Wifi windows 8.1 Y580 fall

Hi, I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1 and it seems that my wifi kept dropping and I'll need to disconnect and reconnect to make it work again. Everything works very well with windows 8. No idea how I can fix this problem? I tried searching around, but nothing seems not to work. My WiFi adapter is Broadcomm. Help will be very appreciated. Thank you

Solved by using rather older drivers. Thanks anyway.

  • EliteBook 2530p. Can not turn on WiFi Windows 10

    EliteBook 2530p, Windows 10 home

Ive just upgraded the machine above 10 win 10 with the help of this site. Everything works fine except one thing, I can not turn on WiFi.

The orange LED on the touch screen under the screen and the front edge of the machine are both orange and when I try to use the touch screen to turn it on nothing happens.

All other keys work fine so I don't think that's the problem. I don't know another way to activate the WiFi on this machine.

The WiFi card is recognized in Windows 10 Device Manager and I have re-installed the card and made sure the antenna cables are properly connected.

Anyone had similar problems with WiFi / Win 10 works is not on this machine model?

    Any help or advice appreciated.

    SOLVED

I'm frustrated, trying to get the WiFi works because it is a machine I was in the process of selling and I had no user file to worry about, I decided to clean install Windows 10 and re - install Windows 7.

I did this and load all nessasary drivers but no matter what I did the WiFi refused to turn on. I did several searches and HP Wireless Assistant who got the status of 'Wireless LAN' was OFF but the Start button is grayed out so I couldn't activate it.

While remaining in the wireless Assistant I hit the WiFi button on the touch screen and a message appeared telling me to unplug my Ethernet cable. As soon as it is unplugged the button power on in the Wireless Assistant has become clickable and I was able to turn on the WiFi!

So it seems that if you connect an Ethernet cable to this model of HP, the WiFi system is disabled and the only way for him help is by unplugging the Ethernet cable.

I think I'm going to stick with Win 7 because I'm still not sure that the wireless card is supported under Win 10

Sometimes it runs about 2 or 3 hours, but it then freezes and stops.

Help, please. I search the Web for solutions, and none of it works for me.

    Z580 corei7 8 GB.

The apears problem after trying to update to windows 10. Then go down to 8.1.

Trying to get Windows 8 and update to 8.1 even once, but the problem still there.

    I've tried everything.

But the only thing that's worked for me was manually unplug the adapter inside my laptop wifi and connect again.

  • Problem of L440 WiFi Windows 7

The adapter (Realtek) WiFi was working fine until recently. I have a home router and almost 5-6 devices (different operating system) to connect to that. My L440 was be UNPLUGGED to a range of specific time during midnight, and I could not reconnect. However he used to reconnect automatically and all my downloads have been completed in the morning.

To resolve this problem, I searched the net but have not found a concrete answer. Then I removed the driver and reinstalled. Since then, the network disconnects (if not disconnected, it shows a limited access) every now and then. It doesn't not that automatically adjust. But if I use the option of troubleshooting, Windows is able to fix it by resetting the WiFi adapter. It was a real pain to get through this.

Note: I tried to use the router LAN with the same cable and it works fine. All my other devices (connect to the same router wifi working fine all the time).

    Hi Wantrahul,

If you reimage the system then I suggest to run thinkvantage system update tool, it will find all the latest drivers for your system.

  • No wireless networks not found on laptop - the WiFi windows service does not work on this computer

    Hello

I have a laptop model Toshiba P205-56347 running Vista home premium and a lynksis WRT54G V8 router model.  The WLAN light is solid and the internet light flashes on the Linksys.  I have Comcast cable as my ISP.

I've seen reported similar problems.  All of a sudden my wirless acess stopped working, some networks are displayed and I get the message 'windows wireless service does not work on the computer.  I am not able to restart the windows wireless.  I can't connect to the internet on the laptop.  I have a DELL PC and can access the internet here if necessary.

In the network and Discovery Center, I see that network discovery is disabled.  I can't set it to on.

Under system devices, I have the following network cards: Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN and Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS6.0).

Help, please.  I'd appreciate any help.  I need a good starting point for resolution and wouldn't start using suggestions that corrects other issues.  I design financial systems and purchase online, but I'm not a technical person with regard to updates Vista, drivers, etc..

Thank you! After reviewing the responses to similar problems, can anyone suggest if I should try one of the following values: 1. run SCF/scannow at the command prompt I don't know what that's going to fix it and do not want to make the current problem worse. 2. download the driver for the network drivers. If you would be grateful if someone could help me find the driver and download it. 3 reinstall Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 since the restoration of Toshiba CD I would appreciate greatly any information. Donna

    Hi blondswede,

You can try running sfc/scannow to see if you have corrupted files. That won't be a further problem on your pc. After that, you want to make sure you have the latest drivers for your laptop, especially drivers of the NIC (network card). Go to the following link to Toshiba for your model and download those:

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/modelContent.jsp?CT=SB&OS=&category=&MOID=1757721&RPN=PSPB3U&modelFilter=P205-S6347&selCategory=3&selFamily=1073768663

If you're still having problems, and it has recently emerged as a problem, you can try to restore your system to a point in time before the problem started to use the system restore. Here are the steps to follow:

      1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
      2. In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
      3. In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
      4. Click Finish.

