I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and when trying to connect to my Wifi network, I found that the signal from the router was not strong enough to reach the floor, and since I have a laptop connected with a cable that I thought I could make it work like a virtual router. After some research, I found several programs:

I tried Connectify, which did not work. Then I tried Virtual Router, that does not work either. Then, I found this:

And it worked, the network appeared in the list on my phone. Unfortunately, when you try to connect, it got stuck on ' Optaining IP-address '.
I tried to use a static IP address, and even with one put in place, it got stuck on ' Optaining IP-address '.
After that, I have been clicking through the menus a lot and hit accidentally turn off somewhere. Since then, when I try to start the virtual router, it says:
The hosted network could not be started.
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.
I can't find the place where I hit the turn off, and I don't know what to do more :(

  • errors: the host 'smtp' could not be found

    original title: errors

my computer is says the host 'smtp' could not be found. Please check that you have entered the server name correctly.

Topic 'IT' was so hard to find you account 'pop3', server 'smtp' Protocol: SMTP, Port 25, secure (SSL): no, socket Error: 11001, error number: 0x800CCC0D. I don't know how to fix the problem and would appreicate greatly someone to help me.

If your SMTP server is exactly as posted above, it's at least part of the problem because it is incorrectly shaped - that is certain - and usually identifies the specific server (although what you use may be correct depending on the provider).  Also, which seems to be an unusually worded message - which is exactly what he said or hat a translation?

I recommend you to contact your email provider and confirm the appropriate settings for your e-mail program (did you guide step by step it) and see if that solves the problem.  They are generally very useful for settings of accounts properly.  It is probably just a typo or a parameter that is marked incorrectly or checked by mistake.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Unable to send/receive emails, error: the host 'smtp' could not be found. Please check that you have entered the server name correctly.

Is this possible without too much difficulty?

If you use a POP3 account, you need an email like Windows Live Mail client to do. Outlook.com is Webmail.

  • I get an error, "Microsoft Hosted network is not available" when I try to connect wifi for my HTC desire V through the laptop.

I use dell xps 15 laptop in which I use Wired internet.
I want to use my computer laptop wi - fi as a hotspot to use internet on my HTC Desire V for this I'm using connectify software but when I start HotSpot Wi - FI Access Point Encrypted (WPA2) method of sharing is for me the hosted Microsoft network is not available.

Original title: Microsoft Hosted network is not available

I had the same problem and that's what I did on my PC Win7:

(Forgive me if my English is not good)

    1. verification of my network hosted in my driver. I have run the administrator command prompt and type netsh wlan start hostednetwork
    If you get this message:
The hosted network could not be started. The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.

Then you have the same problem with me. It is the next step.
    2. check my driver. Type of command line: netsh wlan show pilot
Then I saw that my support pilot hosted network. If your driver does not support hosted network, I suggest update you your driver or reinstall it.
How FND out your driver and update: Start - Control Panel - system and safety - device (under System) Manager - ECS

    3. If your drivers support hosted network but still will not start, then the problem could be that you do not have Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter (the same problem happened to me). You can search and download. I tried and installed the new card.
Now I have Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter under network cards, in Device Manager.
    4. I tried step 1 and it worked! So I can run my Connectify and this error message never showed even once.
I hope this works for you also.
    Good luck

I get the following error message every time I try to use Outlook Express 6 as my default email: 'the host 'POP3' could not be found.  Please check that you have entered the server name correctly.  "Account: 'POP3', server: 'POP3', Protocol: 'POP3', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 11001, error number: 0x800CCC0D".  I have a Dell Optiplex GX110 desktop computer with a processor Intel Pentium III (996 MHz, 256 MB RAM).  I already know that I have to increase the amount of RAM, but I don't think this is part of my problem.    I am connected to a local network, Verizon (Internet, cable TV and phone package). I run Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1.2600) 2002 with service pack 3 version.  I check frequently that my system is configured to automatically receive all updates for Windows XP more updates from Microsoft.  QUESTION: Is there a version of Microsoft in September 2011 that had something to do with POP3 servers?  Obviously it did not automatically installed in my computer.  I even checked my system twice to make sure that Microsoft was on my list of safe sites.  Please help me.  I really want to use Outlook Express 6 as my default email.

    Thank you!

Method 1: Try to run the network troubleshooter, check the link for more information on the same.

    2. I would assume that you did not have the necessary information to configure an e-mail account.
Call your ISP (internet service provider) or your mail server. Ask them to give you the following:
    E-mail address
    Your user name
    Password
    Name of the incoming server
The name of the outgoing server

Also ask if they can help you set up an e-mail by phone account, or if they have a Web site to show you how.
They might be able to do.

    Hello

Yes, the speed and connectivity of the internet must be consistent for the applications to work properly.

I suggest you create a new user account and checkif the problem persists.

    Create a new user account.

Setting up a new user account is a very easy process in Windows 8. There are two types of user accounts, a Microsoft user account and a Local user account. See this link for more information on the two types of user accounts and how to create them.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-user-account

Try to connect with the user account that is having right of the administrator and check if the problem persists.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please get back to us and we would be happy to help you.

I doubt that the fault lies in Internet Logistics (what this forum is about).

I guess you have a problem with the configuration in your e-mail software (Outlook? Windows Live Mail? you don't tell us). Find tools, accounts or similar and triple to check the settings for sending server.

Go to tools | Options and uncheck the option to send and receive at startup.  See if that takes care of the problem.  He might try to receive before its ready.  Also check your settings under Tools | Accounts and checking accounts are configured correctly.  You can also try compacting and repairing the database to clear up all the weird questions (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and look out for interference of program part 3 (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).

  • I can connect to the local network, but not to the internet

Why in an internet connection, I can connect to the Local network, but not to the Internet.
I have valid IP address and configuration is good.

I recommend you read some threads here in the forum about similar issues.
If this problem occurs using the WiFi network, then check if you can use the connection to the local network.
    Using the WiFi network, you must check if the common WLan parameters are favourable;
Check if the encryption key is right; turn off filtering by mac address, check the TCP/IP protocol settings if it has been set to automatic, disable the firewall settings, rest you WLan router, check if you connected to the right SSID.
