Why my file size is limited?

I bought this program to convert a short novel for children in pdf format. and now they tell me its too big... Boo. whistling.

not happy.

Acrobat.com online conversion services are limited to 100 MB each.

If you need to convert large documents, you need Acrobat.  You can download the fully functional 30-day Acrobat Pro XI of https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html trial

  • Why my file size results do not match between Photoshop and on my computer?

I found something intriguing in CC PSD that I hope someone can explain to me.  I'm actually creating photo resizing tutorial and when I opened the picture in PSD I got these dimensions:

    info-1.jpg

But when the picture is turned on in Windows the size indicates a completely different size:

    info-2.jpg

I have advanced and resized the picture in PSD to 250 x 336 and reopened in PSD, it shows the size of the file to be 246K but in Windows and when clicked, it shows 130K so I don't know who is right now because they do not correspond to the top.

If anyone has experienced this before?  Should I change something so that they match?  Please advise - thanks.

I'm trying to demonstrate the importance of WHY you should not upload a photo which is 19 MB size

Yes, we can all agree on that. But note that even if the pixel dimensions are reduced to an appropriate size (800-1200 pixels or so), the file size can always be a problem because of things like the metadata.

So for use web, you should always use the new export function or save for Web in Photoshop. These will remove the metadata and also allow you to optimize the compression level so that you can arrive at a reasonable file size, for the given pixel size.

  • Why the file size does not change when I use "Process multiple Images" to add a watermark?

    Hello

I use 11 elements. To add a watermark to a lot of JPG photos at the same time, I use the function 'process multiple files.

I select a source folder and a destination folder and adds a number to three numbers for each file. I do NOT check the box marked 'change photo size. After that, I set the watermark I want printed on my photos and hit OK. All files in the source folder are processed and saved with a new name in the destination folder. Loyally.

But. The file size of the new file is strongly reduced, compared to the original. He's going from 10 MB to 500 KB (in general). Why is this? Is there a way I can help?

    Kind regards

    / Mikael Lindgren

File size reduction is the effect of jpeg compression. In the process several files dialog, check the bottom option "convert files to the format" and choose "jpeg max quality.

  • Why the file size is reduced when the visibility of the layer is hidden?

With the same PSD file, I have hidden the visibility layer and recorded another copy, and I noticed that the file size is significantly reduced.

    Anyone know why?

    Thank you

When you maximize the verified compatibility, Photoshop records a version flattened your file in the psd. When you hide the layers and save, of course, the flattened version will consist of your file psd with these missing layers. If these layers had a lot of additional information, as opposed to simply a lot of white space or easily compressible full areas, then you will see a difference in file size.

  • File size/page # limits

Hi all, using TCS2 on Windox 7 64-bit.

Everyone knows the limits of size of file with this product? I'm a link (by reference) a book of FM 1200 + (and growing) composed of many chapters, etc.. And I find that HR is slower and slower every time that I update (which is normal I guess). However, it also seems to be crumbly (more prone to random crashing) Gets the biggest of my book of FM.

A what anyone here found that after a certain number of pages or the size of the file, this process simply doesn't work anymore? I want to know rather than later, that the tool will not scale with my projects.

    Thank you

Yes, provided that you have enough power that you garden for updates, files, and program will keep blowing.

  • Why the file size increases when cropping in Photoshop CC?

While cropping a picture significantly increases the size of the file.

7360 X 4912 px image (Image size: 103, 4 M) after cropping at 60 X 40 cm 300 px, dates back to a 18000 X 12000 px image (Image size: 618,0 M). And the computer is unable to cope with such a file...

It wasn't like that when I started to use the program.

I crop the image even with CS5 and the result is a picture of px 7087 X 4724 (Image size: 95.8 M) which is normal...

  • Why the same photo's file size different in Photos and in the Finder?

I have a photo size 4608 x 3456. When I open the file information in the Apple's Photos app, it says that the file is 7.8 MB. When I open the same photo in the Finder and look at the news file, it is said that it is 3.1 MB on the disk. Why does this happen? All other metadata is the same in the pictures, Finder, Lightroom or Photoshop, but I can't understand why the file size seems to have changed since I dragged photo pictures to the Finder.

    Thank you.

How you view the photo in the finder (you shouldn't be messing around inside the photo library)?

If you export or drag / drop you create a new file with a different compression - using export allows you to control what

  • Why the change in file size is not a difference in how I can put on a cd?

I'm trying to burn audio files to a disc that will play in a cd player.  The size of the files is not that big.  If I just dropped everything on the disk in the form of data files, they would be easily fits on the drive with plenty of room to spare.  BUT when I go through Windows Media Player or I-Tunes to make the drive, it takes 5 discs to fit everything on.  I changed the WMA files into MP3 files, but it remains the same.  Then, I used Windows Media Player to convert the files to a file size reduced.  But it seems not to matter.  There are still 5 discs.

There is obviously something that I don't understand the difference in burning data instead of audio files and the size of the file.  I'd appreciate any help I could get.  Thank you!

If you notice on your empty CD there are two limitations...
for example I have one here that says... 80 MIN / 700 MB...
(this means time 'or' file size... not both)

If you create a... Audio / music CD... (one that will play in)
most CD players)... the limits are dictated by the duration.
If you see the directory on an Audio CD / music you will be
Notice the files have extensions of the ADC (this is the result
regardless of the format of the source files).

If you create a data CD... for example a MP3 cd which will be
play in a player compatible with MP3 files... the limits
are dictated by the size of the file.

