Why not LR 4.4 import my Canon's CR2 files suddenly

After working on my mac for years, I'm suddenly impossible to import camera raw, or any other.

This means that the file you are trying to copy the photos to has no WRITE permission.

So go to your operating system, replace the permissions on this folder to SCRIPTURE. - OR - change the folder to a location that has WRITE permission

  • Why not show the photos imported into Lightroom?

I imported a file of about 170 photos in lightroom using the same process I used for a month.  the files are a combination of canon .cr2 files and corresponding .jpg files that go with the .cr2s.

After the import is complete lightroom showed zero pictures in this folder.  I immediately took panic and double checked that all files really did not exist in the folder via windows Explorer.

However, if I go back and try to re-importation of the import function files shows all files as having been previously imported.

I tried the process "synchronize the folder" and it shows first as '170' files to import, but after the full synchronization function it shows 0 files processed.

Any ideas why lightroom refuses to show this particular group of files?

I suspect it's something either really easy or the library on my system is messed up because of corruption.

If the library is messed up how can I do to rebuild.  These photos are critical for me because they are shooting at the head of an actress.

Here is my proposal... you imported photos with the copy option, and if your Windows Explorer thinks that they are in the Outbox folder (so you think), and Lightroom they think in case Z, where the photos have been copied.

So... in Lightroom, if you si vous pouvez pouvez go to catalog the left panel, click on all photos, find one of these photos of 170 critical and do a right click on it then go to the folder in the library. This will tell you where Lightroom think that pictures are found. From there, you can work with photos, or update their folder location A (where you think they should be). If it works and that's what you want, writing back and we will advice you and others.

  • Why NOT write the TAG ID information for the associated file? Windows Media Player 12

I don't like iTunes and WMP12 looks worse.  Here's my problem...

I edit the media information (sing or film etc...) by changing some information tag - track number, title etc...  Even when I select "Apply media information changes" in the "menu to organize the information of the tag does not change when I watch it by clicking the file and selecting Properties."  What gives?  I won't waste my time making sure that everything is organized and labeled correctly just so that WMP not attached this information in a file.  What worries me is that when I import the songs to another PC then all these information is lost.
For example, I change the title of the track (you will need to change the title of the track, so WMP it sorts correctly because it does not support CD # in a multiple-CD box set)
    CD1 Title track 1
    CD1 Title track 2
    ...
    CD2 Title track 1
    CD2 Title track 2
    ...
When I look at the file - nothing changes - UG!

It sounds just like my question, so yesterday, I created a thread. I understand that it's quite old but thought if someone clicks on this thread, I might as well try and provide a response.

  • Photoshop CS5 will not update Camera Raw CS5 won't open CR2 files in bridge

Canon's CR2 6 d files will not open in bridge. I also shoot with a Canon 50 d and all images imported very well from this camera.

I have also tried to update to photoshop CS5, but will not work. Say error whenever it load to 100%.

[Ask in the correct forum allows... Moved from non-technical Forum Lounge on deck forum... MOD]

To the 6 d, you need Camera Raw 7.3, which is available for CS6. You will need to use the free dng converter and save a version of Camera Raw 5.X to PS CS5 can open it.

  • Canon. CR2 files, he but unreadable.

    @

I have a sizey problem and have never used forums but I tried everything so here Let's go!

Usual method of copying the CR2 files:

    Canon 5 d mkiii

Legit Sandisk 16 gb card CF Extreme
Copies files to an end 2013 27 "iMac.

    Problem:

The files seem to have corrupted somehow, I can see only about 30 pictures through the camera LCD screen, the rest came with a question mark.
The CF card is identified by the mac there is no file there, but in 'get info' of the CF, he says it's a PCI full height.

    Tried:

I tried using different card readers.

I tried to copy the files on the SD card placed on the form of the computer, the SD - the files are there and they are the correct normal file size but there is no overview and the file is non-working in several programs.

I tried to format the SD card and using "rescue card" to bring their return but the same problem occurs.

I contacted a specialist and he said he'll try and get back them for $300 if recoverable and $0 if nothing is salvageable...

I wonder if any legend out there can share some information to this rare case... the pictures are for a client and it's quite stressful.

    Much appreciated!

    Dunc.

    Problem with CR2 files.

Clearly the data on your memory card is corrupted, and maybe it's the card, itself, is damaged physically/electronically.

If the various photo recovery programs can't see the image data, so he card is probably bad and the images are lost.  If only the directory on the card information are poorly written, but the images are accessible on the map, if you knew where the data were, so perhaps an image recovery program that recognizes your camera raw photos, would be able to find other photos.  Since now you have formatted your card, certain directory information has been deleted, so only a program that recognizes the images would be of no use.

I suggest using as many photo recovery programs as you can, to see if any of them find thumbnails of images more than the 30 or so you saw originally and then try to recover with those.  If no other program recovery find more photos and images probably aren't there anymore, because the electronic memory card is damaged.  Usually photo recovery programs will scan and show you the htumbnails of images for free, but you pay for actually saving off the recovered images.  It could very well be that the programs are able to recover the integrated preview jpg files but not the raw data.  The built-in preview JPGs are better than nothing.

Some high end cameras have two slots for cards and you can have the camera write the same image in each of the two memory cards where one of the cards goes wrong.  What you're saying, that you must not have has your camera set up in this way.

How is it that when I create a form in Acrobat Pro, fill it out and save it in pdf format, and then import or place the file saved in a Word or document Pages that ONLY the form fields are visible data or not filled in?  I tried everything I know and it happens every time.  Thank you.

Please can someone help?  I'm trying to import pictures using Windows Photo Gallery - but when I insert an SD card into my card reader it won't let me discover the Explorer dependencies photos first... • Lightroom cc 2015,5 CR2 files suddenly not importers of SD or flash cards

I've been using Lightroom cc for three months without problems.  Yesterday I tried to import pictures from my flash card and received the following message: "the following files were imported not because they could not be read."  I formatted the card, took more blows and tried again without success.  they import photos (aka iPhoto) very well.  Tried the same thing with my SD card and no luck.  Same message.  I just installed the latest update of Lightroom (2015.5) and still no luck.  Help, please.

This message indicates the destination folder doesn't have WRITE permission.

    So here is the solution

    1. Determine the Destination folder (it's on the right side of the import dialog box under Destination)
    2. change the permissions on this EXACT issue in your operating system has the WRITE permission; OR change the destination folder in a folder that has WRITE permission

  • PES 10 still does not accept a cr2 file when well even I downloaded dng converter... Do I need an another Photoshop?

PSE will not accept a cr2 file. Why is this?

You batch convert a CR2 file folder and use the DNG files in PSE10

You can convert an entire folder of images raw with a single click. See this quick video tutorial:
