Router vpn site to site PIX and vpn client
I have two on one interface on the pix vpn connections that terminate VPN. client vpn and VPN site-to-site have passed phase one and two and decrypt and encrypt the packets. However as in another post I can not ping through the l2l vpn. I checked this isn't a nat problem a nd two NAT 0 on the pix and the NAT on the router access lists work correctly.

I looked on the internet and that it points to a routing error when packets are being encrypted and decrypted, but you can't do a ping on the binding. However when I test the connection I did not enter any of the static routes that networks are connected directly on each side of the pix and the router. any help would be a preciated as I think there's maybe something is blocking the ping to reach the internal network at the end of pix with a configured access list.
is ping failure of the only thing between the site to site VPN? and assuming that all other traffic works fine since it decrypts and encrypts the packets.
If it's just ping, then activate pls what follows on the PIX:
If it is version 6.3 and below: fixup protocol icmp
If it is version 7.0 and higher: select "inspect icmp" under your political map of the world.
Config complete hand and on the other could help determine if it's a configuration problem or another problem.

Hi all
I have 2 sites connected through a VPN between 2 IOS routers.
I have also some customers switched that need to connect on the inside network via a VPN with one of the routers.
The VPN client software is enough or should I take into account the other components (for example an AAA for Xauth server)?
Someone at - it an example configuration for the router IOS?
Thank you
If you more security, you can use the aaa server:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/707/ios_usr_rad.html .
You can also perform local authentication on the router:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/ios-unity.html .

IOS router VPN Client (easy VPN) IPsec with Anyconnect
Hello
I would like to set up my router IOS IPsec VPN Client and connect with any connect.
Is it possible to configure an IPSec and SSL VPN Client on IOS router? I use for example a 1841.It would be perfect to give the user the choice of SSL or IPSec protocol. And the user needs that the Anyconnect Client.
I think it's possible with a Cisco ASA. But I can also do this with an IOS router?
Please let me know how if this is possible.
Also is it true that the IOS routers are not affected to hear bug bleed? SSL VPN and SSL VPN with Anyconnect page is also save?
http://Tools.Cisco.com/Security/Center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/CIS...
But I am in any way interested in using IPSec and SSL VPN on a router IOS...
It's true - CCP does not yet offer the options to configure a VPN IPsec with IKEv2.
The configuration guide (here) offers detailed advice and includes examples of configuration.

the site at the other tunnel is mounted, but it does not pass traffic; What is the source and destination ip on the router that you are trying to ping the address
whenever you try to open the traffic from router A to router B, you must to the source of the traffic.
for ex,.
Router A-->10.1.1.1--fa0/0
Router B - 172.168.1.100
source of ping 172.168.1.100 router # 10.1.1.1
After doing the pings, send the output of the show counterpart of its crypto ipsec

Hello
IM new Cisco VPN technology so please forgive my ignorance.
I am trying to connect my router to a comercial that support IPSec VPN provider gave me only that here the server ip, user name and password Secret.
With this information, that I can, for example, to connect with an iPhone using the monofamille in Cisco's VPN IPSec.
My question is how I put this up directly on a cisco router, or using CCP or config?
Thanks in advance for all the help/pointers

VPN client with counterpart on secondary ip address on the public interface of the router
Hello
On our office LAN, we have a Linux server than it hosting a VPN connection to a remote client.
Do this to ISAKMP card on our Cisco router port connections to the internal ip address of the Linux host.
However, we now want to allow our users to establish VPN connections to our local network using the unit of Cisco VPN Client.
Of course, this would present challenges, as the ISAKMP our router port is mapped through an internal host.
So, we tried to set up a secondary ip address on the router and VPN clients to connect to that.
What we see in our newspapers is as follows:
Phase 1 is very well established, and the VPN Client prompts the user for a user name and password.
Authentication of the phase 2 starts, but the router says it's is not to receive a proposal of hash of the client.
185 12:18:06.943 09/03/11 Sev = Info/4 IKE / 0 x 63000014
RECEIVING< isakmp="" oak="" info="" *(hash,="" notify:no_proposal_chosen)="" from="">(in this case, where x.x.x.x is the secondary ip address on the public interface)
After that, the Phase 1 SA is removed and the connection fails.
My understanding is that the Phase 2 negotiation takes place with the ip address assigned to the client in Phase 1, which suggests that the problem occurs because the client communicates with the main on the interface ip address, and no secondary ip address.
When remove us the mapping of port isakmp and the VPN client to connect to the primary ip address, everything works fine.
Question:
It is possible to establish 2 router VPN Client uses a secondary ip address?
If not, is there some way I can implement the port mapping so that it occurs, the connection comes from a specific ip address?
Garreth
Should be supported on IOS.
The command is crypto ctcp port...

