TRIED TO INSTALL WINDOWS 8, BUT CANNOT INSTALL DUE TO BROADCOM BLUETOOTH SOFTWARE!  Help!

I use a Dell desktop XPS 8300, CPU Intel (R) Core i7-2600 3.40 GHz, 8.00 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium Svc Pack 1, 64-bit OS.

I decided to install Windows 8 and got stuck when he says that I can not continue until I have MANUALLY uninstall the Software Bluetooth Broadcom on my system. However, I CAN'T FIND it!   I checked device, including hidden items Manager and there is no evidence showing Bluetooth.  When I try to click on the shortcut icon (to configure Bluetooth), I get a window that says Windows Explorer has stopped and he is looking for a solution but found nothing.

There is no listed software is the list of programs and I can't find it in the Add/Remove Programs area.  After much research I found two items:

    btstackserver.exe c:\program Widcomm software\btstackserver.exe and also

    BTTray.exe c:\program Widcomm software\bttray.exe

I'm not either of those of any place where I can uninstall (or install them?). They do NOT appear in the program list.  I did, somehow, get the Bluetooth symbol to appear in the status bar and tried to set it up, but he kept saying that my Bluetooth was not lit.  I don't even know if I have the Bluetooth on this computer!  (and I don't really like, I would just get Win8 installed!)

I thought to delete the folders above, but do not think that that would solve my problem and probably it would be worse!

If anyone has any ideas that can help me, I would be sincerely grateful for it.   I have been trying now for about 6 to 7 hours and will leave for the night.  Maybe tomorrow will bring more luck!

Thanks much for any help!  If I missed something in this explanation of the problem, please let me know and I'll try to clarify the situation.

Sorry for the late reply. A week was very busy.

Looks like a pretty messy situation.

I suggest you only to contact Dell to see if they have information.

A search revealed a pretty scary incident (which is supposed to be fixed now),

but there may be other problems that Dell knows and can help you.

It is probably possible to find a way to uninstall manually,

  • How to uninstall Broadcom Bluetooth software that vanish not

Hello, my situation is similar tothis issue for Windows 7, except that my OS is Windows XP SP3. I recently realized that I made the mistake of buying a Bluetooth adapter and install the Broadcom/Widcomm Bluetooth stack driver software. Now that I know that the software is not good, I want to uninstall it. Then I installed the Toshiba stack for the Cirago adapter. Now, when I double-click on the setup.exe file that is provided with the Cirago driver, nothing happens (it does not start the installation program).

I tried to uninstall all the drivers Bluetooth pre-installed in the Device Manager, and I don't see the remains of all Bluetooth drivers there.

    http://picasaweb.Google.com/LH/photo/2NAos6BP9UigPtJKaYRGyQ?feat=DirectLink

But I don't see that the small Bluetooth icon has not changed:

    http://picasaweb.Google.com/LH/photo/kbxgPP8ZLxhjX4ob2YjSew?feat=DirectLink

I don't see anything on Bluetooth, Widcomm or Broadcom in Add/Remove programs. I do not see any folder called Broadcom or Widcomm in the Program Files folder, either. But I don't see that Broadcom appears in the registry regarding Bluetooth, as shown here.

    http://picasaweb.Google.com/LH/photo/hWDo-OzB8ApibzeHA_saxQ?feat=DirectLink

I've also renamed all the files in C:\windows\inf which starts by "bth" so that it ends with ".old".

What should I do now to completely wipe this Bluetooth of Broadcom persistent my computer software?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Method 1.
It is possible that the device is hidden in Device Manager. You have to click Show hidden devices in Device Manager, and then uninstall it from there.

  • Implementation error "the application BTTray.exe does not able to initialize properly" soon after connecting to Vista Premium 32 bit. Same error when you try to connect to Citrix, "the wfcrun32.exe application could not initialize correctly.

On my laptop Dell Studio 1555 with 32-bit Windows Vista Premium (with SP2), as soon as I connect, I get an error "the application BTTray.exe does not able to initialize correctly. Click OK to terminate the application". Then another pop-up window appears the error information. After awhile, it prompts you to close the program. This happened since I updated the Bluetooth Widcom software from the DELL Web site. I tried to uninstall the software and put it back in place for the DVD that comes with the laptop. But that did not help.
Yesterday, when I tried to connect to the remote Citrix server, so I was able to work remotely, I got the same error for the software Citrix, "the application failed to initialize properly wfcrun32.exe. Click OK to complete the program." Then another pop-up window appears the error information. After awhile, it prompts you to close the program.
My colleague, who also has a laptop with Vista home is able to connect to Citrix without any error. He said he did a lot of configuration changes in the security features in vista.
Is could someone please help me get rid of these annoying errors?

