WIFI disconnects often HP Pavilion Notebook of 17-e020dx

Laptop HP Pavilion e020dx 17

Well, my previous post has disappeared.  Maybe it will stick.

My wifi disconnects several times a day.  All other days the wifi adapter cannot find any router signals at all. It has been happeneing since.  I dropped the HP support because they never fixed ths issue and now the warranty has run out.  In any case, I can get along by turning the Wifi turned off/turned on when he leaves the connection and restarting the laptop when the adapter fails completely.   I hope this helps someone.  Number of messages that a new adapter resolves the problem, but HP will not approve a.  Naturally I won't buy HP again.

I don't know which driver you have installed or what operating system you're running, but parts of her list of States your model comes with a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg / n 1 x 1 WiFi adapter.

Specifications of product for your laptop says it comes with the W8.

Most of the people have updated to the free W8.1 through shop Windows.

If you have a such update, here is the link to the latest version of the W8.1 driver for your model that is newer than what's on the support page for your model.

Maybe Realtek finally worked the bugs out of wireless driver.

The Pavilion M7-1015DX laptop I is equipped with a RALink RT5390R 1.1 802.11b/g/n wireless adapter.  He would go only to 54 Mbps until I found a link to RALinktech to get an updated driver which allows me now to get 150mbps.  But this is only half of what I can potentially get with my router.  I did research on the other card options wireless adapter HP with 'compatible' with this laptop.  As far as I see it, all are the same.  They have only max to 150mbps.

    The listed reference numbers are 655795-001, 675794-001, 657325-001 670691-001.

I need a replacement of the wireless network card that can achieve 300mbps using 802.11n.  All HP part numbers I listed are capable of 300mbps, or are there others that I can look at and buy?

With or without the bluetooth feature, no matter, I just need 300mbps talk to my router NetGear dual band.

I had the adapter wireless Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 works with the correct drivers now on this series of portable M7.

Also note: it's just a card Intel Centrino ordinary, not the ch (from what I can tell) and without a label to the HP part about this number.

HP had the pilot throughout their download section of this wireless card.

The installation may or may not be delicate on your end.  It was for me and the package would not install right.  Go to the real folder that it expanded the installation files, and go to the win7\S64\Install folder and run Setup from there.

The installation takes a few moments, so be patient.  If Device Manager is open, you will see the detected devices and appearing as the drivers are installed.  Once installation is complete, you'll see a map of Bluetooth radio and at least 4 new entries under Network Adpaters.

I am now running at the full 300Mbps, on 2.4 Ghz and can easily connect to 5.4 Ghz on my router Netgear Dual Band, but at 54 Mbps.  (But I can probably change the channel on the router and get a faster connection speed.)

I strongly suspect that the 6230 model is not the only one who can work on this laptop, as the driver of HP is not specific to what model numbers of the adaters wireless Intel Centrino Advanced-N, then you might be able to run newer models, since we now know that this series wireless adapter is in the white list in the BIOS.

Looking at it, said I have signal strength 'Excellent' and suggest a way to fix the connection I have power cycle router or connect to router... I tried these things and they do not repair, the only thing that makes the restart... that wouldn't be a big deal, but I have to do more than 10 times a day.

  • HP Pavilion notebook f114dx 17: integrated or shared video card

I use a software house and landscape on my new HP Pavilion Notebook.  Often, it seems to freeze so I called the software company to find out what could be the cause.  They told me this: their program uses a dedicated video card.  If my laptop (notebook) integrated or shared video cards their software will freeze.

How can I know what are the video card in my laptop?  I have read the data sheet on my laptop that I just bought 07/01/2015 and I'm not see (or understanding) what graphics cards are in my laptop.  I have also bought/downloaded software house/landscape the same day.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hey @brop ,

Thanks for responding to me. I see that the software is 3D which might have some concerns about the graphic or video card. You must ask the Punch! Home & Landscape Design 17.7 support if you can lower the graphics on this software to low or medium. You laptop has Intel HD 4400 graphics card with up to 1792 MB total graphics memory. Here's a document on improving your system. Closing off Live tiles on the desktop will help performance. As closing any open programs you don't use.

  • p189sa: HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p189sa Downgrade from Windows 7

    Hello

I bought this laptop HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p189sa with little window 8.1 64.

I didn't know the poor performance and 8.1 window issues.

Although I tried this OS, I want to downgrade to a reliable operating system and best quality.

    Why change?