VPN clients cannot access remote sites - PIX, routing problem?
I have a problem with routing to remote from our company websites when users connect via their VPN client remotely (i.e. for home workers)
Our headquarters contains a PIX 515E firewall. A number of remote sites to connect (via ADSL) to head office using IPSEC tunnels, ending the PIX.
Behind the PIX is a router 7206 with connections to the seat of LANs and connections to a number of ISDN connected remote sites. The default route on 7206 points to the PIX from traffic firewall which sits to ADSL connected remote sites through the PIX. Internal traffic for LAN and ISDN connected sites is done via the 7206.
Very good and works very well.
When a user connects remotely using their VPN client (connection is interrupted on the PIX) so that they get an IP address from the pool configured on the PIX and they can access resources located on local networks to the office with no problems.
However, the problem arises when a remote user wants access to a server located in one of the remote sites ADSL connected - it is impossible to access all these sites.
On the remote site routers, I configured the access lists to allow access from the pool of IP addresses used by the PIX. But it made no difference. I think that the problem may be the routes configured on the PIX itself, but I don't know what is necessary to solve this problem.
Does anyone have suggestions on what needs to be done to allow access to remote sites for users connected remotely via VPN?
(Note: I suggested a workaround, users can use a server on LAN headquarters as a "jump point" to connect to remote servers from there)
with pix v6, no traffic is allowed to redirect to the same interface.
for example, a remote user initiates an rdp session for one of the barns adsl. PIX decrypts the packet coming from the external interface and looks at the destination. because the destination is one of adsl sites, pix will have to return traffic to the external interface. Unfortunately, pix v6.x has a limitation that would force the pix to drop the packet.
with the v7, this restriction has been removed with the "same-security-traffic control intra-interface permits".

IPSec site to site VPN cisco VPN client routing problem and
Hello
I'm really stuck with the configuration of ipsec site to site vpn (hub to spoke, multiple rays) with cisco vpn remote client access to this vpn.
The problem is with remote access - cisco vpn client access - I can communicate with hub lan - but I need also communication of all lans speaks of the cisco vpn client.
There are on the shelves, there is no material used cisco - routers DLINK.
Someone told me that it is possible to use NAT to translate remote access IP-lan-HUB customers and thus allow communication - but I'm unable to set up and operate.
Can someone help me please?
Thank you

How the DLINK has been configured for traffic between the site to site VPN subnets? You are able to add multiple remote subnets on DLINK? If you can, then you must add the pool of Client VPN subnet.
Alternatively, if you cannot add multiple subnet on DLINK router, you can change the pool of Client VPN 192.168.6.0/24, and on the crypto ACL between the site to site VPN, you must edit the 180 existing ACL
DE:
access-list 180 allow ip 192.168.7.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
access-list 180 allow ip 192.168.200.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
TO:
access-list 180 allow ip 192.168.6.0 0.0.1.255 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
Also change the ACL 190 split tunnel:
DE:
access-list 190 allow ip 192.168.7.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.200.0 0.0.0.255
access-list 190 allow ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.200.0 0.0.0.255
TO:
access-list 190 allow ip 192.168.7.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.6.0 0.0.0.255
access-list 190 allow ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.6.0 0.0.0.255
Finally, replace the remote subnet 192.168.7.0/255.255.255.0 192.168.6.0/255.255.254.0 DLINK.
Hope that helps.

Hi, I currently have a site to site vpn upward and running and it works fine. I try to put the other two online and just cannot make them work. I used the same configuration of one operation but I cannot get the next tunnel. I saw several errors when debugging isakmp and ipsec and they are at the end of my configs. Anyone have any ideas? I think that you have configured a VPN tunnel without removing the cryptographic card of the external interface. The message above is the error we get in such situation.
I suggest the following solution:
-remove the external interface (the two pix) cryptographic card
-Cree claire isa his and trendy clear ipsec his (the two pix)
-Reapply the card encryption on external interfaces.
If this doesn't solve the problem, restart the equipment.
Kind regards

PIX - ASA, allow RA VPN clients to access servers at remote sites
I got L2L tunnels set up for a couple of remote sites (PIX) for several months now. We have a VPN concentrator, which will go EOL soon, so I'm working on moving our existing customers of RA our ASA. I have a problem, allowing RA clients access to a server to one of our remote sites. PIX and ASA (main site) relevant config is shown below. The error I get on the remote PIX when you try a ping on the VPN client is:

EDIT: Guess, I might add, remote site is 172.16.26.0/24 VLAN VPN is 172.16.200.0/24...
What you want to do is 'tunnelall', which is not split tunneling. This will still allow customers to join the main and remote site, but not allow them to access internet... unless you have expressly authorized to make a 'nat (outside)"or something. Your journey on the client will be, Secured route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0
attributes of group policy
Split-tunnel-policy tunnelall
Who is your current config, I don't see where the acl of walton is attributed to what to split tunnel?