  • BTTray.exe - T410 system error

    Hi all

After doing a clean install of Windows 7 Pro x 64, I ran the tool drivers and updates from Lenovo to get all the correct drivers and tools for my system.  After installing I started getting the message "Error in the system - BTTray.exe" "the program can't start because BtBalloon.dll is missing on your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. "I deleted the Bluetooth Device Manager driver but Windows reinstall on reboot, and I get this dialog box every time I start.  Despite this message, I always get the system tray icon and can continue to communicate with Bluetooth devices, so it is more an annoyance than a problem of breaking.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Matt

I think I found a solution (but perhaps not the most ideal solution). I went in programs and features and uninstalled the driver Thinkpad Bluetooth data improved, restarted, and the error disappeared. I still have the Bluetooth icon so I guess it's all working fine now off the standard Windows drivers.

  • BTTray.exe

I get this error message after I start my pc. BTTray.exe - application failed to start because wbtapi.dll is not found, reinstalling the application may fix this problem. I do not even begin to know what wbtapi.dll is, where can I find to reinstall?

    Hello

    ·         Since when are you facing this problem?

    ·         Remember to make changes to the system?

BTTray.exe is for Bluetooth products tray bar process. It gives you easy access to the configurations and settings for the Bluetooth products. It is not an essential process, but is necessary for the proper functioning of the program.

If you don't want the process to load at startup and then, I suggest you to turn it off and see if the problem is resolved.

  • Impossible to install the Bluetooth software

    Hi all

When I tried to install the latest version of the Bluetooth 12.0.0.3600 for my T430s software, the installation will stop at the end with a Chinese error message. I would like to attach a screenshot of the error message, but can't seem to find any possibility to attach on this site.

So now I'm stuck with the driver that windows installs by default (12.0.0.10). Whenever I start the laptop, I get an error message btwapi.dll missing. There is no Bluetooth entry in ' Control Panel / programs and settings ", so I can't uninstall the old driver manually. A new habit to install (probably because the old is there and damaged.

Someone has any suggestions how to solve this problem?

    Thank you very much

Thanks for your comments. I finished setting up the laptop from scratch. The first thing I did after installing base was to update the Bluetooth drivers and it worked without problem. I suspect that the culprit was the ThinkPad Bluetooth Laser Mouse. When I updated the Bluetooth software before installing the Bluetooth mouse, I was able to update without problems.

  • BTTray.exe - system error

I get this message to each start saying I have a problem with... not found btwapi.dll. I use a program to register, but he does not know this message. Their help is to remove the Bluetooth program and reinstall it. I can't find any help on the HP site. Running Windows 7 Pro. What are my options to get rid of this error message?

    Hello.

Download Revo Uninstaller from the following link and install it.

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-freeware-version.php

Start Revo, right-click on the icon of your bluetooth software and click on uninstall.  During the process, you will be asked to remove entries from the registry, select all and click on delete.  Do the same for the left to files and folders option.

    Restart the computer.

Find your Bluetooth Installer and extract to the content using a program such as 7 - ZIP.  Inside this new folder, double click on setup.exe

If all goes well, this should install it correctly,

    Best wishes.

    • Recent changes made to your computer: just updated to windows update
    • What have you tried to solve the problem, I tried to look at Windows Update and also send mail to Microsoft

Read the following article to see if it helps to solve the problem: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?c=us&dl=false&l=en&s=gen&docid=6CF68D431EAAB41BE040AE0AB6E16686&doclang=en.

Are you still using the BTTray?  If this isn't the case, we can solve the problem in a more easy way.

Go tohttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all.  Search bttray.exe or mfc80.dll and when you find it uncheck the box to prevent it from start to start.  Check the entire list as there may be several entries.  When you're done, click OK and restart.   The message should be gone.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • [b] Satellite M30 bluetooth software - works no-advice needed! [/ b]

My SM-30 has a bluetooth software. Before that I never used it. I reformatted the laptop and I now want to use the laptop to connect to the Nokia 6230 phone via bluetooth.

I downloaded the battery Bluetooth on the site of toshiba, but when I run the Setup in 56 percent complete it asks me "to connect the bluetooth device" OK or cancel. I don't know what it means for the legacy plug-in. I simply press OK - it gives me the possibility again and again. cancel - the Setup stucks.

If means the device is the phone, its bluetooh is enabled.

What should I do? If someone can advise?

    Am I missing something obvious?

Or will I be super dense today?

    Cheers for any help.

If I understand correctly, you used the recovery CD from Toshiba that was provided with this laptop. You didn t use a restore CD that has been created for another series of laptop. Am I wrong?

I ask because the fact is that the laptop should work perfectly, without any trouble after using the recovery CD.

Are you sure this isn't a hardware problem?

Well, I wonder why you are not able to reinstall the OS using the recovery CD if the hardware is ok. Really strange what s

You have an original CD of Microsoft XP?
If so, use it. Format the HARD drive first, delete all partitions and try reinstalling the operating system from the CD of XP Ms.

    Feedback would be appreciated.
