  The short version: my screen is spazzy.

  The long version: welp. It flashes like a strobe between two 'parts' as I call them. Part A is what I'm supposed to be viewing (browser, screen, scanner, antivirus, etc.) and part B being one of several things. The blue and black lines vertical, multicolored stripes, my desktop background. And it just flashes back. Sometimes when I move my mouse over the flashing area it goes back to what ever it is supposed to be (instead of my background OR task bar, it's just my taskbar) and, so, sometimes not. Sometimes, compounding the problem.

  It's driving me crazy.

  And not only it is completely in the path, it slows down my computer by my college courses online a pain in the thigh.

  I ran Webroot SecureAnywhere, CCleaner and Defraggler. All to nothing does not.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll even write a paragraph full dripping with disdain, if it's something stupid.

  I am building a science fiction movie and I've filmed in DV NTSC with a strobe light. The movie is great, but as soon as I get it in any AE project, he rereads without strobe light.   This looks like a question related to the field.  If the flash of the strobe was very quick, he can actually only be captured fields (rather than frames) of your images.

  If After Effects has interpreted your images as being interlaced (presumably lower field first for NTSC DV) then you will never see a single field of each image during previews.  When you return the product as interlaced, you see all the fields again in your render files.

  A quick way to test: in the project window, select one of the clips of delinquency and temporarily disable the interpretation of field.  Then RAM Preview this video in full resolution at 100% of the size of its place in the timeline.  You now see the strobing?

  3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
  4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  It looks like the LED light on the USB. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it if Windows 7 says its safe to remove the device. Make sure that there are no files or programs still in use on the USB.
