Win 7 Recover on Netbook

Sorry if it was taken before but.

I have a HP 5102 (so no DVD/CD player) and I want to upgrade the HARD drive in it.

I understand that if I had a DVD player I would simply create a recovery disc / image system and boot from it with the new HARD drive.

As I don't have a HARD drive, what do I do?, I backed up system image on a HARD drive on a desktop computer, but I can't boot from can I?

Can I just get a big USB drive / stick and place the system on her image and then boot from it?

You can use 2 USB drives?

Thanks for your help guys (just to let you know that the netbook did not come with any DVD or CD.

The netbook cannot be started from a network HARD drive.

The only option to create a recovery disk is to use a 16 GB USB flash drive. Refer to this technical article for steps.

It is not possible to use 2 USB drives.

  • Windows xp will not install on hp mini5101.

I try to install win.xp on my netbook with a cd of hp., when I start computer it begins loadin win.xp.
It loads all the way until it arrives to the microsoft agreement it freezes and the only way is to escape and start allover

The problem is your Mini a SATA and XP installation CD does not natively include the SATA drives...

You could enter the BIOS and temporarily disable the SATA interface mode and do the installation or you could take your current XP installation CD, download the right SATA drivers you need HP and use something like nLite to combine the two to create a new XP installation CD that uses SATA drivers built in (it's the idea of 'better').

After implementing the best idea, you'll have something really useful and you can book your original XP installation CD.

When you did, be even more proactive and also install the XP Recovery as a boot option Console so that in the event that one day your system does not start, you can begin the RC and fix.

Oddly enough, the people of HP have the same thoughts, if you read this thread in their forums:

  • Disk hard recovery of corrupt or missing...?

    Hello

I gave my Acer Netbook to my son this weekend while he could reinstall everything again because I had some problems and he was running like a snail. However, he rang me yesterday and said that it is either without recovery or it was deleted or its corrupted.

That's what he says he did. It's above my head and I do not understand, but he said that might be the community. That's what he said below.

    ==================================================================================================

    MS-DOS

    DISKPART

    List of Volume

Looking in DiskPart there should be at least 4 partitions and there is only 3 so the recovery partition is missing. How it happened I don't know because my knowledge of fathers of computers isn't that wonderful. To him remove a hidden partition that cannot be removed via DiskPart because it is a hidden partition is a complete mystery.

    Volume 0 - C - NTFS - BOOT

Volume 1 - RECOVERY NTFS - HIDDEN (Missing)

    Volume 2 - FAT32 - SYSTEM

    Volume 3 - RECOVERY SYSTEM - SYSTEM

Is there a recovery media that I can buy and reinstalled the operating system. Other than what I could do is own execution in DiskPart and clear as the HARD drive and I have a license Windows 7 Ultimate 86 and 64-bit. I could create a bootable USB drive and perform a clean installation. But I would need to download all the drivers for the netbook.

    * The Recovery partition is absent there is so no viable way to recover the Netbook back to settings factory because it no longer exists. Therefor, the only way of recovering or reinstalling the operating system is to me to either get in on recovery media or I reinstall a new installation of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 which I fired disk so I can install it. But I need all the drivers beforehand, otherwise I would not be able to restore the Netbook to a State of normality.

  • LaserJet 400 M401dw: 10 Windows driver for LaserJet 400 M401dw

Recently upgraded from Win 7 to 10 to win on my HP netbook.  Get the message to Win, stating that my printer driver is out of date, but Windows is unable to download the new version.  Went to the HP website to find and there are three listed.  I don't know which is the right one for my printer.  They are:

1 HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit)

2 HP Universal Print Driver for Windows Postscript (64-bit)

3 HP Universal Print Driver for Windows (64-bit) PCL5.

Plase advise which of them, I need to download and install.

    Thank you!

I think the old driver was a PCL version.  However, given that I print a large number of PDF files, I'll try the PostScript version this time.  Thanks for the quick and complete answer!

  • The user profile Service has not logon.

I just added a new HD and a new installation of my HP Win7-64. I had to remove the disc and go back where I was before the update of the material. Finished with a dual boot? Win Vista - Win 7 (recovered) in the script. When I boot Vista (although it looks like Win7 and says on the screen) I get on ok but when I try to choose the Win7 (recovered) I get a failure at the level of the Office of logon "user profile service doesn't have the logon - user profile cannot be loaded.» The user is "Tom." I look at profiles of properties-user-computer and see C:\users\Tom - C:\users\updatus to-C:\users\Admin. I remove the Admin because it was the only one that Windows would allow me to remove. That did not help the problem of logon. I looked in the registry and see user users\Tom & users\updatus it.  Another road, that I took was advanced system settings. -Prof. of the user and I saw 'by default profile - 14/09/09 - Home\Tom - 11/12/12 & Home\Updateus User - 11/12/12. • How can I connect X 6-7 a Netbook running Windows CE (embedded) with my laptop under OEM Win XP SPK3(32 bit)?

Basically the user manual has no value, and I'm still something of a computer neophyte. Windows Win CE Prompt / Data Entry apparently are explicit, but I'm not doing things. I need a 'real' manual for WIN CE 6.0 user, specifically oriented towards 'Mobile devices' synchronization, using WIN ActiveSync 4.5 of PGM. The ActSync when it is run on cell to the top of the network connection wizard, I do all this, then she said take drive and run even on the Netbook. The Netbook doesn't have / support my USB CD/DVD NSV post. Thank you for your help, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

  • How to recover files deleted from permanentaly in win XP?

How to recover files deleted from permanentaly in win XP?

In addition to monocrisis, you will want to take note of the date to which it has been deleted from the Recycle Bin.

This will be useful when you are looking for the deleted file, as any recovery software will show you all that can be recovered. You will probably have a long list of files returned and knowing that date will help search what is returned by the software you choose.

    Good luck!

    Hello

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

It may be that your hard drive is damaged, I suggest to run chkdisk\r and check if you are able to boot to the desktop. To do this, you must boot into the recovery console, and then run the command.

    a. Boot into the recovery console. Check the steps that are mentioned in the link given below.

Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console for advanced users

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314058

    (b) to fix the errors, look for bad sectors and recover readable information, at the command prompt, typechkdsk volume: /r, and then press ENTER.

I suggest you return the item mentioned below.

When you restart your computer or upgrade to Windows XP, you receive the error message "STOP 0x000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME".
