  You can use a virtual Home button. To enable it, go to settings > general > accessibility and scroll down until you see AssistiveTouch *. You want that lights up.

• El Captain: Share buttons doesn't work anymore - the system-wide

  No longer share with Mail, Message, Airdrop, Notes

  When I installed El Captain (now 10.11.5) everything went well.

  Recently, I noticed the very appreciated share button would not work more.

  Symptoms:

  • Click on for example share with text or E-mail would be 1. does not bring the result 2. make the old window devoid (window in safari). Only closing the entire application restores.
  • checked with other applications: Notes, Safari, Mail, etc. Finder - they show the same problem

  Tried solution

  • find any suggestion in the forum Share button stop works OS X El Capitan and I tried option 1:
    • No cure
    • Even worse: now the share links to Notes and messages and others disappeared!! And even displayed more when you click on the more button! A new bunch of undesirable social media stuff populated this list instead.
      • How do I get back them
      • How to take these unwanted items in the list

  Now clueless. Someone else has the same problem?

• CS5 Pathfinder - 'Break down' button doesn't work anymore?

  Hi folks!

  Hey, I noticed since I upgraded to Illustrator CS5 that 'Development' button in the pathfinder dialog box is no longer becomes "activated" when I click on any of the Pathfinder icon functions.

  Someone knows why?

  For example: if I have two overlapping selected and click on the button/icon "welding" within Pathfinder - the two paths automatically welded together, without having to click the "Expand" button as I did in Illustrator CS3.  This is true for all Pathfinder function icons in the dialog box.

  Can someone explain the 'change' for me?

  Also - if the 'Expand' button becomes ever 'active/clickable'... so why even contain it more?

  They changed this in CS4. Now, if you hold down the "ALT" key when you click a shape mode, they have not automatically expand (you used to hold down 'ALT' pressed when using modes of the form to automatically extend without having to go through the 'Expand' button). They changed, I presume, because most of the people still stretch this forms. But there are times you want to use the methods of the form, but not simplify the paths. Now this by organizing 'ALT' when clicking a mode of the form and the button of 'Development' is there so that if you need later develop, you can.

  In firefox, 28 and all versions before that when I had Windows High Contrast active firefox would also be in high contrast. This would make black Web pages and all the text would become white. Because of my disability which makes it much easier for me to see and walk through it. Since firefox 29 and the introduction of the Australia theme but it seems like a high contrast in windows is no longer supported by firefox. That's why I went down to firefox 28 in order to be able to navigate as I used to.

  There is a hidden value that needs to be modified in two places:

  Go to Options > content > fonts look and colours, click on 'Advanced' > uncheck allow sites to choose the fonts and colors
  AND
  Click on ok and the color... on the content page > uncheck the allow pages choose own colors other than above. Make sure that the background is black and white choice policies.

  Under windows if you have high contrast mode, please also try "use system colors".

• On all websites, buttons at the top don't work, such as the sign in and sign buttons. Also the scroll up button doesn't work. I click on the scroll bar to move upward. I just upgraded to Firefox 901 and it does not solve the issue.

  If a button is in the top 24 mm of a web page, it does not. This includes the scroll bar. If one button operation below that is introduced in this area, it stops working. The dead zone is across the entire screen. I've upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1 and it did not fix the problem. Think that question may have started after I installed a program called Babylon and it installs a browser bar. Deleted the program and the bar of the browser, but did not affect the dead zone.

  Selection of several photos at once enter "9" to reject all still works them for me in Aperture 3.6 on El Capitan.

  Have you tested, if the problem occurs only in an Aperture library or libraries opening?

  Create a new Aperture library to test and see rejection, so it works.

  If it does not work in a new library either, I got trash Aperture preferences.

  In preferences file is now in the container folder in the user's library.

  Try this:

  • Leave the opening runs.
  • Then open your user library and delete the folder complete ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/
  • and the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist file

  Your user library can still be hidden. To reveal the hidden user library:

  • Bring the Finder to the front by clicking on the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
  • Select your folder user/home (with the House icon in the side bar of the Finder)
  • With this window in the Finder in the front window, press the ⌘J key combination to bring up the display options.
  • In the view options panel allow you to "show the library folder. That will make your visible user library folder in your folder.
  • Open your folder, then the library folder, then the containers.
  • Move the entire folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture on your desktop. Move the entire folder, not just the content.
  • Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist as well.

  Now, restart the Mac, start Aperture and try see your book.  If all goes well, delete the folder on the desktop.
