The text is in German. The bing translation is:
There was a problem on the pc. It must be restarted. some errors were collected, and then restart the computer to run.

(20% complete)
If you want more information, you can search for this error later online: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ndis.sys)

The ndis.sys file is mentioned in your message.

NDIS Network Driver Interface Specification

For upgrade problems could be caused by the software / driver installed on your laptop.
I guess that the question could be related to driver WLan or LAN driver...

Maybe you need to uninstall one of the drivers before you start the upgrade to win 10.

  • Satellite C850-BMK - BIOS update error

Got this thing (http://postimg.org/image/pf0ywplop/) when trying to Flash the bios on my Satellite C850-BMK under Win7 x 64.

    Any ideas?

I m not 100% sure, but I think this version of BIOS is for Win8. European C850 most of the models were shipped with preinstalled Win8 64-bit, but you've got your without an operating system.

If everything works correctly with your Win7 version don t change anything. Not even BIOS.

  • Satellite C850 - when I shut it down it is not off

    Obtained by Satellite C850-19Z.

When I shut down it closed ok but the computer doesn't turn off got to hold down the power button.
I checked power options and everything's fine.

It is not easy to say what's wrong there.
All I can say is that you can test it a bit by using different power options.

Please, test option "choose the closure of the hood." What happens when you set it sleep or Hibernate?

By the way: what operating system do you use?

  • Satellite C660-24F: win 10 BSOD - system thread exception unhandled

I upgraded my Toshiba Satellite C660-24F to windows 10 pro. After the upgrade it restarts again and again showing the dead blue screen with the message
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. (athwbx.sys). How can I get rid of this error?

athwbx.sys which is mentioned in your message, belongs to the Atheros WLan driver...

So, I think that the BSOD appeared because of compatibility problems between the Win 10 and driver Atheros...

    Possible solution:

I think that deletion of the Atheros driver in Device Manager should help you to solve this...

Please keep the device connected to the internet using LAN.

So after uninstalling the Atheros WLan driver and you restarted the laptop, Win 10 should automatically find a driver compatible WLan to internet automatically...

  • Satellite P750 Win 7 update for Windows 10

    Hello everyone,

I was recently offered to upgrade my Satellite P750 (PSAY3E-01K00WY4).

I'm getting confused because of these things. On the list of devices allowed for the Toshiba upgrade I just discovered that my model is not on it.
However, I managed to install Win 10 and use it for about 20 minutes when error "unhandled exception in thread system" approached. Found out that it is thanks to the inadequate graphics card or its driver.

Could you confirm me my device is not appropriate for the upgrade and tell me is there a way to upgrade the graphics card because I really like my Toshiba?

    All the best, Bravo!

You just need to update the display drivers. Download the latest version of Intel/nVidia/ATI (AMD)

    Hello

I am trying to upgrade my old of Satellite Pro 6100.

I started to upgrade the Bios via download from Toshiba (using WIN) site - OK downloaded zip files and installed, machine then stops. Problem, it does not restart - it's so now I have a laptop 'death' that is not responding to any key I tried.

    Any suggestions of resuscitation?

    Hello

It sounds like that the BIOS update has failed and your laptop can start t again. But try this workaround:
Remove the AC adapter and the battery and then wait an hour. After that reconnect the adapter AC/DC and battery. Try to start the laptop.

If it doesn t work I think that the motherboard needs to be replaced or you go to an authorized service provider. Technicians can reflash the ROM module
But maybe you can find a motherboard of second hand cheap on eBay

    Good bye

How to recover or reinstall my Configfree without using the recovery CD.

    Thank you

I m wondering if you used the right and compatible ConfigFree Utility.
It seems you didn t, and so this error message occurred.

    > How to recover or reinstall my Configfree without using the recovery CD.
I don t think you will be able to reinstall it from the recovery CD without having to install the entire operating system because you will find on the only recovery CD image file. That's why it of not possible to extract individual files, the image of Toshiba programs.

If you n t want to reinstall the whole OS using the recovery CD, then you can try putting the BONE to this early time by using the System Restore tool.

    Check it out!

  • Satellite Pro A300-1NT - update of the BIOS has not

Hi, I'm an island here can someone help me solve this problem without sending it to the workshop of maintenance if possible.

I've just updated tempro informed me a bios update. I ran the update, but it froze completely the system (Vista). I waited 15 minutes to show no sign of life (flashing lights or unlocking system) and then I turned it off thinking the thing crashed. Now, it won't turn.

Is there a way to fix this? As it is turned on, it checks the cd player, can be resolved by updating the bios from a cd? Or a flash key?

    Help please :(

Unfortunately, a botched BIOS update cannot be solved only by an authorized Toshiba dealer.

  • Satellite A100-920 - after updating the BIOS, it does not start

    Hi all

I've updated the BIOS of my laptop to V6.0 (excerpt from the Toshiba site) then Windows XP and it went well, then Setup wanted to restart the PC.
But restarts, he won't have in the startup process. I can not access the start menu, or anything else by clicking F2 or F12. But could go the detailed process by clicking on escape. And there I see the following messages:

    Phoenix TrustedCore (TM)
    V6.0
    Version.Mak - r1.53
detects the dual core [email protected]

No TPM or TPM has problem.
    1023 M system RAM passed

    And that's all.
I can not get older versions of BIOS, and I couldn't find the version of the version 6.0 update that I could put on a CD for an another BIOS update.

Anyone has an idea on what is wrong? And if you find that it's to do with version 6.0 and I need a previous version, please could you send me the installation files that are necessary to do the update via a CDROM.

    Thanks for your help.

It is unclear to me that you can do the BIOS update using CDROM. The BIOS updates are designed to be done under operating systems. Old traditional updates have been a little different.

In any case, it seems that the BIOS chip is damaged. I can imagine this downgrade can help but where to find the old version. I know you can get it from the authorized service provider. they have access to the database of Toshiba and they can download the old version of the BIOS.

The download page is just the latest version available.
Contact the nearest service and ask for help.

I had the problem titled with two new laptops. The first after less than 3 months of use... HP has finally replaced it and in less than 24 hours later the replacement began to do the same. Now I'm at square one. The case manager for that matter (that's happened since January 2015) wants me to go through all the procedures of same that I lived with the first (which took 3 months, by the way) before contacting him again.

Countless telephone calls, technicians taking my computer three times sent in for repair to come back with the same problem and not once they TRIED uninstall and then reinstall the operating system.

Seriously... is there anyone who knows if it is a problem of HP or Microsoft, and how can I get HP to fix it? I have seen the complex examples long on microsoft of people having the same problem but different notebooks... I really don't understand why I should risk trying to do this on mine when it's A BRAND NEW? COMPUTER

Any help would be appreciated... Thank you

BTW: At this point, I had just downloaded itunes, firefox, adobe flash and a few books of any audible official websites.

Hello, I had this problem and for a year with my Toshiba Satellite laptop. According to me, that it has now been fixed.

You can read my post about it here: http://allaboutboats.blogspot.com/2015/05/toshiba-satellite-and-bsod-error-system.html

To make a long story short, I got the BSOD when using Firefox. I disabled the "use hardware acceleration when available" in Advanced Options and things that crashed 4 times that night worked OK then.

I thought it was just a problem of Toshiba

Hello out there!  Bought this machine at a pawn shop, HP seems another good charity that cannot get updates installed and that is all I want to do right now - knowing that I did a restore system first and made a recovery (ithink) cd and I see that a lot of the system drivers are disabled (don't know how do to light and cannot find material to read) that I'm sure is a simple solution for you, but for me - OH MY - thank - you, Vista 32-bit sp2

How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

You can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
