WIDCOMM

The Lego Mindstorms NXT2.0 kit has the following Bluetooth support:

LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT is compatible with the Bluetooth software included in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 and WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software for Windows v 1.4.2.10 SPS or newer.

NXT is driven by LabVIEW, are there plans to make LabVIEw support the XP and WIDCOMM stacks?

Thank you

SSK

I modified the btwusb.inf file in Widcomm 5.0.1.1200 with my own PID and VID (taken from the Toshiba inf file) but I'm unable to install the drivers again.

    Hi Alex

You will be very happy if someone can give you a correct and precise response to this topic. As you know Toshiba doesn't support and test some third part software.

  • Bluetooth Driver R285455 (WIDCOMM) installs on Win 7 x 64 E6410

Try update Bluetooth driver Win 7 x 64, Dell Wireless 375 on an E6410.

Driver package runs and almost at the end, before a "1935" error dialog box appears and restores the entire package.

Something to do with MS VC 8 policy.

Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening and how to proceed?

    TIA

I was also running in error from the first post.  I tried to install the redistributable vc80 on mine, but that did not help.  However, uninstalling the Widcomm software and then install the new, we got things for me.  Still, Dell reported an error, but it was another & things now seem to work.  And, above all, my Bluetooth mouse now works again!

  • How to activate Widcomm (Broadcom) bluetooth API in Skype.

I posted this on the Skype support forum:

I have a similar problem on my new four-core 64-bit Windows 7 desktop. After months of trail and error installing and uninstalling the Broadcom bluetooth software and work support for the manufacturer of my dongle bluetooth 4.0, I could narrow the problem to have something to do with the Microsoft Net Framework 4 client and Net Framework 4 extended. The extended part of the software is allowing the hands-free bluetooth, bluetooth remote control, the profiles A2DP and AVRCP to work.

After several weeks of frustration, that Microsoft finally came out with a Net Framework 4 diagnostic and repair tool, which has greatly improved the situation. My creative WP-350 bluetooth headset finally works but not with Skype.

So now I really need to know how to turn on bluetooth three APIs is Skype for the helmet works during Skype calls. I have only a single enabled API that is, Bluetooth Headset Helper.exe who, as well as the two others located in the folder of Widcomm bluetooth. The other two API controls which must be added (and activated) are BTStackServer.exe and BluetoothHeadsetProxy.exe.

I'm running the latest Broadcom (Widcomm) version of the 6.5.1.2700 software

It took several weeks of downtime in uninstalling and reinstalling Net Framework 4 (customer and prolonged) as well as the software Widcomm (Broadcom) but I think it wasn't until I downloaded and used the Microsoft.NET repair tool I can say that the eccentric bluetooth functionality in Windows 7 has finally been more stable. Now if I can just activate the three Skype API (Microsoft product) it would restore my faith and continue my love affair with the PC platform. I have three other workstations that I use on a regular basis with none of the challenges SMEs bluetooth who gave me this new desktop image I7 PC.

Thank you very much if anyone can help me solve this problem (I don't think that Skype support is as savvy).

    Hi widcommbug,

Yes, things are getting wild here... I Don t know why.

Maybe I can help you, here's what I did - and it worked:

    (1) I ve have uninstalled all versions of the bluetooth software widcomm with uninstalling windows program in system tools.

    (2) I ve restarted the PC

    (3) I ve cleaned the registry with a tool (I do not count on any, I ve used registry mechanic, which is the same as Norton Utilities 14 - but it works more or less)

    (4) I, ve downloaded the latest version of here widcomm Bluetooth software:

    http://Forum.gsmhosting.com/VBB/f237/WIDCOMM-Bluetooth-driver-6-4-0-670-a-1197332/

Click on "deposit files", and basic get the Lenovo widcomm bluetooth software 6.3.0.7000 version that is the same

    like the original widcomm bluetooth.

    (5) download.

    6) extract in a folder

    (7) only use the Broadcom_Bluetooth_6.4.0.670.exe file from zip archive. Drop the rest.

    (8) if basic click this file .exe only basic get some weird screen all filled in?, for basic use in a different way:

    (9) Broadcom_Bluetooth_6.4.0.670.exe interested once more to a folder and then click on the file setup.exe

Then the software will install correctly.

Well, it of weird, agreed. I found it only a few tests. Remember, this software is a leak of Lenovo, but

This is the last version I found, it's 100% Widcomm Bluetooth Software.

Here you have prove that Widcomm:

It does not provide the latest software of bluetooth widcomm for free, but only for the laptop manufacturers.

