• Windows 7 network icon systems do not show popup connections

  Normally, when you simply right click on the Windows 7 network icon in the system tray, it opens a window showing your connections and available all other connections. Now however, after using the laptop for several hours, and after that unlocks a few Office and a resumption of the mode standby, this no longer works. I click and nothing happens. The only way I can access this is right-click on the icon, open the network and sharing Center then click on "connect or disconnect." It is a pain I need to connect/disconnect continuously different VPN.

  If I re-boot it starts working again. I can't find the exact scenario to make, work stoppage, but it happens regularly.

  Hope there is a fix for this.

  I have a Dell 2 GB of Ram and XP PC with the latest service packs and updates. No apparent reason, I had a little difficulty with the installation but after only two tests, but I the WMP110 to properly install and connect to my wireless connection. I use a D - Link Wireless Router N DIR-615 and my other wireless devices are running smooth.

  My problem is that my wireless connection will not go to the internet and I tried to use the Linksys monitor, but also Windows network utilities to check the problem and run the wireless but not connect me. The Web page tries to load, but then ends with the screen 'diagnose connection '.

  Thank you for your interest in Klatch - I got it working well. As the biggest computer frustration usually boils down to a few clicks. For those who have the same problem, here is what has held back me.

  Until I'm able to get a connection I had to find some time to figure out how. Until I went in: WIFI - right click on the wireless connection, and then select PROPERTIES - click on the tab that says WIRELESS NETWORK -, PROPERTY - and then, AUTHENTICATION - once you see a checkbox indicating "authentication enable 802. 1 x for this computer"- UNCHECK this box. You will be able to connect to the wireless network.

  Then, my next problem and the reason for this post was that my network is connected, but I could not display web pages. This solution is buried in the manual on the CD itself. To resolve this issue, you must go into the DEVICE MANAGER to view the Linksys WMP110 under network adapters. Click on in the driver, then go to the ADVANCED tab. Here, you will see a list. You will need to click on the NETWORK TYPE. You should see two types of networks that you can select. The default value for mine was INFRASTRUCTURE. I had deselect this and select AD-HOC instead. My web pages now appear quickly, and I can browse the internet with wireless only!

  My setup is a N D - Link DIR-615 wireless router. I run Windows XP Home Edition on a Dell system. My type of security is WEP.

• Why Firefox 29.0.1 does not show a footer

  I recently installed Firefox 29.0.1 on a XP system and have carefully examined all the parameters. I downloaded a few personas. It seems appropriate to make all web sites. However, I fear that I can miss something - the footer. Documentation on creating personas shows that they are composed of a header image and a thin footer image. I have a character that is applied at the moment, but see only its header and not his foot. I get the same result if I switch to the Blue theme by default. It does not matter if the window is maximized. The scrolling box for any Web site extends to the bottom of my screen is zoomed in, or otherwise, to the lower part of the drop-down box of the window.

  My main concern is not aesthetic, but I can miss some features. I saw an example of an image in the footer on the page that documents the creation of personas. The footer displayed in the image has an icon of small Fox with an arrow drop-down list at one end and an "x" next to each other. I assume that the icon and the arrow could provide some sort of feature, or that useful information can sometimes appear in the footer. Can you tell me if I should see a footer and if so, what could prevent its display?

  In Firefox 29, bar the module have been regrouped in the main navigation bar, so it is normal not to have this bar at the bottom of the window. There are a few extensions that can restore the bar, but unless you're missing it (or some of your extensions require it), then you may not be no need to do anything.

• Name of network problems; numbers and not showing in the wireless network ID

  In my network and sharing on the map at the top of the page Center, my wireless network is identified as Queensgate 2 on my Pavilion Entertainment PC (Vista). On my g7 series Pavilion, it is identified as Queensgate 3 (Windows 7). In the zone just below the map on two machines, the network is identified as Queensgate. Queensgate is the correct ID. There are no numbers on my SSID wireless router.

  When I connect to the network dialog box confirms the connection to Queensgate (no numbers).

  Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

  Hi Frank,.

  I think I misunderstood what you rename, but seeing your description of what you have changed in Vista, I think I know what you need to do in Windows 7.

  Open the network and sharing Center.  Look at the icon in the middle of the network map - you should see the icon itself below the network card and to the left.  Click on this icon and you should be able to change the name of the network.  Click Ok after you change it and you should see the change immediately reflected in the network map.

• Why the icloud - pc - calendar does not show subscribed calendars

  I use iCal on my iPad and iPhone and a link to the iCloud calendar via iCloud for windows on my PC (win10).  All manual calendars sync smoothly between different devices, but calendars subscribed, I've implemented on the iPad now appear on the PC.  Is there a setting somewhere hidden to allow that, or is it something that the PC version by iCloud does not support?