Then you have a player that is MP3... you could
create a data CD with a lot of files unlike Audio
CD and strictly limited by the total duration of the files.

The following article might be worth the drive... it offers information
on the creation of data and Audio CD.

  • Why comments in the Details pane reduce a 30 MB tiff file size to 10 MB?

I have a scan, which is a TIFF about 30 MB and I wrote a comment in the details pane to this topic.  When I saved the comment a window pops up with a message "Application of the properties as a reference" and then the file size has dropped to about two-thirds around 10 MB.

What Vista did to my file?  And why?

It's my pleasure - glad I could help him.  It is very interesting to transfer the file of 23 MB to Photoshop in Photoshop showing the original 86MB (which suggests that nothing actually happened to the file - it is just how Vista reports its size that seems to be wrong).  Maybe you've found a bug in the system - it wouldn't be the first.  It seems to me that you must ignore Vista file size reporting and information from Photoshop or any other programs that you use to work with images and TIFF files (not exactly the best location, but perhaps the only one available).

If you want to pursue this, I would say the pictures and video Forum at: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistapictures/threads where people who specialize in issues of picture will be more than happy to help you with your concerns.

    Hi dream,

For a load of 30 MB to succeed the phone, he'll need 30 MB successfully create the PUBLICATION on the server information, it is then the main cause of the "OutOfMemory" error, the problem behind this error is that the "Ras" on Http/sConnection command deletes not really the send buffer file Info. So independently using pieces of 1 KB or 1 MB buffer memory is still going to fill and eventually cause an OutOfMemory exception. One of the two way around this is to split the file into smaller files; Send to each of them through his OWN POST and then rebuild Server; A nice way to fix this is to divide the file in archive zip/rar/segments and then simply "extract" the new server-side.

If you are interested by this unfortunately and costly route, you can find the article relevant here this article refers to the download instead of download, but the same logic applies.

The second option is to use a datagram Socket connection / (rinse them properly) and get them to do the HTTP traffic for you.

  • Why using the typewriter in acrobat 9 adds less file size that the use of the text of the comment in acrobat 11 tool?

Why using the typewriter in acrobat 9 adds less file size that the use of the text of the comment in acrobat 11 tool?

Two employees, one using acrobat 9 and the other uses acrobat 11. The two employees open a secure document one page 105 KB in size. Used using acrobat 9 using the typewriter tool to add comments. Document increases in volume to 137 kb. Second employee using acrobat 11 uses the comment add the text tool (since it is no longer a typewriter tool). This employee has to use tool once and the document immediately increases size of 105 k to 950 + kb. Why is this? What can be done to avoid this?

As I suspected much earlier, the difference is in the fonts that are used for the text. For the smaller file, text annotation font is Times Roman. that is a policy that is essentially built into Acrobat/Reader. For the larger file, the font is Tahoma, which is not an integrated police force, which ends by happens so the entire police gets embedded in the PDF file. The size of this font on disk file is 681KO on my system (Mac), and it ends up taking more space when they are embedded in the PDF file. The same type of thing happens with form fields and this is done so that all characters in the font are available when the text is changed in a system that may not have the installed font.

One of the problems is if you try to reduce the size of the file by changing the font that used up one of the built-in ones (Courier, Helvetica, TImes Roman), Acrobat does not remove the now unused of the file font information, if you do not get the reduction in file size that you can imagine, even if the font is no longer presented as being incorporated. I submitted this as a bug some time ago, but it has not been fixed.

  • Why can't I reduce the file size of virtual disk?

Workstation help 8.0.4, why is the file size of virtual disk for my more bigger than the amount of space used within the instance instance?

The instance (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit) HARD drive is 40 GB... He is currently using 28.6 GB of this space.

But the hard for instance file is 34.5 GB size - it is more than 20% larger.

I defragmented the drive on the instance.

I defragmented and compacted file hard (via the 'vmware-vdiskmanager' command line utility)

    I defragmented the host drive.

Any not really - I'm just curious as to why I can't get it down to a smaller size (mainly to speed up backups)

Narrowing of a virtual disk is done in two steps. Unused disk space must first be cancelled in the comments, what OS, then blocks not null the hard are copied to a new file hard. With VMware Workstation 8, you can start this process in the VMware Tools window (right-click the icon in the system tray)

  • Why the reduction in file size drastic in cropped images?

I cropped just a picture of 9 MB a very SMALL amount and the resulting image was 756 KB. Why? Is this normal?

What are the dimensions in pixels before and after cropping? The file size is normally determined when you export a copy of the cropped image. It will depend on the settings you choose in the dialog box export for example image size, resolution and jpeg quality unless you export as PSD or by another file format which normally have larger files. In summary, that the file size is not that important as long as the image meets the requirements of your destination ex a picture with a resolution of 72 DPI to average quality compression will be fine for use on sites and blogs while you would need a resolution of 240-300 PPI and of high quality if you were doing an impression.

  • Why the JPG file size decreases when Lightroom writes meta data?

Lightroom uses the files sidecar XMP for meta data history for RAW files. When writing the metadata (e.g. tags) to JPG files, they are written directly in the header of the file. This should leave the image information in the file intact. However, the file size decreases (about 0.02 MB) when Lightroom writes metadata for the original JPG file. As far as I could see, the image information remain unchanged and no other information in the header is deleated, but why decreases the size of the file then (I expect to increase slightly or stay the same)? I work with RAW files for most but sometimes I just versions of the files to work with JPG and I don't want to lose any information.
