  I bought an opportunity DC7800 (no disc).  I ran the compatibility of Windows 7 software and it didn't come back with any problems.  I installed Windows 7 Ultimate.  USB does not recognize any jump readers, portable discs or iPod (However when I plug in my external drive Toshiba it powers the drive upwards - just don't install any drivers or shoot them in the directory.)  I installed a printer and it prints well, but even with printing action I can not access the printer on the network (I can access the Public folder shared on the network - so that's good).  After you play with it for several hours, I installed Vista Ultimate on.  He always has exactly the same problem with the USB ports (again... motorized Toshiba but don't even recognize).  I installed all the drivers on the HP site.  Really all that my wife needs him for is the internet and sync his iPhone (it is not recognize it when it is plugged).  Either way, I have no plug in a USB or anything before installing Windows 7.

  It seems that USB devices operate normally (at least with regard to Device Manager is concerned).

  If the USB port still does not work after installing all the drivers above, go back and uninstall these usb controllers and restart.

  If it does not, there is probably some kind of hardware problem that I don't know how to fix.

  I managed to find a way to do it, I needed to set the usb drivers 3 unzipped on a 2nd USB on usb port 2 to use when the Setup program has been started and lost the USB 3.
  the ol F6 trick always works with win 7 and is more flexible, now that it allows pilots more than just raid.

I first thought that the older printer was not compatible with the new OSx software, so I've just upgraded to a new HP LaserJet Pro 400 M451dw. same results and the computer is not even connect to the printer. The number of post detailing a similar problem, I would hope that apple now had a fix for this problem...

  The Laserjet 4 do not have a USB port.  You use a USB / parallel?  These can be problematic.  The posts here have USB-parallel cable users reported work with Windows 7.

• After the installation of Win 10, iTunes not autolaunch iPhone plugged in USB

  Just don't have win 10 upgraded to Win 7. Before the update, iTunes will launch immediately when I connected my 6s iPhone USB cable (which is how I backup and synchronize - do not use the cloud). After winning 10 update iTunes will automatically start. I can open iTunes manually, it detects the phone and syncs fine. Any ideas on how to get the auto launch back? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  After about 4 reboots, problem has fixed itself. iTunes is now launching when the iPhone is connected to the USB cable.
