Why Windows 7 has ceased to recognize the media in two optical drives?

I HAVE WINDOWS 7 PRO 64-BIT.  In addition, I spin that two optical climb that show in Device Manager with the same drivers that they had when they worked very well.  Less than a week a player then the other stopped playing, or eeven recognizing that there is a disc in the drive.  I did all the steps of superficial trobleshooting, but I can't play or more important still, they will work nor an installation for a new router disc.

I'd appreciate really a few ideas about this problem

Thank you

  • Why has my Windows 7 Home ceased to recognize the Fat32 drives?

Until a few months ago, my Windows 7 Home had no problem reading disks formatted FAT32, including my HTC Incredible phone. But now he wants to just get myself in shape every time that I connect them via USB. The same readers are very well read by my laptop Windows 7 Starter and a Windows XP computer. I even tried connecting to a Windows 7 computer to work, and he wants to format the drive as well. I was installing a bad update or it will be a fix soon?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

From your description, I understand that Windows 7 does not recognize Fat32 drives.

Please don't worry. I'll try my best to help you.

    Did you change your computer?

Method 1: Run the troubleshooter to solve hardware problems or unknown device:

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/tips-for-fixing-common-driver-problems

Method 3: Scanning of the file system [SFC] checker on the computer that will replace missing or corrupt files & check if the problem persists.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

Method 4: Check which application is conflicted:

Step 1: Start your computer in safe mode with networking

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Note: Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed

If the problem does not occur in Mode safe mode with networking, we can use the approach 50 / 50 to narrow down the root cause of the problem.

Step 2: Refer to the section below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.

Please follow these recommended steps, review the additional information provided and post back if you still have the problem. I'll be happy to provide you with additional options available that you can use to get this problem is solved.

  • Sansa has ceased to recognize the files

Last week, I downloaded 3 CD to iTunes as I have done a million times before without a problem. I noticed that the album CD names were all different - even if they were part of the same series.  I deleted the files from my rocket and I changed the name of the album are identical in iTunes.  When I tried to re - download it from iTunes, however, the files are not transferred.

    What gives?

I don't know how you go sit their - drag-and-drop mode MSC or MTP via Windows Media Player mode.

It is also possible that iTunes has started to change how it tags things, or that the database online iTunes uses a human error in it.

But first, try this: make sure that the albums aren't on the "rocket". Then in MSC mode, go to the root directory of rocket (some driveletter "rocket" is on your computer) and remove mtable.sys. The database, the index made from ID3 tags. It may be not transfer because the database estimated that albums are already there. When you disconnect, it will update the database, and then you can try to transfer again.

Might work, might not. Let us know.

  • HP HP Deskjet 4400 w/proper cartridges ceased to recognize the color cartridge. Nothing helps. :(

Out of the blue, it just ceased to recognize the color cartridge has been installed, to give me the 'E' in the first window of the printer. In the second window of the printer, it is the icon of the levels of two ink with a flashing color, blank display, with an arrow pointing to it. I tried ALL steps suggested, by removing and reinstalling, cleaning the drive cartridge and printhead into the printer as shown, installing a new cartridge. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the software! Once in a blue moon, during several removals and reinstallings of the cartridge, it will record long enough to print a document, and then it returns to the same error message. It's just over a year (so, of course, the warranty has expired :-{) and I am at my wit's end! Help, please!?
    Note: The cartridge first, this has happened with was about 1/3 full when the problem started (or ink levels told me til now and every time she recognize it thereafter, but briefly. With the new cartridge, it always does the same thing, only show the cartridge as full when it recognizes, but I can't even have her now! :-{

It looks like the sensor that detects that the ink cartridge is off. I'm afraid you need to replace the printer.

  • Windows 7 has ceased to update

Windows 7 has ceased to update

    Hello

I realize has the inconvenience that you are experiencing with the download of the Windows updates. I will certainly help you to question.

I would like to know some information:

    1. Using any software antivirus and security of others on your device?

    2. You receive an error message when checking for Windows updates?

    3. You did changes to the hardware/software before this problem?

    4. You use a wired connection or wireless?

Also, I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1:

See the link below and check if it helps:

Windows Update crashes when installing updates in Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista

Important note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    Method 2:

If you use a third-party security software, try to disable the third-party security software and check. Disable third-party security software.

a: you should see an icon for your Antivirus program in the taskbar notification area. It is usually at the bottom right of your desktop.

    b. click the third-party security software, you will see a pop up.

    (c) in this pop and select the option to disable, click on it.

    d. now third-party security software will be disabled.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished.  If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attack.

    Hope this information helps.

Thank you to provide us with the information to look for more on this subject and to better understand the issue and we will be happy to offer our help.

    Thank you.

  • Why windows 7 has been named this name?

Why windows 7 has been named this name?

This is because not all OS Windows is a set of 'version', in the same way that there are several versions of Mac OS X. Here's a more detailed explanation:

Windows 3.0, 3.1 and 3.11 used the number of version as part of their name. Windows NT followed suit with NT 3.1 and 3.5.

Windows 95 was technically version 4.0 and the version of the Windows NT 4.0 server. Win 98 was 4.10.1998, Win 98 SE was 4.10.222A and Windows Me was 4.90.3000.

Windows 2000 was the first version of the family of version 5, followed by Windows XP, which was version 5.1.

    Windows Vista is version 6.0.

  • My computer has ceased to recognize drives of games like games, they are called rewritable discs.

My computer has ceased to recognize drives of games like games, they are called the re-writable discs and will not give me the option to do something else that import photos or open files.

I managed to install the game by going into the files and setting up manually, however the game refuses to play. This has never happened before, but seems to be perform two games, (a new game I am trying to install and an old, often played the game, which is no longer recognized).

I'm not sure it's related, but this computer has a trojan virus not long ago who was a pain to get rid of. I'm sure it's over now, but I thought that it is preferable to include in the case where he shed light.

I don't know what to do now. I've uninstalled and restarted the driver for the cd/dvd. This made no difference. Help, please.

Thank you for your suggestions, but none of the above helped. I've fixed since the question.

Thank God, the computer is a dell, I was able to live chat with their technicians and they walked me through different types of solutions until we found where the problem was.

The computer if it not so long ago a trojan that messed with some of the readers leaving them unable to recognize media of any kind as something other than files to open. We had to do a clean install of the operating system, which was the heart break because there was a risk of losing anything we forgot to back up and took forever to completely reinstall all the drivers and software on the computer.

The hard drive works fine now, we are relieved and grateful for all the help.

Depends entirely on this laptop you have. If it has a 64-bit processor
You can use 64-bit Windows. If a 32-bit CPU, you can't.

If you don't know you have, hold down the Windows key and press
Break | Break. It will tell you if you have a 32-bit
    processor or 64-bit processor.

  • Satellite A200-1AE does not recognize the USB 2.0 flash drive

I have a problem because my satellite A200-1AE with Microsoft Vista does not recognize the USB 2.0 flash drive. He asks me a program/software!
The same USB works without problem on other computers with vista!

    Someone knows what to do?

    Hello

First of all, you must disconnect all USB devices and must remove the USB ports and controllers in the Device Manager.
After this procedure, you must restart the laptop. After a new restart the Vista operating system should recognize the USB ports and should reinstall USB drivers again.

Then you must update the Vista to the State! All fixes and patches must be installed. Please note that you will have to visit the MS Update site for all patches

Notes; MS has released a beta of Vista SP1. I installed it on my laptop and it has solved several problems.
