Why my fan starts running in the middle of the night?

I have a macbook pro retina, and now four times my laptop fan is awake me in the middle of the night. I woke up at the hearing it next to my bed that run very hard and just turned off my computer so he can stop. Play video games that tend to run strongly, but it still does not go off and even when nothing works it lights. Why he starts without reason and how do I stop? Thank you!!

I would try to uncheck the box:

If you got less than a month ago, it is still under warranty of 90 days (I think), so take it back to the Apple Store you got OR no matter what Apple Store close to you if you bought it online.

    1. you can use the search box instead of running it. It all works the same.

2 in this case is to know how to restore/enable option run in the right side of the Start Menu:
Right click on the Start button > properties > at the top, click on Start Menu tab > click Customize > scroll to find command run, put a checkmark in the box > OK

You check Startmenu. Execution option should be there now.

  • Execute "dbms_stats.gather_table_stats in the start = > run until the peak hours = > pause = > restart from where he was arrested after the rush hour" mode.

    Guys,

Please let know us if it is possible to run dbms_stats.gather_table_stats in "start = > Execute until off-peak hours = > take a break during peak times = > restart from where he was arrested after the rush hour" mode.

I partitioned table with mammoth number of records requiring full table statistics collection once all 3 months. Stats gathering is so expensive that it takes almost 2 days to complete.  Our goal is to ensure that no SQL that runs during peak hours (15:00 to 22:00 hours) is affected by the collection of statistics. That's why we would like the stats collection to run above mode.

Ideas, suggestions would be very appreciated and I will receive with the profound esteem.

    -Bugs

Like others, I wonder why full stats are required.

You nightly stats together people with reduced mobility?

Check dba_tab_modifications for the changes made to the table, your stats every night, whether its stats are needed comes from there so if a partition has no 10% change, why you re - collect his stats for her?  There are a few other things going on behind the scenes, but close enough.  Even if you set additional stats there and kick that off, he'll simply choose the following who did not, risking several work trying to do the same thing

theres probably 10 different ways to act how you're good with plql but generate your work statistics with something like that, then open multiple windows of sqlplus and divide it into sections while you are in the collection of statistics on several pieces at the same time.    Failure could write some autonomous plsql proc that analyzes a partition that went in there and call that any amount of time passing in the partition in a loop, but you get the idea of gathering statistics on more than one partition at the same time.

  • GeForce 7350LE graphics card fan is running all the time or at certain temperatures?

I have a HP Pavilion m8147c Media Center with AMD Atlon 64 X 2 Dual Core processor 5600 + 2.80 GHz 3 GB of Ram and run these last time the parser when began to enter the mode "sleep" or something. Sometimes, there is a warning that says something like no signal DVI and one more, but still not long enough to read all this. I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. I had just installed a new game but enough course has nothing to do with that I used the system restore and backed up to a time before it was installed. At the beginning it was only when you play, but now, it happens with almost nothing running. This pc was purchased in July 2007 and I have another office but I let my wife use one and I use the other. I opened the folder and clean all the dust but noticed when I booted again that the fan does not work on the video card. I don't know if it lights at certain times or works all the time but I think that's the problem. He was about one hour and lights do not at all. Any information will be appreciated.

captna wrote: thanks again for the help, I thought it was probably the case but never bothered with graphics cards before today. Any thoughts on an upgrade for not much more money? It was a pretty good pc when I bought it, but it is old, and there should be some video cards better for the same price that would work. I'll add some memory and while I am because the grandchildren need to play their games too. Do you know where to find an upgrade that would be compatible? Yet once again, I appreciate the help.

Hello captna, here is a link for the specifications of your system. It shows that the system was delivered with a 300 Watt power supply.

There is not much better performing video cards that work with a 300 Watt power supply. Most require at least a 400 Watt power supply or greater power.

You could improve the feed and the video card, then possibly 4 new memory modules, but the cost would start to add up. On a system to make a few years about it, I don't know if this would be the way to go, or consider getting a new system.

You could simply acquire a new video of the same type card and get the system back, because there was, or even try and find a graphics card fan to replace the failed fan. It would be the least expensive option.

Your system was shipped with the memory 3 X 1 GB modules. It only supports 4 X 1 memory modules, so upgrading the memory would not help all that much. You'd probably remove the existing memory and install 4 new memory modules in order to be compatible with your system memory. It is not recommended to mix memory strips.

    Just some thoughts.

  • Portege R830-very loud fan that runs until the machine hangs.

My 3 month old R830 fan runs often and hard... and on a daily basis will remain running loudly until finally the machine hangs. .. What is very, very frustrating.

Someone told me he had something to with the security of fingerprint software... go figure!... but anyway I'm eager to find someone who has a solution.

