• Inspiron 530 s CPU Upgrade - why some Dual Core and not others?

  Inspiron 530 s been chugging along fine (although strong), but has now been replaced, so decided to take a look inside, radiator & fan felt loose so unscrewed it and he lifted directly out absolutely no resistance, so I think that the cpu and the radiator cleaning and put thermal paste on would be a good idea.

  When I opened it, I thought that I might as well upgrade the processor as older bicoeur are going for about $10-15 here, (he currently has a 1.87? double heart in it), so I got a reading of the forum to find what was possible

  Seem some of the processors used cheap available locally does not not at these figures (and they seem to be somewhat of Eug than those that match)

  for example the E8200 E6850, E7200, what of these processors prevents them from working?

  And as a note aside will upgrade the radiator and the fan, if I get a different processor?

  The E7200 and E8200 are 65w/45nm Wolfdale processors and should work.

  The E6850 is a 65w/65nm Conroe and will not work

  There should be no need to replace the entire radiator/fan of the 530 Inspiron s, but remember to check the version of the BIOS before installing the processor.

• Why can't Stickies app note remember its position?

  I have a few Stickies by virtual desktops. The problem is, whenever I have to restart the OSX, because an update of the OS for example, a sticky note does not restore the virtual desktop that was before restarting.   I've upgraded to 7.0.1... CNN, eBay, webemail, banjohangout.org (windows modal script requires the widget files) and a few other Web sites do not open properly. I'm running XP 32. I upgraded the Radeon x 1600 video drivers updated to v. 8.593 (10.2). Solve problems in Firefox says 7.0.1 WebGL & blocked GPU... the customer needs to move to c. 10.6 or more. ATI (manufacturer) has no V.10.6. What now?

  I am trying to import several images that are right on my hard drive, so I can organize in LR.  Some images are highlighted, and others are not.  Who is not, will not matter.  I check... and they do not yet matter.  What I am doing wrong?

  The usual reason for this is that the photos are "grayed out" in the import dialog box indicating that the photos has previously been imported into LR and so it didn't need to be (and shouldn't be) imported a second time.

  It is not a bug, if you have "Including developing parameters in the metadata in JPEG, TIFF, PNG and PSD files" enabled in the settings of catalog?

  

  If so what changes are saved to the file (CTRL + S) the file metadata is more matching the original file. When re-import the original file without metadata changes it is considered as a' new file' if it is imported into the same folder as the file currently imported, it is renamed from of-2.

• Why VMware WS 9 does not save its information in "~/vmware" with 12.04.1 Ubuntu 64-bit.

  I just bought the upgrade of VMware 9 for use with Ubuntu 12.04.1 64-bit.

  The installation was smooth and I created 2 virtual machines (Ubuntu 10.04.4 64-bit) and Windows 7 64-bit and installed the VMware tools on both of them.

  But whenever I run VMware Workstation, I have a panel of the dialog box to accept the end user agreement!

  In addition, every time I want to start one of these 2 VM, VMware says: ' VMware Workstation should store user preferences and other information contained in the directory "~/.vmware".» You want to continue although VMware Workstation could not create this directory? ".

  Just after this first message, VMware said " install the VMware tools inside this virtual machine package. The repressive operations prompt starts, then select VM > install VMware Tools... and follow the instructions. "

  What is the problem and why VMware is unable to create its own "~/.vmware" directory and store its own information, like the fact that I have already installed the famous VMware Tools inside of my 2 VMs or already accepted the end-user agreement package?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated because the use of VMware Worksation as it's really boring.

• Why a mov file does not appear as a black screen with audio only?

  I import a file mov in items 11 and it appears only as a black screen with audio.  The clip will play in other programs on my computer but does not matter in items 11.  The file was created on my panisonic camera.  I am fairly new to video editting and completely frusterated.  I guess it's sort of a codec issue but do not know how to proceed.  Thanks for any help.

  Hardware Apple JPEG should play very well, as long as you have the latest version of Apple QuickTime installed. CODEC is included, and generally, first can use it.

  In addition, I did not see if you're on a Mac or a PC.

  I have not heard about mfgrs camera. tweaking the JPEG, as they do with MJPEG (MotionJPEG), but if Pannyy did change things, then their specific version of the JPEG CODEC probably will install utility disc of your camera. With some disc utility, the CODEC is a separate installation with some, it install the camera driver, if there is one and with others, the necessary CODEC installs with the cataloging/editing utility program.

• Why is Firefox 42.0 not get updated to be compatible with Norton Identity Safe?

  Although the Norton Toolbar now appears to 42.0, Identity Safe function does not work with. Firefox does not provide the same level of assistance navigation that makes Identity Safe from Norton, and using Firefox without the Identity Safe requires several additional keys and many more lost time. Norton make sure that the secure identity must be compatible, and it works fine in Internet Explorer. Norton claims that Firefox "Auditors" are always check program compatibility issues, but how long this process will take? Use Firefox without the Identity Safe is so cumbersome and time-consuming that I might have to try Google Chrome or go back to Internet Explorer, even if I used Firefox since it first came out. Please don't force me to spend. Thank you.

  I understand its annoying, but the toolbar compatibility is something being developed by Norton, please also request their support.