      The System Restore tool

If the problem you are experiencing started occurring recently, you can use the System Restore tool. Using this tool, you can restore the computer to an earlier point in time. The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  • Printer wifi Windows 7 will install, but not print.

    Hello

I have a problem with a previously working printer Lexmark Wifi and my laptop Lenovo. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my printer was backing in the print spooler after printing a single page. If I rebooted my laptop spooled printing will automatically display, and I am able to make an impression more (single page) before I have to restart again. I finally got fed up and removed the printer and recharged through the Add Printer Wizard. Now, I can't print at all. The printer is selected by default, not to display any errors when I run the troubleshooting, but test pages do not print. I tried to download the latest drivers from lexmark, deleting and reloading the printer through the wizard several times, reset between the two and nothing. We have a second laptop with windows vista connected to the printer, and it has no problem printing. It has been implemented in this way for several years, without much trouble.

You can try to uninstall the software using this tool and then put it back.

  • The WiFi Windows 8 will turn off intermittently.

Original title: wifi turns off aspire v3 atheros windows 8.

I have a brand new acer aspire laptop v3 - 771 g-6851. Atheros ar5bwb222 wifi adapter. the WiFi will go off intermittently. Windows diagnose connection program cannot find a problem, however, the wifi connection is restored once he finishes detection. After some tests, I also managed to understand that whenever the connection is lost, I can simply activate flight mode, and then turn off again, in order to get the wireless card back on and restore the connection with my router. I have a laptop windows 7 and a macbook pro laptop, both connect to the router with no problems. I used windows update to update the driver for the atheros card. Then, I went to the acer website and downloaded their latest driver and installed (version oct 2012). Having still intermittent disconnect every few minutes. Sometimes 3 minutes, sometimes 10.

I wonder if the driver of the card wifi atheros and windows 8 are having communication problems. Alternatively, I could have a faulty wifi adapter? Or is it a magical driver out there? Is this a known problem that can get fixed with SP1 for Windows 8? Recommendations?

    Hi Benjamin & Jeffrey

I had exactly the same problems with my Acer Aspire V3 - 771G with 8 Win x 64 installed.

The same Driver Atheros von too.

After trying a week and a half after the hours of work at home, I had a last option

before sending the new laptop back in Services.

I is gone from Acer Support & downloaded the latest Bios Update and the pilot

for the Wi - Fi adapter.

After uninstall of & install the new driver for the adapter, restarted Windows and had the same thing

Problem than usuall, no connection what so ever.

During the week, I tried that Nicolas had written but still did not get far.

Then I asked myself, I should or should not... Because I was so frustrated I installed the most recent Bios Update.

Open windows & whoopie it finally works again.

I hope that I could help with this message, see that there are more people out there with the same problems.

  • 8 limited wifi Windows

I recently got a Samsung ATIV Book 4, which takes place in Windows 8. Just recently I had problems with my wifi connection. Every once in a while my internet will stop working and in the wifi settings my connection will have a mark by saying: it has 'limited' connectivity. Only apps that I downloaded from the internet are Firefox, Google Chrome and iTunes, and I transferred my iTunes library from my old computer via an external drive. I did not anything heavy on my laptop. I searched online and I almost tried everything people suggest to solve this problem, but none of them work. I unchecked the box in the wifi settings that allows my laptop turn off the Wi - Fi connection to save energy. I did the ipconfig/all commands ipconfig/release, ipconfig/flushdns, ipconfig/renew in command prompt command. I've even refreshed my laptop. There is nothing wrong with my router as I have no problem connecting to wifi on my other devices. Sometimes running work of diagnosis and it is said that was my laptop, it's that the default gateway is not available. I could just run diagnostics whenever this problem, but it takes forever and it works 100% of the time. How can I solve this problem? BTW, I'm not a computer person if you can keep your response as simple as possible it would be greatly appreciated.

It could be on the Wi - Fi adapter driver issues, or on the material one could cause signal errors, test your computer for the first dated drivers.

    Hello

    Hmmm strange
First of all make an update of the BIOS, that this should be done if a newer version is available and you have any questions.

You said you did a update check WLan if you used the latest version of the driver
Here you will find the latest WLan driver versions:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

You can also check WLan card settings in Device Manager-> properties-> advanced settings WLan card.
The same WLan channel must be used for the local network and router WLan card.
Check if the MAC address filtering is not enabled in the settings of the router.
