  Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

  I use the preview mode icons in the Finder feature to pre-select one or more images for later use in documents. The pre-selection spans more than 30-40 records, each a few images from 80 to 120.   Finder, as the system and other applications, will use unused memory in the file cache. It uses more memory, but it does not use what is available and who otherwise would be wasted. If something else needs memory, cache memory is reduced. There is no need to keep 'liberation' memory.
