Hello

You must refer in SafeMode with network. If the Internet works fine in safe mode with networking, I suspect that there is a third-party software conflict causing the issue to occur, therefore, I suggest you put your computer in a clean start State and check if the problem persists.

Note: Follow step 7 to your computer as usual.

  • Can you still work when the internet goes down?

Because the internet service in this country is not reliable enough, it will be difficult to get the work done when internet is down? Where I live, high-speed internet is not yet available, so I even will be able to use Photoshop at all? Should I just found another application?

Your desktop creative cloud (like Photoshop and Illustrator) applications are installed directly on your computer, so you won't need a continuous Internet connection to use on a daily basis.

  • My internet service is intermittent via cable and wifi, but in home wifi works fine.  How do I know if its my time or my ISP capsule?

How do I know if my Time Capsule causing my intermittent internet service or if it is my ISP?

If you have not replaced the Ethernet cable to the modem for several years, it would be a good time to do this.

Connect your computer directly to the modem for a few days and check the connection from time to time. If the Internet connection dropped during one of your checks, then the question is either a modem which is upward or there may be a problem in the wiring that provides the Internet connection to the modem.

If the modem is older than 3 years, now would be a good time to replace the product.

If the modem is not that old, then make an appointment to have a technician from your Internet service Provider to get out and check the wiring all the way from the outside of your House to the modem.

If you find that Internet connection has not abandoned while your computer is connected directly to the modem for a few days, then it's time to start the troubleshooting time Capsule.  Post back at that time.

  • Help: E INTERNET EXPLORING down

I have a Compaq Presario V2000, which was made in 2004 and there is never any problem with this laptop. Now all of a sudden when I connect to E Internet Explorer it gives me an error message that indicates that internet Explorer cannot display this webpage. The network is fine and all the other computers and portable home work properly. I did a diagnostic and it says could not connect using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP and it can be cause by a firewall setting. He also says check HTTP port (80) port (443) HTTPS and FTP port (21), "you may need to contact the manufacturer or your ISP (ISP).

What I thought I did that, but is not certain that it was correct. Also, I can't access my Norton AntiVirus from Symantec but another everthing works fine on my laptop.

In addition, I tried a system restore to an earlier date and it wouldn't let me do. Someone has any ideas whats going on or how it fine?

Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

I took a few suggestion and went to microsoft on another computer for their help and care. They had run me a cmd and the internet worked, but something was blocking it. Then they did some stuff in safe mode. Then the tech himself tapped into the computer and deleted and delete some things but also uninstalled Norton. Norton was not the problem but explain its good but slows down the laptop, taking up half the space of the computer. We installed the care program a microsoft that does everything, including defragmentation, antivirus, backup, and speeds up the computer. What ever viruses and programs that has blocked the internet have been cleared out, plus they got the laptop to work better than when it has been brought to 5 years and performance as the current models. OneCare is, in my opinion the best anti-virus I've had yet. A few Notes explained to me: One Care and McAfee are the best programs out and don't take up space on your computer but, One Care has a 90-day free trail. Two, if you have microsoft products on your computer/laptop microsoft offers free support to solve the problems and the computer, but the problem must be associate microsoft, then if not its hp/compaq or other microsoft programs they charge. Thanks for all the help, support and ideas that they helped. Thank you.

  • Internet falls down for 5-10 minutes several times a day.

Several times each day, the internet on my computer stop abruptly running for a few minutes.  The tabs that are trying to load a page just say 'connection '.  My computer is directly connected to the modem (not wireless).  All the lights on the modem are still on.  If I try to connect to Xbox live using the same modem (not connected to two devices at the same time), it always works.  If I restart the computer, it starts working again, but it is tedious and time consuming.  If I choose 'referee' on the network icon in the lower right corner of the screen, it says "Windows cannot communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)" after a few seconds.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello Neil,.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

Let us try the following methods and check.

Method 1. Let us reset TCP/IP and check.

To reset TCP/IP stack to go to this article and follow the instructions.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

    Method 2.
    Step 1.

1 connect to your router (by typing 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar) and connect. Check your user manual or documentation if you don't know the references of logon.
    2. make sure that you are in Setup-> basic configuration category.
    3. scroll down until you see "DHCP Server" - if it is disabled, select 'enable '.
4 enable DHCP if you want, you can change the number that starts the DHCP IP setting. (This is optional)
    5. use the DNS servers provided by your ISP. There are many DNS servers out there. It is preferable to use your ISP if possible.
    6. scroll and click 'Save Settings'.

    Step 2.
    1. click on start and then Control Panel.
    2. go to network and sharing Center and then click on change adapter settings.
    3. right click on the connection to the Local network and select Properties.
    4. Select Internet Protocol Version 6, and then click Properties.
    5. select Obtain DNS server automatically an address and press Ok.
    6. choose obtain an IP address automatically.
    7. repeat the steps for Internet Protocol version 4 as well.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need help, please after return. We will be happy to help you.

  • Why my internet slow down to one analysis when it should be faster?

I have 12 mb internet but im only get around 3 mb down load speed... why?

Could be one of many things:

    1. what type of connection do you have?

If the optical fiber, you should get the max of the link more closely, but with ADSL (supplied on a pair of copper wires), it can vary enormously according to the length of the line. For example, I tried "up to 24 M" on a pair of copper, but due to a very long line of the Exchange, I had only actually about 6 M.

So what type of internet connection you have? And if his livery on standard cables, how long your line is?

    2. its possible, it's a malware problem, but if there are no other symptoms, unlikely. However, it doesn't take long to download, install, update (updated by right-clicking on its icon and 'run as administrator' then go to the update tab) and run a scan with Malwarebytes free to check. It don't take long and it's free.

    3. you can do a speedtest here http://www.speedtest.net/ try speedtests running throughout the day at different times (and if possible during the night) for a few days. This verifies that the D/L speed is several times. The other speed probem is the congestion on the internet or your local connection (not yours but your access provider) PSI can also 'Butterfly' test traffic and running in peak and off peak periods should show if it happens. In this case, contact your provider. that is, if during the day 9-11 and 14:00 - 17:00 say you get 3 m, but during the night between 22:30 and 04:30, you get 9 M, then its likely to be congestion.

    4. If you think that your PC is at fault, you can then ask a friend to upgrade their PC around temp connect via your boradband and run a speedtest to see what brings?

  • Internet connection down, windows 8, reset wireless network adapter

I am running windows 8 on a computer laptop dv6 HP Envy and my internet connection keeps falling every few minutes.  This is due to the wireless network card and I have to reset the connection manually each time.  Even plugged into my modem, the connection drops.  I had my ISP reset the modem, tested and it works fine.  My connection is still down because of my network card.  Help, please.

If you run the dism.exe / online/cleanup-image /restorehealth it may very well be able to fix the corrupted files. If necessary reruns sfc / scannow.  Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  • in FF 17.0.7 I am an inermittant "jerking" problem where the window up and down intermittently. My Norton File Insight says that it is a problem of Firefox

This started happening around Version 17. Running Windows 7. When the screen "jerks", the window moves to the top of the 1 line to the title bar and then goes back down. It seems to worsen when multiple tabs are open, and more enforcement of the program. It also doesn't accept text when th jerk levonorgestrol (I just stop to correct mistakes and see what happens.) I don't see any abnormal activity that coincides with the tremors on TaskManager and ResourceManager.
It can occur more than once per minute - I got maybe 20-30 during the typing of this sentence. They do not occur only when you type, however.

    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Window_shakes

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.
