  Firefox fits Windows themes 'High contrast' differently from other browsers. You can switch to always using styles page, if you wish, even with a high contrast theme. You'd do that here:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content

  Click colors, and then change the 'ignore colors specified on the page with my selections above' menu drop down to never and OK outside. Pages should appear by using the styles specified by the site.

  Serial number could not be visible to the public.  It would be inside the main box somewhere.  You may be able to find the serial number in your online account.

  The behavior is the same in Acrobat 11 as well. The thumbnails do not get updated until you close the document and reopen it.

  In short, it seems to me that a single instance of your class will be able to coordinate actions across your entire application. If a singleton should be sufficient.

  But who doesn't answer why he expected prefer a singleton instead of a bunch of static methods. Functionally, the two are almost identical. In both cases, there is that a single 'thing' to call methods - either a single instance of the class or the class itself.

  To answer the question, the main reason to use a Singleton on a class of static methods is the same reason readers much of not static vs static decisions: polymorphism.

  If you use a Singleton (and and interface), you can do something like this:

  KeyboardInput kbi = get_some_instance_of_some_class_that_implements_KeyboardInput_somehow_maybe_from_a_factory();
  

  And then everything calling public methods of KBI has to know that there an implementor of this interface, without worrying about what concrete class is, and you can replace some implementation is appropriate in a given context. If you do not need to do, then the approach of the static method is probably enough.

  There are other reasons that may suggest a Singleton - serialization, persistence, use as a JavaBean pop to mind - but they are less frequent and less convincing in my experience.

  And finally, if this thing keeps updated a State between method calls, even if you can manage it with static member variables, it is more in line with the OO paradigm to make them non-static fields of an instance of this class.

• Receptive width and height does not not on the boxes?

  For some time, I used boxes with color superimposed on a picture fill to have some kind of hover effect.

  Now with the new sensitive update I photos resize in height and width.

  It is not possible on the boxes. There is only the possibility to resize the width.

  So if I reduce the browserwidh the image gets smaller and the box only shrinks in width.

  Does anyone have an idea, how I can have the effect now?

  There is a simple solution: use spaces for images for this:

  Place an image, double-click it and remove the image in the frame. You now have an image placeholder, which behaves like a "normal" image If fill you it with a color of your choice, you have, what you are looking for.

  Normally when you install Firefox this feature is enabled by default. You can check the status in the Options dialog box:

  the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > Security tab

  In the second section, there is a checkbox for "Remember passwords for sites". These articles have more information:

  • Password Manager - don't forget, delete, modify and import passwords saved in Firefox
  • Use a master password to protect stored passwords and logins

  Now... some websites add code to the fields on their forms to block the AutoComplete (which blocks also save connections), so that you can find some sites where Firefox will not save the password for this reason. It may be some workaround solutions, we discussed several times for Yahoo! mail, for example, but since they are long to describe, please post if the problem is specific to the site and provide if possible a link to the login form.

  Windows 7: search does not find the files that should be. I have indexed directory and *.php included on the list of extensions, but search can't find files for Word searches that I know there are files with these words in them.

  If you're frustrated by research (aka Desktop Search), you are not alone. Click the Start button and type find and click the button 'change the way Windows search'. Now click on the Advanced button and select the tab file types scroll down and find your type of file (in your case .php) and make sure the radio button "index properties and the content of the file" is selected for the file type.

  Out the form by clicking on the OK button, but do not close the form when you click the Advanced button.

  Then, you may need to change the indexing locations. If the folder where your files are located is not known for indexing search, then search is not even bother looking for here (a source of frustration for many users). Maybe your files are located on another drive or partition without the knowledge of the indexing engine. Using the options icon and select/deselect expand, make sure that at least the files of interest are included for the indexed locations. I hope this helps.
