Why switching USB ports makes my iPhone that is recognizable as a camera in Windows XP?

My iPhone 4S has been recognized under Windows XP in the iTunes application, but not by the scanner and Camera Wizard.  I called Apple support and confirms that iTunes and Windows XP are both aware.  The representative of Apple technical support suggested that I have try changing USB ports and immediately the camera appeared in the wizard.  I'm curious as to why this could have happened.  Recognition of camera to fail last time I had to remove and reinstall iTunes but that seems to be and obverkill solution.

Thanks in advance for anyone's thoughts.

Hi Jim Snively,

Universal Serial Bus (USB) is the most common interface for connecting devices to a computer. Most computers have two to four USB ports to connect keyboards, mice or hard drives, or plug a flash drive or a similar storage device. Locking and unlocking of the ports through Group Policy Windows settings reduced risks related to USB security.

  • How to make the icon that indicates the caps caps disappear from windows 7?

    Hello world
I am new to windows 7 but I am very happy with it, is great. However... There is something that I find very annoying and would like to settle as soon as possible a solution would be very welcome.
I'm a trigger easy person when it comes to using earplugs I love and does not hesitate to she and I certainly don't want to turn them off, but I want really is to make the icon that pops up saying on the Caps hats disappear; It stops typing you for a second or two, but it is not that I don't want this crap appearing all the time, I find it very boring and does not prevent my goal when studying... HOW CAN I RESOLVE THIS ISSUE?

    HEY... Thank you.
Someone told me Quickset but could not find it in my pc, guess there is a chance, I don't know where to look, but start certainly did not show it. or maybe it is not yet in the system.
I contacted Samsung support by electronic mail and gave them as much detail of the pc as possible, except the number of pc, because I didn't have the box again but all similarly subsequently found in tiny and the same silver color on bottom of laptop PC. I was not thinking straight at the time to think and look at the bottom of the pc.
What they did was to send me a link to a forum and say that it wasn't anything to do with them or others... not very helpful at all, but will contact them again with all the details.
I'll deal with them and see if they like this for me.
    Thanks :)

  • Why don't Adobe make it clear that the Dehaze tool does not work with stand alone Lightroom 6?

I upgraded to LR 6 because of the Dehaze feature only to find out after that I bought that is not available without subscription of the CC. Very disappointed. Why isn't this clearly from the beginning. ???

It was clarified at the beginning, to the official announcement of Lightroom 6.1/Lightroom CC 2015.1 https://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2015/06/june-updates-to-cc-photography.html

It lists the features currently available in Lightroom CC (which isn't Lightroom 6), and there is an asterisk next to Dehaze, the asterisk is said "Please note that these features are not available in the stand-alone version of Lightroom 6.1."

    Is that clear enough?

  • Why Adobe continue to make crappy products that constantly crash and lost working hours when it is more embarrassing?

Seriously!  If Apple had not done and stopped doing the CPF, I'd still like that my life.  Instead, I am stuck again using first.  Once again!  It is a piece of entry level of shit that they were NEVER able to make it stable.  She always does, and I'm sick of it!

    Always you rant.

With first, breaks down and the corrupted project files are standard and since I used first the first (v5.1c).  I am disappointed and frustrated that Adobe seems unable or reluctant to engineer a product that constantly... does not crash.

His bullet broof in my editing suites... so go figure.

However... you actually fixed by simple adjustment of the system. Play well.

And after disabling the sync and my firewall setting, set this last time, the problem seems to have resolved itself.

Why can´t I do my AGFA SNAPSCAN 1212U scanner working properly, my windows vista 32 bit, when it say installation was done correctly and ready for use. ! ?

    Hi Søren benaceur

You have compatible installed the drivers for the scanner working properly?

