Win 7 64 bit Version?

Hello.

I recently bought a disc of Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium. I have the correct key.

The disc includes service pack 1.

But is listed as: 32-bit software.

Told me on another forum that all disks in Win 7 contain 64-bit software if I do a custom installation.

I have a 2 to 64-bit active image Intel processor. The plan is to install a new 1 TB hard drive, perform

a pure install, then install a Win 10 update.

Can I install 64-bit OS on this disc from the custom Setup option?

Thank you... Gary

As mentioned, Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit install files are provided on the separate installation media. If you plan to install a new hard drive, you can get the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installation media and then use that perform a clean install on new hard drive using the COA product key.

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

I never ordered this support, but maybe you should mention it in the order details.

    My new Satellite L500 - 19 X came pre-installed with Win 7-64 bit version.
Also includes a "product recovery Win 7 32 bit" disc

Inside of the package a brochure said:

    Hello

If I understand correctly, you have received the laptop pre-installed with Win 7 64 bit OS.
But you didn t get the drive recovery Win 7 64 bit, but you have a Win 7 32 bit recovery disc. Is this good?

Matt good the case is that the use of the recovery disk will format the entire HARD drive and will erase everything from the HARD drive. This means that you will lose the Win 7 64 bit OS preinstalled.
So if you would not create the recovery disk Win 7 64 bit before using the Win 7 32 bit recovery disc, then you will not be able to go back to the 64-bit version.

Therefore, create the Win 7 64 bit recovery disc at the beginning. So you are safe and can install Win 32-bit and 64-bit when you want.

  • How can I replace an existing win 7 old os version with an OS licensed to win 7

I have a win 7 64 bit pre-installed operating system in my laptop, and I want to replace it with a professional an another win 7 64 bit version. so is this possible or how can I replace my older version with a new operating system version os.

Is the old copy on the laptop of the same edition of Windows 7 Professional or is - this another edition (for example, Home Premium, Starter or Home Basic)?

If its anothere Home Premium, Starter or Home Basic edition, you can use the Windows 7 Professional key and upgrade to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional.

If this is the same Windows 7 Professional edition and all you want to do is license swap, follow these steps:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: slui.exe 3

    Press enter on your keyboard

Enter your new product key and click next to activate Windows 7 Professional.

    -------------------------------

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade from Windows 7 Starter/home Basique/Familiale Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

  • Latest version of Firefox does not work on Win 7 64 bit

Downloaded the latest version of Firefox and installed on my newly built computer Win 7 64 bit. When I click on the shortcut of Firefox, it absolutely nothing happens. No processes appear in the Task Manager, nothing. Googled the question and I tried many patches recommended without result. At a loss on how to fix, Firefox is unusable at this point.

In the case where the program files were damaged during installation, you can try:

    Clean reinstall it

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 41.0.1 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) delete the folder of the current program to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    (C) run the installer downloaded to (A). I'm NOT suggesting it as an administrator.

  • What version of Firefox options do I have to use Firefox on the new laptop running Win 7 64 bit, and how do I move bookmarks current laptop running Firefox 3.5.13 again laptop?

Currently running on the laptop using Windows XP pro sp3 Firefox 3.5.13 and want to move my favorites to a new laptop. New laptop using Win 7 pro 64 - bit OS. I've read too many conflicting reports on Firefox and Win 7 and Firefox works on a real 64 - bit version. What are my choices for a stable browser for the new laptop and what specific version of Firefox is recommended, and the advantages and disadvantages of this suggestion? (I think we can run Firefox 32-bit version in the 64-bit environment, but which is the best choice?) I have not installed Firefox on the new laptop yet and am eager to dump IE. It is displayed for my old laptop. Thank you...

Mozilla working on a 64-bit version of Firefox, but it's a way off. Currently, the only release versions are 32-bit, and the next major version will be also only 32 bits.

I recommend that you install the latest version of publication (3.6.10) available since http://www.mozilla.com/

To copy bookmarks, follow the procedure described in the article restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer to save a json file, you can import (restore) on the new laptop. You can copy more bookmarks, for details, see back up and restore the information contained in the Firefox profiles and backup - MozillaZine Knowledge Base Profile. The last link includes a third-party utility that can make the process easier.

  • Problems with downgrade to 8.1 Win to Win 7 64 bit on Satellite S70 - A - 11 H

    Hello

My daughter already has a laptop Tosh with Win 7 64 bit that is several years old and has seen better days, so for Christmas I he bought a new laptop of S70 - A - 11 am with Win 8.1 pre-installed.
She hates. In fact she won't use the new laptop at all unless it has Win 7 on it.

For people who do not use a tablet or phone Windows phone and as desktop printing Windows 8 machine does not work for us.

Now I am working in a niche THIS role using many OS such as Microsoft Windows (XP, Win7, Server 2003, Server 2008) and Solaris, as well as a bit of RedHat.

Now, my experience of Win8 is equal to zero.
I thought it would be simple enough to install a copy at retail of Win7 with SP1 64 bit on this laptop.
Not so easy as it turns.

When I boot from the Windows 7 install DVD, the installer crashes as the Windows 7 logo begins to appear on the screen. If I try an installation with the latest driver safe mode which seems to load whenever the lock up is disk.sys.

So the question is how to install Win 7 64 bit SP1 on this notebook using a copy of Win7 retail?

Any ideas would be very appreciated.
