  • If I update Vista 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit, how can I carry / recover the Agency and other serialized software on?

Well my daughter has an Acer (POS) and it came with Vista 32 bit.

I'd like to get this dog-slow Vista 32 bit machine upgrade to Win 7 64 bit.

The problem: I KNOW that it's A CLEAN INSTALL...  How to import all of its programs, products and existing serialized, such as Office 2007, etc.

Is there a method to retrieve all the entries in registry etc?  Call the MS Helpline for the new series/key numbers?

In other words is that this will be one of those, "I want TO NEVER, I STARTED THIS PROCESS' events?

    Thanks in advance...

    Hello dave-tek-nerd

You can try to use Windows Easy Transfer utility. It backs up your data, and your settings. However, for the applications you have to reinstall. Assuming that the Acer system came pre-installed with Microsoft Office and other specialized software, you will need to ask Acer media. To use the Windows easy transfer tool click on the link below. It includes a video tutorial as well as the download link to the tool. Thank you.
  • T61 upgraded to win 7 32 bit Readydrive can not be activated

I have a T61 8889 AD3, updated operating system at level 32-bit form to Win 7 32 bit vista. The foucation readydrive of Intel turbo Memory can not be enabled after the upgrade. Turbo Memory report below:

    Installed Kit: 8.9.2.1002

    OROM status: success

It seems that the readydrive highlights disk, cache because a disc hidden (in anonymous form, GB 6,17) ahead of C: drive.

I try to use the drivers for Vista, but the installation process is always altered; When I put my T61 hibernation, there is no file option of hibernation in cleaning disc as it used to be.

Does anyone have ideas for this?

Good news, my turbo memory works fine now. I reinstalled the system, but the same symptom persists, but I have to solve

    You need to know:

First of all, some people say that allowing to Hibernate will be active readydrive feature, but it doesn't seem to work on my T61 with win7. Several times in retirement, it did not help. Despite readydrive works great now, I do not see files of Hibernation in 'Disk cleanup', unlike the situation in the Vista system.

Second, please check:-> disk drivers Device Manager click on the properties of the drive, and then click strategies, you should see the two options in writing-coching lives checked; You can also see NV Cache option on the right of the policies.

Finally, once readydrive works well, you should see ' Windows ReadyDrive disk Power Savings Mode activated' under the option of hard drive of the advanced settings in Power Options.

    Following steps may help:

    Option 1:

    Download 1.10.0.1012 - 8.9.2.1002 of

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67820

at your desk, then unzip it (do not install). Then find the setup.exe of: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\Turbomem

Click on-> run as administrator. Once the driver is installed, do not restart, and then click Intel Turbo Memory Console, then check both options. Restart

If option 1 does not help, try it please:

    Option 2:

Download the IBM link above 1.5.0.1013 - 7.8.0.1012 on you desktop.

then unzip it (do not install), then find the setup.exe of: C:\DRIVERS\VISTA\Turbomem

Make a right click-> compatibility-> check run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows Vista

Once the driver is installed, do not restart, and then click Intel Turbo Memory Console, then check both options. Restart

This driver does not work with win7 system, then you can follow option 1.

I'm not a technician and instructions above appear simple and reckless, but at least my T61 readydrive feature works correctly now.

    Good luck to you ~!

There is a good chance that bitlocker can challenge your hardware - check technical requirements carefully if you plan to do this - or - for any professional encryption mechanism.

  • A W7 64-bit update can be installed as a clean copy on a new PC, or an earlier version of W7 should there be?

