Wi - Fi and DVD storage + more Q!

Hi, I have a few questions:

I can save all my (legit) DVDs on the Media Hub without any conversion / retouching / messing around?

Is the Media Center wireless active or I have to (or can I) but a wireless card?

If my wife has an IPOD and I have another we have both share the same music or do we deal with the mess of accounts full?

My intention is to connect it to the power (in my garage) next to my wireless router. If he (media center) is not active wireless, I imagine that I will need to plug it into my ethernet port available?

If I just plug this into my router and have a wireless network, this device will flow wireless to my HP MediaSmart Connect X280N?

The HP MediaSmart Connect X280N is compatible with this unit?

Bottom line here, it is that I want to put all my media, videos, CD IPOD stuff etc. on a SINGLE machine and make sure it's redundant (will buy another drive when I order) and be able to play on my HDTV.

Thank you!!

Hello

If we consider the network Media Hub as only a simple storage device, then Yes, you can store all your files on the network Media Hub. Based on the network Media Hub specification is just a wired device so wireless for this camera, but what you can do to make it wireless is get one of the adapters of wireless of Linksys (WGA600N) game and use it with the network Media Hub to make it wireless.

Anyone can access the files on the network Media Hub in the same time, its DLNA 1.5 not certified, so no configuration of the necessary user accounts.

If the HP X280N MediaSmart Connect device and the network Media Hub is part of the same network then Yes you can use Network Media Hub as the storage of the files that your HP X280N can get media from. Yet once, just consider the network Media Hub as a simple network storage device so that we can see a better picture where this device is on the network.

I hope this helps.

No CD is even close to this title, so it should be a DVD.

Your drive should support disks you are using, so check with the system manufacturer (if the player comes with

  • HDD and DVD problem SATA1 and SATA3

Yesterday my computer started to have problems with Seagate on SATA3 (disc L) disc. Finally my L drive has not even appear under my computer. After that, I noticed that my DVD ROM is not appear as a drive letter more either. I have an E521.

Boot Samsung on SATA disk 0.

    Burner DVD player SATA 2.

DVD ROM was in SATA 1.

Seagate disc L was on SATA 3.

I have SATA 0 (boot disk) and 2 SATA DVD burner. Both known and always good work.

If I move the burner DVD SATA 1 or SATA 3, it does not appear in my computer.

If I add L or DVD-ROM SATA drive 2 neither one works there either.

SATAs are turned on in the BIOS.

It seems that the SATA-1 and SATA 3 work at all and when I try 2 devices which were attached to SATA 1 and SATA 3 on SATA2 they fail there also.

Is is possible that the SATA-1 and SATA 3 are "toast" and "grilled" these 2 devices when they got out?

The SATA-1 and SATA 3 attached somehow?

After extensive troubleshooting, it seems that only SATA 0 and SATA2 actually work more and DVD ROM or Seagate Drive L will work on SATA 2 (a known port work.)

If I just plug in and go to F2 under SATA options, each unit is actually recognized in the BIOS but never appears in my computer or in storage devices in administrative tools.

Nothing has changed I was runnning like that for more than a year.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Should I get the 32 gig and increase storage icloud or get the 128 gig?

iCloud can't complete really the iPads of storage on board. You can't have apps to run from iCloud, you can't the films played to iCloud, etc...

If you plan to use more than the 32GBs go for bigger sizes.

Hello world! The problem is basically just, he doesn't want to write/burn any cd/dvd brand more. He works wonders for little over a year and recently developed this problem. I'm sure that's not media brands I've tried with several. The problem with Nero, Alcohol120%, MagicISO, PowerISO, Burn4Free, regardless of what I am trying to burn data, audio, regular programs or images. Note that I am able to write with alcohol with success but there is in fact nothing on the CD and Nero burns the data also but fails to verify after the fact and gives an error. Writing on DVD R/RW is completely failed, creating coasters. Also the Player opens without reason and when he wants. I have laptop Toshiba A200 - 1 MB under original Vista Home Premium. Here's an error report, hopefully it'll help. Thanks and any assistance is much appreciated!

Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

    (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
    2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

This utility can remove the filters for you:

Also remove the dust on the lens with a clean Microfiber cloth.

  • Satellite M40: Power calibration error - drive cannot burn DVD - RW more

My drive is a carpet * an oem UJ - 831S. After a screw-up partitioning job, I had to format my HD and reinstall Windows XP... and then I can not burn DVD - RW more.

Tried many programs such as Nero and a fireman, gives an error of calibration of power from the beginning.
Burning CD - r and CD - RW no problem however, and I can read CDs and DVDs of movies very well.

Google and searched for a month without success, tried to blow the laser lens, but there is no dust, I tried different media, etc. I know the best answer is that the drive is done, BUT I refuse to acknowledge it because it is too big of a coincedence to stop working right after that I reinstalled XP.

An interesting note however, my laptop has not been provided with a CD of Toshiba, so I had to reinstall manually more drivers by downloading the Toshiba site, so I have a funny feeling, this could be a thing of the software/firmware, or even a framework.

I installed the new firmware 1.02 for the reader as well. I don't remember what the firmware was before resettlement, IE the laptop computer settings to factory default, I'd like to downgrade to 1.00 if possible.

Experts have ideas? And is there a way I can reset the firmware?

Maybe I could remove the drive from the system-> devices and let XP Reinstall for me?

    Hello

    > I don't know the best answer is that the drive is done, BUT I refuse to acknowledge it because it is too big of a coincidence to stop working right after that I reinstalled XP.

Of course, it s simply to say the drive is dead because everything looks like a hardware malfunction. Most often the power calibration error appears because of the drive lens can't calibrate in the right position and thus cannot read some CD or DVD s s or it of not possible to write about them.