As it is I think the machine is way over rated, because it is only an improvement of the SSD on the orginal R600, which, when it came out was the best in its class. A portable "high-end" disappointing from my point of view... and the so-called 'new' Z series looks a lot like the R600 with a SAME size SSD... so as it seems that I am stuck with this one, I'll try to find a fix for a very annoying problem.

    Hi mate

Please check the settings in the Windows 7 power management!
There you can optimize the CPU and cooling performance module this should help reduce heat dissipation and fan speed
    .
In addition I recommend upgrading the Toshiba Fingerprint Software immediately to the version V1.0.2.32 or higher. In addition, turn off the power save option of fingerprint device in Device Manager.
Device Manager->-> authentic Tec Inc AES1610-> the power management of biometric devices

Here, you will have to remove the mark next to the option called allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Disable the power saving mode will reduce the life of the battery, so you can check whether or not it helps reduce noise.

  • My fan is running all the time...

I have a Dell XPS 15.6 Windows 7 64 bit. It is about 3 weeks old. My laptop was on my firm stand and the fan came. When I opened it, it stays on. Also when I went to type there is a tone that did not previously exist. The fan stays on while it is open, but stop sometimes to when I close. Please any help, I'd be happy.

    Hello

Only way to really know if there is a problem is to check with a real computer (not the leeks and pics store
at a Best Buy or other department stores) or Support of Dell. Also ask in the Dell forums where others have
the same system for known issues.

Make sure that the vents are clear, so there is plenty of air circulation. Try using a small fan blowing through the vents
to see if the heat is excessive. Often, a cooling pad can help.

  • Satellite Pro U series: the fan starts to operate - the computer doesn't

I had this problem since the computer was new (1 year now), and it has increased. Now I can work the internet on the computer, an hour before shutting down the computer - it is too hot. If I don't use products of word or office without being online, it's OK I tried to shut down unused application, it helps a little but not a lot. What can I do?

Have you tried to clean the fans with a jet of compressed air?
Many users recommend this tool for the cleaning of the fan, and it looks like it works very well.

I think dust and debris inside the laptop to prevent fans turn properly and cooling the temperature rises and this leads to an overheating problem

But if this doesn t help get rid of the problem of overheating then the ASP may be a last resort.

  • Satellite U500-PSU9BE - fans to run all the time

    I bought a U500 - PSU9BE 10 days ago, comes with Windows 7 Home Premium.

    10 days everything was fine.
Without changing any settings, today the fan has full throttle, as usual he is sitting on my desk with plenty of ventilation around it...
After awhile, I opened the tool PC to see health + 90% of the activity of the fan and only 27% of the CPU temperature.
It off for 2 hours. Is returned and turned on. He took over fan full speed immediately at startup.
It feels like a thermal conductor who does not switch the fan to the bottom switch.

Looked at Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel settings - all together on the optimization of the battery.
    The Eco mode is activated.

What the hell happens on this machine? Al support will be more than welcome!

    Hi mate

Have you checked the parameters of module cooling in power management Windows 7-> Toshiba power saver.

Here, you can change the method of CPU cooling for maximum performance CPU, or better battery life with reduced CPU performance. If the CPU fan noise seems too strong, a setting that maximizes the battery life will also cause the CPU fan turn on less frequently.

    Hello

When I turn off my laptop the fan starts to spin then and during a night, it drains the battery from 100% to 0. I also have some problems of marketing. If the computer is in sleep mode itself or by me, I can't wake up, need button for 10 seconds and then push again and it starts. When turned on, it works perfectly but has these problems. I read somewhere that the resolution of these problems has been to remove the software intel from my computer and I did. It helped but 2 days computer started having these problems again. My system is Windows 7 64 bit. This problem started after that I have somehow left fully charged computer asleep on the charger for about 2 hours. When I came back fan was spinning and the right side of the laptop was hot. Again, battery life is great and computer has no defects during the work (all tests by dell are passed). What can you suggest me to do?

  • iMac 27 "mid-2011 hard drive failed, fan to full after the removal of HARD drive

    iMac (27 inch, mid 2011)

    2.7 Ghz i5

    12 GB of RAM

I have a fault where the HARD drive fan runs at max speed (RPM 5431, 51 * C temp).

The first symptom was a rattling noise from the factory 1 TB HARD drive, which has disappeared from the system, to be replaced by a disk of 4 GB in size. Then the fan started running at max speed.

A few months ago, I installed a 2nd drive HARD, an SSD and use this to all the data, so the 1 TB drive HARD original was basically unused and empty. To try and stop the fan and also run the disk diagnostics failed I've removed it from the iMac. However the HARD drive fan is always full.

I ran the Apple Hardware Test and received the error message: 4SNS/1/40000000: TH00 - 9,000

Given the primary SATA HDD is now removed, I also set the temperature probe? Are there other fixes to this problem of fan? I didn't intend on replacing the HARD disk immediately that this is not necessary at this stage.

    Thank you!