-L' network wifi icon is not working properly, when I change the network disables it in itsalf and it is impossible to solve it it then I have to restart the laptop.

    -L'interface is orrible

-Sometimes the phone takes hours before turning off or I never turn off

It is longer so the reasons why I want to change this OS not usable and hostile.

The downgrade problem is drivers that are not available on the hp Web site.

Can I use the drivers wind8 for wind7?

Maybe a program can adapt to drivers for wind7?

I am not able to develop pilots by myself so what do you suggest?

    Hi Paul,.

I installed the Realtak you gave me and Bluetooth works properly now.

Just to let you know that the Synaptics on the repo of hp drivers cause a crash on wind7. I used the drivers on their site here .

The laptop looks good for today, I'll do some tests of regression during these days.

Thank you Paul for you support.

    Kind regards

  • Pavilion Notebook-13-b203tu: best practices for the notebook support

    GDay,

I just bought the new pavilion notebook and read it work on the user manual: "the computer does not use the battery when the computer is connected to an external electrical outlet with a certified power adapter or a device of mooring/extension option." (hapter 6 p36)

I would have my battery for laptop in good health and live longer than possible, my quest is that I have to unplug the AC adapter when the battery indicator displays 100% when charging using the laptop? or just leave the AC adapter plugged in, as it is stated on the manual.

    Thaks a lot.

    Hello

All smart batteries and chargers are smarter than we thought. When disconnecting the power supply, use the battery and at the end of the day battery needs charge cycles more.

My comments (I mentioned several times on this forum): leaving batteries and machines 24/24 on the AC at the end of two years, their batteries are much better than the ones pluged/disconnected every day.

    I hope this helps.

I try to keep in touch with the wifi of the company.  This is the only laptop that has this problem.  The work of the fine Dell and all the books of Mac work fine.  You can even, connecting the system have no problem with a strange assortment of portable, none of them HP.  I wonder why?.  The built-in Wifi does not worth a darn.  I could manually disable and connect a cisco usb wifi adapter and connect and stay connected throughout the day.  Why my build in wifi usually stay connected.  I downloaded who knows how many different drivers trying to make this thing work.  I hate having the USB that comes out when the laptop when I should have good working wifi connection built in.  I downloaded the HP Wizard and it says the drivers are up-to-date.  That am I missing other than HP put a sucky wifi card in my new laptop 1800 dollar?

I read on a thread somewhere on this problem and I'm not. I think it was in reference to the Realtek adapter.

The person said to go into the advanced settings (click on the device in Device Manager > Advanced tab) and change one of the settings listed in b/g/n and b/g.

If there is no such parameter, try to change the channel on the router to 1 or 11 and see if that helps. Maybe you get interference on the channel that you use and this particular card is sensitive.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15p204tx: Realtek RTL8723BE does not

    Hello

I was faced with a problem with my Realtek RTL8723BE wireless card for more than a month. After using it for awhile, I am unable to connect to the internet. The connection status indicates "No Internet Access". After you run the troubleshooter, it says "one or more network protocols are missing on this computer." This problem won't recover unless I have to reboot the device.

To solve this problem, I've updated the software device driver to version 2023.23.1030.2015 and even after the update, the problem seems to persist. The only way that I am able to connect to the internet using the Ethernet cable.

I tried several methods over the internet to recify the question and nothing seems to work. I tried to run the

    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

After fixing the registry as shown in the video https://youtu.be/G3DpeeXLSDM , but it did not work. I also followed all the instructions in the video https://youtu.be/HJyBaP3AC74 and the problem persists.

Now when I run the troubleshooting software, he says that he was unable to identify the problem. Now, I'm completely unable to use WiFi on my laptop. I would be grateful if you guys could help out me!

    Thanks in advance!

  • Library/documents being filled with everything that makes my computer. HP Pavilion Notebook PC g4

I recently noticed a lot of curious files accumulate in the library/documents area. It seems that my computer is found, even things that seem to come from the hard drive. I noticed this when I go to download on the internet. Can I delete such things without risking to mess up my computer? And how I have difficulty or stop this? What this has to do with my internet crashing more often?

HP Pavilion Notebook PC, Windows 7, 64-bit g4. Can't think of all the changes made before it started.

The files were not download, they were only being indexed and a shortened link , added to the library so you can access the files easily... a bit like the icons on the desktop to open programs. Yes, it's good to remove the shortcuts now.

Read the articles in the links I posted above if you want to learn more about the library folder.
