creative cloud, as far as I can see it, is to stop piracy, and this is something that I truly support. But I would really like to see that such a large company stop using these discriminatory methods on their users!

I use Adobe Premiere since version 6 and After effects since the first edition so many years ago... All these years, never crossed my mind that Adobe could someday discriminatory to their users in a way!

Adobe, please offer us the opportunity to CHOOSE equal products - not the same but different products (at the same time)!

I'm not here for a lesson in trade laws. Or I don't defend Adobe.  I'm saying that an American company like Adobe, Apple or Microsoft must respect the laws of the country in which they are headquartered.   It's the same for companies whose headquarters is in France, Germany, Singapore, Russia, Japan, etc...

I was not talking about major updates. I spoke to all the updates because Adobe said that all the updates will be immediately available to users of creative Cloud (only).

I think you're confused by the differences between a regular cycle update and an upgrade of the main product.   These are two different things.

Licensed users continue to receive all updates before just like regular cycle.  And as before, they can't buy a upgrade of main product until Adobe officially releases.  Nothing has changed in this regard.   Perpetual license always users get updates as they always have.

While it is true that Cloud users do not have to wait long for the major updates, it could be argued (and I do not disagree) that cloud members are used as "beta-testers".  Some of the improvements immediately released was botched and less received successfully.  I think it's a downside to this new policy and one that Adobe needs to address in the coming months.

I also asked why all the software Adobe is not available for users of"the box"? Why can't I buy Adobe Muse without membership creative cloud?

If 'from the box' you mean a perpetual license, I don't know the answer to that.  All I can say is Muse is a relatively new product.  Maybe Adobe has not determined how or where MU joined the family of Adobe products.  It is the same for high-tech products.  You will have to ask Adobe about it.

By the way, after May 1, "box" software will be no longer available.  Adobe Creative Suite products purchased on a perpetual license will be performed by download only.

Creative Cloud users do not have the same opportunities. Adobe forcing users to move to creative cloud giving them immediate updates, more software to buy etc.

It's called incentives, and it is fundamental to good marketing.  You have something new, you want people to buy if you give them good incentives to try.  I don't have a problem with that.

    Let me tell you that I'm probably one of the many, who are searching are alternatives to our photographic requirements... and you believe me there is alternative and cheaper solutions out there and most of the plugins we photographers to use in Photoshop or Lightroom will run as independent in all cases (IE Topax Etc OneOne)... Come on guys, get your act together, at this time, this kind of performance and support is certainly not acceptable. !!!

    Currently installed Creative cloud on a Mac or a PC. I need to move program from the PC to your desktop to a new laptop computer.  I need help to do it properly.  I would be grateful with the community on this issue.

  • Why is Lightroom Creative Cloud sync on a mac so unreliable, useless and costly to fix?

    I have painful issues with Lightroom on Mac synchronization.

    1 attempt to fix

    The problems began when I found that mac LR had synchronized 21 k photos but then is is stuck on 800 newly imported photos. I followed the advice on this forum to remove the mobile data in Lightroom by Lightroom > Preferences > mobile Lightroom > delete all data. This removed all the 21 k on iOS devices and cloud photos and allowed me to start the Mac synchronization again. I selected a few collections to sync with the cloud and synchronize successfully a little less of 900 photos. They have appeared on the web and iOS devices. Large. I assumed everything was fine...

    Broken again

    On iOS, moved some pictures of a collection to a new collection and I see Change sync between on the web. BUT it has not synchronized in LR on Mac :-(

    I looked around, a little more on iOS and found that the meaning of the notes that have been defined on Mac had not arrived on iOS.

    To test things more far, I changed the name of a collection on the mac, and that change was on iOS and the web. I changed a name of the collection on iOS and it synced to the web, but not the mac LR.

    Thus, it seems that changes are from LR Mac synchronization for the web, but now, not the reverse. It is exactly in front of the issue I had previously.

    Possible cause?

    I wonder if these problems are caused by synchronization conflicts? Maybe LR on mac had not finished its sync for iOS, and that's the reason why I could not see the significance of the notes on iOS? Maybe it stops then all other data synchronization for the pictures that he feels are in conflict? To be honest, WHO KNOWS? In 2014 we are all used to most of our applications to synchronize data between the devices. For some reason, Adobe decided to we don't give users absolutely no information on incomplete synchronization or in conflict. We just sit and attend the mess when the synchronization engine to suck and we are left in the dark and forced to wear a ridiculous action of "delete all data" to try to resolve the problem. Really, re-sycning 21 k pictures takes a lot of time and download capacity and is surely avoidable in this day and age?

    Adobe, please set your synchronization engine, give users more information during synchronizations have problems and make sure that it is free and easy synchronization of pain problems. For now, I don't know what I am paying for (as I've already owned LR 5 and joined the creative cloud just for synchronization).

    Right, this seems to be sorted.

    With the support of the Adobe support team, I renamed it Sync.lrdata in library > Caches > Adobe > Lightroom > synchronized data

    This enabled LR start a new synchronization and pulled the Cloud changes.

    I found that sides of departure were still not synchronized through to iOS, so i looked and re-looked at the photos looked and this forced the significance of the notes on iOS.

    Thus, it seems that at least for now it is all working. In the future, I'll rename Sync.lrdata once again, if I hit the questions, and I hope that I will not have deleted all the data on the clouds in the future.

    Creative cloud desktop application , open the Preferences dialog box. Select the files tab and change the location of the folder that you want.

    Then try to install again.

    • Nik Plugin Suite

    on my Windows laptop.

    My laptop has:

    • 64-bit processor
    • 4 GB of Ram
    • Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family for display

    Not a power house, but the work of apps.

    I have problems with apps including 6Lightroom and Photoshop CCCC?

    If Yes, could easily go back to the apps I use now?  Should what preparations I do around my current apps where I need to go back?

    the desktop application is 32-bit.

    major programs (ps, premierie pro, busy etc.) will install 64-bit.