WIDCOMM doesn´t give a unique index on this policy on their personal home page seem to be

unimportant for Widcomm - and still no change with the update bug in this software really poor.

But no way of me kid.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • How to remove all of the Widcomm / Broadcom driver files without afecting Windows 7

WIDCOMM/Broadcom Bluetooth does not connect to any device. I tried troubleshooting, uninstalling and reinstalling in various ways, including Revo (Revo search all installed files if installed with it, which wasn't my original case), without success. I want to clean the computer of any trace of the driver Widcomm/Broadcom again restart. As know, there is no way to remove all of the Broadcom driver files (sounds similar to drivers who need specific applications to remove their display files). I also need to clean the registry of this batch of Broadcom entered and port settings. Unable to set the permissions of port settings to delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\BTHENUM and the BTH

The search for answers, I couldn't find any thread containing any viable solution or confirmed to fix Broadcom Bluetooth on Windows 7, but on an old thread there is a tutorial by Shinmila: witch would solve my problems, as described. He points to the guilty finding drivers and remove them. According to my experience, there is no need to reinstall the driver on remains stale. However. I'm not sure that any of these drivers will not need to Windows. I tried a few things from her tutorial without result. Shinmila link to the support site for Widcomm is no longer valid, and I couldn't find any support he...

    Where my questions:

    1. Can I safely delete all files found by searching on its method 2?
    2. How to clean the ports of registry and other settings?

I am open to all ideas and suggestions which put me using Bluetooth, but from my experience, I believe that. as for the display drivers, I have to have my PC without remaining driver files and settings. Thank you for all provided assistance.

The only reason why you could not delete the key \services\BTHPORT is because you don't have the appropriate permissions on some of its underlying subkeys, specifically you didn't have all the permissions on the subkeys of \BTHPORT\Parameters\ExceptionDB\VidPids.  I have no problem taking complete control over the underlying of the subkeys either directly or by inheritance and then removing the key BTHPORT.  Regarding PsExec switch-s allows him to start a process under the guise of the system account where you can pretty much do as you please.

If the old drivers from Targus gave you problems, then I suggest that you use the latest drivers for Broadcom, of course, you won't know this they solve your problem until you try them.

  • Where to download bluetooth stack for laptops Toshiba not

It's very fustrating because Toshiba said they sell for 29 euros bluetooth software that runs on computers laptop toshiba no usb connection or bluetooth internal modules.
    I can't find anywhere?

I need the software Toshiba bluetooth on a laptop from another manufacturer that has software Widcomm bluetooth probably from the internal card that is in it.

How can I do this and why is it so difficult.

    Hello

As far as I know the distribution of end user license is + * suspension * + right now.
This means that the unlimited Toshiba BT stack can be used on Toshiba computers laptops and devices only.

Non-Toshiba devices are supported for 30 days.

  • Dialing through bluetooth responds 'No Carrier'

I have a Dell Lattitude D620 with the Dell wireless 350 bluetooth module internal market - running the latest drivers Toshiba "Dell".
I use bluetooth to link to a phone "nokia" mobile then set up a virtual com port to the phone, I have a remote data collection application which will then call to a remote modem and collect data using the modem of your mobile phone.

This process works perfectly fine on my old laptop "a dell inspiron" using a bluetooth usb device, but does not work on the new laptop - software application even same phone.
The connection between the new laptop and 350 and the phone works fine and I can explore the modem in the mobile phone using 'AT' orders but when I try to dial - the modem returns the message "No Carrier". Not matter what I try the phone accepts the number dialed the number and will immediately respond "no carrier".

Strangely, my old laptop would dial ok using the same mobile phone? the only difference between the two is the bluetooth module and drivers - the new configuration used D620 drivers Toshiba (v 4.00.22) and dell 350 where - as the old configuration used a key USB DLink and Widcomm bluetooth drivers.

I think the problem is the driver of toshiba not send introductory or security code on the phone so it cannot launch a data call - but it's my last thought after having tried many things to fix this. That the driver widcomm is the Toshiba driver isn't?

If anyone has any ideas or experience with respect to this problem - please help.

Try to configure the connection DUN via Bluetooth settings "Express" Mode. It configures automatically adapted settings. Your error message occurs if something is wrong with your settings to access remotely and additional orders, phone number and so on.

  • Micro Bluetooth

I associated my earpiece/headset Bluetooth with my system Windows 7 x 64 (Bluetooth Dell Wireless 375, latest WIDCOMM drivers).