Okay, so here's my dilemma. A few months ago when the use of my desktop PC which had a full version of Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit, I advanced and bought the Professional upgrade 64-bit of the Microsoft Student Store. However, a few weeks later, my computer died - motherboard problem, so I gave out for parts. Last month, I decided to build a whole new configuration with a quad core chip AMD FX, 16 GB of ram DDR3-PC 2100. I also put in 2 hard drives SSD and a player regular 3 TB and lots of other goodies. In any case, I realized then that my version of Windows 7 64 bit upgrade is just that - an upgrade, which means I have a previous version installed on this new PC to upgrade, because I think it takes the BOOTMGR from the previous version to be upgraded.   However, I remember having seen lots of articles in the past months to be able to make a copy fully bootable Windows 7 for which I could install a whole new clean copy of W7 64 bit on it, despite only having the upgrade ISO. The problem is, I can't seem to find them and do not know how to or if there is even an option.  So in summary: can I use my ISO Windows 7 64-bit upgrade - put it on a flash drive and install it as a copy new and clean Professional 64 - bit of Windows 7 on my new PC without needing a more/less functional Windows version to upgrade-already on this (new) computer? IF SO - HOW? IF THIS ISN'T THE CASE-WHAT SHOULD I DO AT LA PLACE? There must be workarounds!

You said that you had a full version of Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. You can use it as proof of purchase, as long as you have proof of it, certificate of authenticity. In addition, the license must be a full retail version.

If your computer comes with a qualifying previous license such as Windows Vista or Windows XP and the certificate of authenticity is still attached to the machine in good condition, then the COST is reason enough to represent the compliance to the software license agreement. No previous required software installation, which means you can do a clean install with Windows 7 Upgrade disk.

How to do a clean install with upgrade disc:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • HP Envy 17, Win 7 64 bit - how to re - install windows when the old hard drive failed?

The laptop won't boot and drive fails Diagnostics to market. Restore does not work and take the hard drive on the laptop & connection on my desktop I can not access the recovery partition. The laptop is out of warranty.

I have a replacement drive, but as I have no install disc and cannot access the recovery partition how can I reinstall the Windows OEM 7 new hard disk?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If the full 25-character windows activation key is visible on the Microsoft Windows COA on your laptop, you can download an identical iso file from here and install Windows.

Download the drivers from the HP support for your laptop computer portal. Put them on a flashdisk usb (USB key) for ease of installation.

Use the Microsoft Windows 7 USD\DVD download tool and a 4 GB usb (thumbdrive) flashdisk for the fastest and most reliable Windows installation medium.

The value in this way you can have your laptop in a usable state while you wait for your ordered recovery disk.

    Hello

Yes you can install 32-bit software without problem on a windows 64-bit OS. (not supported after 11.1.1.3 2008)
Version 11.1.1.3 most products are still 32-bit (with the exception of the Regional service) so it may be interesting to stick with 32-bit web logic.

  • HP Pavilion 15-N240SE lack of Win.7 32-bit drivers

    Hi dear,

After we have a great day,

Thank you I need your support solve my problem...

I bought 2 days ago HP Pavilion 15-N240SE - Free Dos

And instaled Win.7 32-Bit and can not find my drivers for laptop on your HP drivers for 32 - Bit Support...

I do not have Win.8 now, so any help for missing people readers!

    Hello:

Your laptop is not supported by HP for W7 32 bit.  Computers business notebooks only HP with the 8-series Intel chipsets are supported for 32-bit operating systems.

You should be able to use all the W7 32-bit drivers and software the HP Probook 450 G1, except for nVidia graphics and audio.

    http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdHome/?sp4ts.oid=5405424&spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3DswEnvOID%253D4052%257CswLang%253D%257Caction%253DlistDriver&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

To install the graphics, you must first install the Intel graphics driver, reboot and then install graphic driver nVidia.

I think the W7 32 bit directly from nVidia graphics driver should work for you.

  • Win 7 64 bit Version?

    Hello.

I recently bought a disc of Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium. I have the correct key.

The disc includes service pack 1.

But is listed as: 32-bit software.

Told me on another forum that all disks in Win 7 contain 64-bit software if I do a custom installation.

I have a 2 to 64-bit active image Intel processor. The plan is to install a new 1 TB hard drive, perform

a pure install, then install a Win 10 update.

Can I install 64-bit OS on this disc from the custom Setup option?

    Thank you... Gary

As mentioned, Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit install files are provided on the separate installation media. If you plan to install a new hard drive, you can get the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installation media and then use that perform a clean install on new hard drive using the COA product key.