But maybe you are a lucky man and might try this procedure:
-Try to remove the drive physically from the Bay for laptop
-Restart the unit without the drive
-In this case the operating system should start from the HARD drive
-Close the notebook then reinsert the drive unit in the Bay of s for laptop
During initialization, the laptop should recognize the drive and must pick up the firmware

Then you can check if you can burn the DVD again, otherwise you will need a new drive

  • Mac Pro, Flash Storage, Dropbox, and external storage Solutions

I am considering a Mac Pro to a computer in the enterprise. I hope someone can give an overview and experience with the dilemma of using a computer with a small amount of storage on board, dropbox and external storage devices.

    Background:

Mac Pro storage on board - The Mac Pro has limited onboard storage. It comes with a 256 k flash memory and is apparently expandable to 512 or 1 TB. But, I can not even know where to buy the storage upgrade. For some reason, it seems even to be available for purchase on Apple's site. I can't understand how much it costs or where to buy it. I found a link showing how to install it, but that's all.

Dropbox - Dropbox is an important part of the company, or at least my business. The tricky thing is that Dropbox doesn't seem to work very well if this does not work on an operating system main hard drive. I tried once on a Mac Mini Server, and it does not work well. I read on the Dropbox site that it doesn't work so well. The small amount of storage on board available for the Mac Pro means that it is necessary to use an external drive, which is fine with me, with the exception of the question of Dropbox. Is anyone here from an experience with this problem.

External storage - the question here is as stated above. How to get an external drive on a Mac Pro, the operating system is not installed on, to work properly. I know that most people could read this and suggest to go to the website of Dropbox support for more information. I was able to do that and have nothing. Looking for Mac people who could potentially experience.

In short, how the hell you upgrade Mac Pro flash storage... where do you get, and how much it costs?  And second, anyone experience using Dropbox on a Mac Pro, where the Dropbox folder is not located on the operating system drive.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

-Apple does not sell to replace internal storage.

-You can often find storage on eBay and other places. However, isn't that all in storage for some MacBook Pro model will work in the Mac Pro is much slower. One way to tell is that the MacBook you do not have a heatsink on them while the Mac Pro.

-You can buy external storage Thunderbolt. To access only a disc both an external case USB 3/disc is about as fast as Thunderbolt. Can get pregnant using the portable 2 1/2 standard SSD

-I did not all the posts here for the use of DB on an external drive.

  • Add/Remove components error and DVD driver error: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Original title: Add/Remove components error and DVD driver error

Yesterday, I removed several components of windows to attempt to clean my cpu. After the reboot, I noticed that my DVD drive disappeared. I tried to update the driver but told me I have the most updated version, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drive, but I still get the same error. Under Driver Details, it shows that I have a lot of drivers for my Phillips DVD player. However, the status of the device is the following: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. I've done the troubleshooting, and the two options has not fixed the problem.

Then I tried to add windows components that I removed, thinking maybe that was the problem. However, when I try to add them, I get an error message that says: 'Setup cannot copy the file zClientm.ex_' it shows the location of this file as being in windows/i386, and of course, the file is located in this folder. So when I go to browse to locate the file, I find and click on it to open it, but I keep getting the same error message that the file is not found and Setup cannot continue.

I realize that this problem seems very rare and weird, but any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Vista Ultimate on HP DC 7900 Mini lathe, always charge readers of cd rom and dvd rom.

I installed Vista Ultimate on a HP DC7900 minitower. Clean install on new hard drive. Have no cd and dvd rom installed on the same cable (ide).

It is on a small network of three computers, 1. XP 2. Vista Ultimate 3. Windows 7 Professional 4. HP Laserjet 4000N 5. Router DLink 825.

No other computers have this problem.

Since the first day, when the computer should be slowed down and in fact is in mode 'sleep', the tasks of the computer (seeks?) first the dvd rom and cd rom drives. I can only describe as a ratcheting noise. It lasts only a few seconds, but takes it approximately every 20 minutes.

I installed all the updates for Vista on a regular basis, of which none have eliminated the problem. He did it since the day that I install.

The only way to stop the problem is to stop the computer everyday and restart the next day. I can't let it run all night. When I run all day, if I walk more than half an hour, he start "multitasking" records rom again.

Anyone has this problem next to me?

Thanks to all those who may have the solution.

I could go to Windows 7 on this computer and probably should, but do not have eight hours to spend in the upgrade right now.

  • Windows media player cannot read CDs and DVDs

MS supports says my Player DVD is dead and needs a new drive. So, I just install a new ROM DVD and still have the same problem - cannot read CDs and DVDs.

When I play the CD, I always get the error meessage--(lecteur Windows media a rencontré une erreur lors de la lecture de lecteur de CD en mode numérique...). 'Digital' is selected under the tool-> properties-> device.

When I play DVD, it is frozen my laptop or keep spinning and froze the Windows Explorer and the reader.

I was able to read DVDs and CDs once after a few restart. During playback of CD the WMP abruptly stopped with error message and since that time cannot play CD DVD & more.

So far, I did a few fixs that I found online and nothing wroks:

    * No upperfilter or UpperFilter registry

    * Uninstall and let the laptop automatically reinstall the driver

    * Ms. Fix it gives different results every time I run the fix-(1) detects no problem and therefore no patches have been applied (2) the main media in the CD drive is not readable (same CD has played correctly when using external USB DVD rom)

Can someone help and let me know what that could be the problem and how to fix it! Thank you!

    Hi Amy,

You can read the following article to clear the Windows Media Player database and check if it helps.

You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library of Windows Media Player 11

If you have any third-party media player installed on the system, then check if the DVD player works with it.
