• Can not find the pre-selection adjustment Local documents - help, please?

  After that technicians Apple wiped my MacBook Pro, I reinstalled all my apps, including 6 Lightroom (CC).  No problem with purchased downloads or the addition of my presets. But oh no! When I tried to add my brushes bought, I could not find the folder of Local adjustment Preset! Where would it be?

  Oh hey, I found a solution in another post, only tangentially related. Thank you to skproductions303 for this!  (Copy and paste the solution here, in quotes, in the case where someone else has the same problems.)

  "I had the same problem, just bought a new Macbook Pro (June 2015) and Lightroom CC was this mistake as well."  Here is the dialog box that I've had with Adobe, and it cures the problem:

  Adobe: Please click on the search option in your Dock at the bottom of the screen.

  Adobe: Then click GO on the MenuBar at the top of the screen.

  Adobe:, and then click GO to folder, and then type: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe /.

  Scott: OK, I did

  Adobe: Control-click on the folder and choose read information.

  Adobe: Expand the section sharing & permissions.

  Adobe: Click on + icon, and check if the administrator select

  Scott: OK, I chose the Admin

  Adobe: Give read and write to the Admini

  Scott: completed

  Adobe: Click the gear icon and select apply changes to included items

  Adobe: In the Finder window, click GO and select GO to folder

  It is not Compatible with Vista... it was built for XP computers and will not install on later versions of Windows.

• Why not "allow Adobe to install...". "actually work?  [OSX]

  This computer running OSX 10.9.5 and currently has version 18.0.0.194 of the NPAPI plugin installed Flash version.

  The setting labeled "Allow Adobe install updates (recommended)" is selected.

  Rather than maintain the update of the Flash plugin, it seems to do is inform me to download the new version and install it myself.
  This problem occurs on all versions of Mac OS x that I tested.

  What I can't understand, is what is happening within Adobe that you can not do the job of correctly...  I thought about this a bit and I can think of a respectable rational explanation for this.

  If the current version of Flash is such a risk of security (that I know to be true), why would not have chosen to ensure that those who use your products are safer?  Google does for those who use Chrome.

  It is possible that Google's software engineers are simply better, but Adobe could simply use the Sparkle Framework (Sparkle: a framework for update of free software for Mac), which has existed for many years and is used by a large number of free and commercial OSX applications.

  Personally, I am currently working on the problem of fixing on OSX with a shell script and on Windows, I use Chocolatey.  The obvious problem is that it helps the users to which I adhere personally and I (I work in it).

  I thought it was time to ask Adobe...  Is there a logical reason, you are not automatically updated your software, especially when it was one of the most compromised pieces of software on the planet?

  I thought that it was because the app includes a 1.4.2 JVM and that my XP has not any JVM pre-installed, but the main image on my W7 has a 1.7 JVM. But even after I uninstalled the 1.7 and installed JVM 1.4.2 on the W7 machine, I kept getting the error message so I guess that it is not bound.

  With the help of Lachi, we found that the app natively works on W7, no need for ThinApp it if the goal is just to make it work on W7, from a XP world.

  The only change we had to make (and the error was the same ThinApp-ed, which is what I originally shared) is that the application should work with Windows 7 in "classic" mode "of the screen (without Aero and the menu start XP-style). This is because the application runs an old integrated version of Java (1.4) and it makes the system calls seeking specific .dll to display, which are not accessible by default if Aero is enabled.

  If you don't create (or have) your set of recovery discs, there are two options available.

  1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

  Order HP recovery disks.

  2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

  Before you try the following, make sure that you can still read all the key character product activation 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

  An example of a COA label can be seen here.

  You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

  Why is the software installed? The answer is quite simple. In each series of laptop there are a lot of different hardware configurations and some series have over 100 different laptops, in particular a series. Here in Europe, we have books from A100-100 to A100-980. There are a lot of units, and it is not possible to create a recovery CD for each unique laptop model.

  Because of this Toshiba to create a sort of standard installations CD that can be used on many models. If your unit doesn't have BT you can simply remove the preinstalled applications.