Routing between sites that use the site to site VPN
I'm running 7.2 (1) two 515 who have a VPN site-to-site set up a bit as follows:
subnets of the main site - router main site - PIX1___Public IP's___PIX2 - remote site
The main site router: CAT6506 with engine SUP1A
Subnets listed in motor SUP:
SUB1 VLAN
IP address 180.x.1.x.255.254.0
VLAN SUB2
IP address 180.x.2.x.255.254.0
VLAN SUB3
IP address 180.x.3.x.255.254.0
VLAN SUB4
IP address 180.x.4.x.255.255.240
PIX1 is the subnet SUB4 (180.20.4.2)
Remote site subnet: 192.168.1.0/24
Route the engine by default Overtime toward another router that reached the internet via another public IP subnet.
Any host on SUB4 can reach any host on the remote site as long as the SUB4 host default gateway is the inside int PIX1 (180.20.4.2).
No matter what SUB4 host that uses the 180.20.4.1 address (router) default gateway cannot communicate with a remote host, but can communicate with any host from any subnet of the main site.
All remote hosts can communicate with any host on SUB4, regardless of the gateway of the SUB4 host address.
All remote hosts can communicate with the router on SUB4 main site, but can not reach one of the other interfaces subnet configured on the router.
I've added a static route on the SUP engine:
router IP 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 180.20.4.2
That did not help.
The uses of motor SUP EIGRP to learn other subnets main site reached through routers, so I added the remote subnet to that:
Router eigrp 10
redistribute static
network 180.20.0.0
network 192.168.1.0
No Auto-resume
No log-neighbor-changes to eigrp
No chance, no more.
I can't help thinking that I'm missing something very basic.
Any help is really appreciated
Hello
PLS, find the changes that must be made and checked.
PIX remotely:
1. you only need a default route and that you can route your subnets via inside as they are outside, so remove these statements
2.i see Access-group configured to be applied to the external interface for traffic coming from the outside, make sure that all required subnets are allowed.
3. in the access list for the corresponding traffic to cryptomap, I see that one included subnet, pls have all included traffic that must be encrypted (as sub1, sub2..)
Main PIX:
1. in the access list for the corresponding traffic to cryptomap, I see that one included subnet, pls have all included traffic that must be encrypted (as sub1, sub2..)
2. is there an 'access-group outside_access_in' access list present in the pix the corresponding traffic - check - the pls
3. by nat (inside) 0 access-list inside_nat0_outbound, include all your inside subnets that must have access to the remote subnet
L3 switch:
1.I see a default route pointing to your router 3640, so pls add a static route to your remote subnet pointing to Pix
IP route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 x.x.22.2
2. pls check in your L3 switch, wheter the appropriate subnets sub1, sub2 are learned properly via the conifugred Eigrp VLAN respective
for example .sub2 and sub3 learning with leap following 8.2, sub 5 via 30.3
Pls try to understand the topology and make configuration changes and let us know the results

VPN site-to-site between two PIX 501 with Client VPN access
Site A and site B are connected with VPN Site to Site between two PIX 501.
Also, site A is configured for remote access VPN client. If a remote client connects to Site A, it can only get access to the LAN of Site A, it cannot access anything whatsoever behind PIX on Site B.
How is that possible for a VPN client connected to Site A to Site B?
Thank you very much.
Alex
Bad and worse news:
Bad: Not running the 7.0 series PIX cannot route traffic on the same interface, the traffic is recived. Version 7.0 solves this ipsec traffic.
Even worse: PIX 501 can not be upgraded to 7.0...
A couple of things to think about would be the upgrade to hardware that can run the new IOS or allowing a VPN R.A. on site B.
HTH Please assess whether this is the case.
Thank you

SA520w routing through site-to-site VPN tunnels
I have several offices that are connected using site-to-site VPN tunnels and all will use the SA520W (firmware 2.1.18). I currently have 3 routers in place, router tunnels created for the router B and c of router. I need assistance with the configuration to allow the guests to router site B get to the router site C. I have attempted to add a static route, but get a destination unreachable host trying to ping. Also, if I connect to the router site has via the Cisco VPN client, I'm not able to get resources on each site, B, or C.
A - the site 10.10.0.0/24
Site B - 10.0.0.0/24
Site of the C - 10.25.0.0/24
Any help is greatly appreciated.
So, that's what you have configured correctly?
RTR_A
||
_____________ || ___________
|| ||
RTR_B RTR_C
Since there is no tunnel between B and C there is no way for us past that traffic through RTR_A for two reasons. The most important reason is that subnet 10.25.0.0/24 (rtr_c) is not allowed to pass through the IPSec tunnel (it's okay to IPSec?) of rtr_a ==> rtr_b. You can't just add a statement of road because your addresses are not routable which is the reason why it fails.
Your only option is to create another tunnel between rtr_b and rtr_c. This may not be the ONLY option, but you should get what you need.
I hope this helps.