When I select the headset as a source of speaker for Skype, the sound comes through very well. However, when I select the headset as microphone source, it never works and the sound fails as well.

The problem appeared to be with my WIDCOMM Bluetooth drivers. An upgrade of the driver (who himself has caused me hours of grief) fixed the problem and I can now use the microphone.

  • General bluetooth connectivity issues phone & mouse with Windows 7

    Hello

I had a lot of difficulty trying to connect my bluetooth mouse and the phone to a new installation of Windows 7 64. It is not a Toshiba PC but the Toshiba stack is the only one that I can get my phone to connect with now and this seems to be a forum active bluetooth hoping there might be some bluetooth here experts who have answers or at least can point me in the right direction.

I found a lot of people on google which seem to have similar problems, but after hours of searching and trying allsorts it doesn't seem to be something close to a final solution - only a variety of trial & error solutions that look they have worked for some people but not others.

In any case... I have a mouse of laptop from Microsoft 5000 and a mobile PHONE Nokia 2330, I've already had TWO drivers bluetooth windows standard and connected together with no problems at all on my laptop Dell D620 (with built-in bluetooth) and also my old PC using a cheap no brand bluetooth dongle.

Two of these computers were running XP (that's the problem I would say haha - why didn't I I never 'improved' for Win 7?)

So after a fresh install of Win 7 64 I also got first wired mouse and works very well and on the other hand the phone on and works fine via Nokia PC Suite. It worked perfectly until a few days later I found that the phone wouldn't connect (mouse doesn't always work well).

In Device Manager there is an "unknown device" named ' device Bluetooth Device "" which is the phone I think, but Windows can not find the drivers for this device.

    So I tried now following...

Disconnect and reconnect the dongle (in different USB Sockets)
Making sure the phone and the computer are set to discover
Change the bluetooth support service manual and not automatic
Change the service to support bluetooth in the journal on as the Local System account
Unpairing the phone with the computer, but it still won't detect it again.
The dongle of uninstalling and reinstalling

By this time he had met on the website of Nokia showing what batteries are compatible with the software PC Suite - it does not say what the PHONE has, rather that software, but I can't even phone to connect with Windows.
    32-bit editions and 64-bit Windows 7:

IVT BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack, versions of the drivers 5.0.5, 6.2.227.11 and 6.4.245.0

    > But then found that this happens if you try to use it with material not Toshiba. Although she is supposed to be a 30 trial and what past 1 hour after installation?

    You know what?
Find BT base of knowledge here on the Toshiba EU support page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

There is an area of the Knowledge Base where you might find interesting FAQ How use BT

I read that BT stack can be used only with the module BT Toshiba or Toshiba BT material.
For other materials BT only a 30 days trial version is available.

  • Toshiba Equium L40 10 X Bluetooth stack - evaluation will expire

    Hi all

Help, please! I tried for centuries get a bluetooth stack that works with all the different devices and programs that I use (I've tried Widcomm IVT, Microsoft,...), but nothing helped. Finally understood that only Toshiba, duh! I have a Toshiba Equium L40-10 x (note this does not come with bluetooth hardware then I use a dongle).

I installed the Toshiba stack and it's amazing! Everything just works! Bravo Toshiba... just not yet, because even if I'm on a Toshiba laptop (download page of warns him that it only works with Toshiba laptops or it runs out after 30 days), it is still only the trial version and will be completed in a month. Presumabley it's because I have a dongle rather than hardware built-in bluetooth?

It is, as I am legitimately it runs on a Toshiba laptop, I get the full version, happy to pay I just need to know where!

If you have something to offer advicewise please do!

    Thank you all,

To be honest, it should works on your Toshiba laptop without limitation in time.

  • How to manually uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack?

Hey there, I have a problem with uninstalling the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack v4.00.20 on my laptop Windows XP SP2. Whenever I choose to remove the "battery Bluetooth for Windows by Toshiba" (or "Bluetooth HID Switch Service") the installation program starts to prepare, but crashes after a few minutes - the only way to continue is to turn off the laptop. :(

The same thing happens when I try to update the stack to the latest version - the installer says that the old battery has to be removed first and crashes after trying to remove it. So is it possible to remove it by hand? I really don't want to reinstall Windows because of this.

The reason why I want to uninstall or update the stack is because my Jabra BT620s headset does not work with it. I can connect and use it as the headphones (the music quality is good enough), but I can't use the built-in microphone. It works with the Widcomm stack but with this one I have quality problems.

    Thanks in advance.
