It is most likely a hardware problem, not a Windows. The main suspects are overheating, power problems and bad RAM memory.

  • Why my Windows Firewall keep turn off briefly?

I just launched a recovery on Pavilion Media Center TV m7470n desktop my father, which has restored XP Media Edition 2005 SP2. I then installed SP3 and use Windows Update to get the latest updates. The system now works fine, but from time to time, I get a popup notification that says that the Windows Firewall is disabled. The popup balloon quickly and when I enter the Security Center Windows Firewall appears as on. I did a full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and I also tried Trend Micro HouseCall and RootkitBuster. None of the scans showed no threat, but I'm still uncomfortable with the ball of myesterious to appear several times a day. Someone saw?

Now, I think the HP software that updates the computer was responsible. I tried to get the updates by running the software myself, but he says there is no update available. • Why security essientials keep turn off windows Defender. ?

Why essential security keep turn off windows Defender?

    Hello

Windows Defender features are included in MSE, defender of loading would be redundant.

    Windows Defender antispyware =

    MSE is antivirus + antispyware.

Then think about MSE as Windows Defender with more added (which is).

    ===========================================

Here's what I use and recommend:

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with everything I threw at them.
Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven very reliable and compatible.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except away from Standard, Web and network is working.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(Sometimes you have to temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom right of IE)

Avast - stop home - free - all shields you do no need except leave Standard, Web and network running.
(Double-click the blue icon - details look OK. - upper left Shields - those that you do not cancel).
    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - Home - small, fast, exceptional CLOUD free protection, working with other security programs. It comes
a scan only, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something to come back here or use Google to see how to remove.
    http://www.prevx.com/   <-->
    http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp  <-->

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever suspect malware, and that would be unusual with
Avast and Prevx running except a low occasional (not much), updated cookie and then run it as
a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

  • Wireless connection keeps turning off when Asus A54C off

Hi, I just bought a 2nd hand laptop. I can't work on why the wireless capability will not stay connected all the time. Whenever I put it to sleep, restart, or stop it disconnects and I must manually reconnect the wireless every time I shoot under.

I adjusted all the settings of power, more I went to the Manager of devices and networks and unchecked the box where it says something about shut down to save power.

Troubleshooting indicates that the wireless feature is not enabled when I fix it manually each time

    Any suggestions?

Uninstalling the Wireless Console 3 software does the trick.

  • Satellite A200 keeps turning off

    Hi people.
I too have a satellite A200. It is about 2 years old and keeps the decommissioning. Sometimes it turns off if physically moved - for example from a tower in a table. Sometimes it connects again once you put it in hibernation/standby mode by quickly pressing the power button. When I try and start it again in another quick, press the power button, nothing happens about half the time. In this situation when the laptop is in mode 'sleep' the only way to switch is again by removing the battery and then start again. Then it comes up with an error message about an improper closing of windows, giving you the possibility of opening in Mode safe. You lose nothing as you work, so it's a real pain.

It disappeared twice for repair, but they can't find the problem so I did a Google search and found this forum. It would be good to know more than all expertise - especially to Toshiba.

If the laptop turns off automatically, then this can be linked to a higher temperature in most cases but not always, this is the reason.
Dust or debris clogged the ventilation openings, which leads to a higher temperature.

In addition, the dry thermal grease which is placed between the CPU and the cooling module can be that the reason for this in such a case, the thermal paste should be renewed

It's certainly a job for a technician for laptop

  • Computer laptop itself keeps turning off

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me if they have experienced the same problem.
My laptop has recently started to fade, it is connected to the network so I don't think it would be the battery, but when it turns off, it shows that the light orange low battery, is it the battery or is it something to do with the laptop itself?

    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Jo,.

The usual cause of sudden power thresholds is overheating. It's chacterised of the laptop just lose all power with little warning (other than the cooling fans running at full speed). This can be corrected easily enough by sucking just any dust or debris on the aspiration air grilles with a vacuum hose.

If the laptop goes off in a more controlled manner, then this could be a fault in the electronics of power supply which causes the cell to run on battery, even if the AC adapter is plugged in. In this case, the problem may reside with the AC adapter itself, with the connecting cable, or with the plug located on the back of the laptop.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Sounds like hardware, so you should seek the help of a real computer (not the leeks and pics store
at a Best Buy or other department stores) or system manufacturer support.

If a PC unplug ALL and then reinstall the cards memory and cables (at both ends) - in fact
delete and replace - do not just tight. Clean the dust bunnies and ensure that fans
    and the vents are clean.

Good luck its associated heat so try adding a small fan blowing through the vents to see if that helps.
Not all heat problems can be solved by adding a fan, but if it helps at least a

  • Wireless WAN card keeps turning off F5521GW

    Hello

Yesterday I installed F5521GW modem in my x220t and after downloading the drivers found on the forum, it worked fine.

So I decided to do the automatic update, it finds some drivers associated with WWAN adapter (GPS, "Lenovo Mobile Access" and I guess that little bit more) and now I'm stuck to as minutes (three?) of the internet, and after that WAN wireless radio turns off, just like a unused WiFi card. It happens every time, when the connection is made and is obviously used too.

I turned off "Disable mobile radio when you are offline" about access, also what card WAN goes off when you use the login, it crashes. I am connect using the Windows network and sharing Center, 'Broadband Mobile' application leads me only to a kind of activation (but I have a job... active service) and nothing more and 'Mobile access Lenovo' gives me a registration page, I guess for a kind of marked Lenovo internet service provider, as well as some icon saying that no mobile broadband is detected

How to get rid of this auto card WAN? It was working fine until I decided to do an update...

Partially replying to myself, but I solved my problem: I have disabled automatic shutdown of the wireless card... And it applies to WWAN too

  • Memory card blackBerry Smartphones keeps turning off my blackberry...

my memory card was functioning normally (SanDisk) until yesterday when it started to turn off my bb and any other bb when I place in them... I don't want to lose the my data plz help!

I even used memory card reader nd itt ddnt work...

    Hello

To diagnose correctly, follow these steps:

    (1) Insert your card in identical property and known (as it is 100% certain that he can read a card BB) BB... see what happens.

    (2) insert a well-known (as it is already formatted to and useful in a same BB) media in your BB card... see what happens.

You already point is just 1... According to me but point 2 will give the final decision as to whether it's your card or your BB that went wrong. From what you say, it looks like your press card.

It also seems that you already have the next thing... using a card on a PC reader. Therefore, it is likely that all is already lost. You can try various recovery tools, but those who are usually much less success with memory devices traditional FLASH with magnetic disk drives.

As with all things in the category "backup", it's a good idea to copy your media to your PC card whenever attach you it. Of course, it is something that must be done before the problem arises.

    Good luck!