There don't seem to be compatible drivers available for the scanner to work with windows vista. I suggest you try to install drivers available for windows XP in compatibility mode on Windows Vista and verification.

    http://static.Agfa.com/digicam_scanner_drivers/scanner/snapscan_1212u/index.html

So to work around the problem, try to install the drivers for Windows XP in Windows Vista compatibility mode and check if you are able to solve the problem. Compatibility mode may or may not work depending on the specifications of the device.
Compatibility mode is used if a program written for an earlier version of Windows does not work properly. Then, you can use the program compatibility Wizard to change the compatibility of the program settings. To manually change the settings of a program, use the individual program's compatibility tab

You can check the link for assistance on compatibility mode - mentioned below
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If the problem persists while you can contact the manufacturer for assistance without a driver, the device may not work properly. Also, pilots can only be provided by the manufacturer of the device.

    I hope this helps.

  • iTunes not identify iphone or usb port

When you install Itunes on a new computer Windows 10, that's not identifies my iPhone.

I tried the possible sollutions 'all' found on the web, but nothing makes any difference.

When running the diagnostics on the computer it says that "Apple Mobile Device Driver is missing".

When you run diagnose on any iPhone and iTunes, it is said that no USB ports has been detected.

In the written report diagnosis (translated from Swedish):

    iPodService
    12.3.2.35 (x 64) is active.

    iTunesHelper
    12.3.2.35 is active.

The Apple Mobile Device Service 3.3.0.0 service is active

    No USB chipset was found.
No chipset FireWire (IEEE 1394) was found

Found no iPod, iPhone or iPad

The iPhone is connected by USB-cable and is dected by the computer and visible as a device in Solution Explorer, but not iTunes.

I have reinstalled iTunes, tried all USB ports, restarted the iPhone, followed the relevant advice on the Apple support.

I have no free support on me iPhone any longer.

The thing is that everything is working well on my other computer (Windows 7) with exactly the same version of iTunes.

Can someone help me why it does not work on my new computer?

    Try the following:

    1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
    2. Plug in your device
    3. Locate Bus USB Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB.
    4. Right-click and select software update of the driver...
    5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
    6. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
      C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
    7. Click on let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
    8. Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
    9. Click Next, then close and exit the Device Manager

Or try If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod - Apple Support.

If not try a complete tear down and rebuild iTunes in accordance with the resolution of the problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

  • iPnone 4 s recognized do not want dv7 - 7333cl rnning Windows 8 when it is plugged into usb port

Laptop does not recognize the iPhone 4S when plugged into one of the 4 usb ports. All the usb drivers are up-to-date. All the udates win 8 and HP have been installed and are ongoing. Ports recognized so sticks of memory seem to work. Is there a special driver needed for iPhone?

    Hey texasbootz,

I'll have you to answer a few questions to understand exactly what is happening:

    1. When the iPhone is connected to the laptop, there is no pay?
    2. When the iPhone is connected to the laptop, it appears in Device Manager?
    3. ITunes is installed?

If she is not charged when it is connected, it is possible that the cable you are using is not working properly, and you may need a replacement. Alternatively, the iPhone itself is having a few problems.

In any case, given that the other devices work in all of your USB ports, it is possible that its a software issue (with pilots from the iPhone) or a problem with the case of the iPhone. You will need to contact Apple for support on any of these questions. I suggest try to re-install / install iTunes, see if that fixes it, then contact Apple.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello

I see that you have opened a ticket with support of this, so I'll give you the answer to the public.

To avoid seeing this message, WAN1 network service detection both WAN2 must be verified. There is no NSD for the USB port. I see that the message is misleading, pointing to the USB interface. It is intended to be fixed in the future.

  • Satellite M300 - left USB port does not work

    Hey,.

I have a M300 Satellite, with a USB port on the right and the other on the left side. The one on the left has never worked with anything. Its never bothered me until now - I bought a portable HD and I need to connect it and a mouse at the same time...

Interesting note though that when I put the laptop HD in the left USB port, the led lights, hard disk. The lappy himself made no sign he knows its there and I cannot access it, however...

Any advice? Thank you very much!

I guess, it is burning or something like that. You can buy a USB hub, it's a device that develops a single USB port into several so that there is more available ports to connect devices to a host system. It's not expensive and you connect many devices.
