Win 7 Support for Intel 865 G (HP D530 SFF) graphics card

I recently upgraded my HP/Compaq D530 SFF model (small footprint) Pc in XP - PRO on Win - 7.  The upgrade was easy and went smoothly.  Update Windows automatically updated the driver ADI AC97 Integratd Digital Audio to worm 5.12.1.5410 and the driver Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet to worm. 10.100.0.0, which are listed by HP as Win-Vista certified.

Unfortunately, it didn't automatically update the driver for the hardware Intel 865 G chipset motherboard graphics.  Instead, it installs a Microsoft "generic" drivers VGA game.  My D530 SFF special is a 2.8 ghz P4 hyperthreading, but according to the HP "Drivers WEB site" (for XP), all versions of the HP D530 has the same graphics hardware. so, my exact submodel should not really matter.

Windows 7 runs strong (at least as well as XP) on this beautiful little PC.  In three days, it has generated NO 'system' or 'application' error log.  Win-7 notification Center, however, annoyingly tells me everytime I open a program of specific graphics of Win - 7 (even the game of Solitaire) that my video card is running in "software rendering" mode with NO hardware acceleration.  Even the Solitaire game runs very slowly, but it runs without error.  Microsoft "DirectX Diagnostic Utility" indicates that DirectX 11 is running correctly on my PC and it can't find ANY error.  It indicates (as I already knew) that hardware acceleration has been turned off.

I tried to run HP softpac "sp31335.exe" to load the version "6.14.10.4396 has ' graphics drivers running on this PC when installing XP.  The softpac ends before doing anything with a message that says "Unsupported OS."  Because softpac graphic drivers are supposed to be 'XPDM"consistent, I suspect they will probably work with Win - 7 (even if they are NOT supported by HP and may have some minor problems).  In any case, I would put a "restore point" and give it a whirl.  What I have to lose, because there is NO data or programs installed on this PC (clean install).  In the worst cases, I just reload Win - 7.

My problem: I can't go to the version "6.14.10.4396 has ' graphics drivers because of Installer softpac (i.e."sp31335.exe").  Is it possible that I can bypass the message 'NOT supported by the OS' and get the graphic drivers to install anyway?

Update: I solved my problem.  Even if HP has structured its executable program SoftPac (sp31335.exe) so that it will not install the version of graphic XPDM driver 6.14.10.4396 on a HP D530 with Windows 7 operating system, Intel made this driver available on its WEB site and is available for download. ZIP format.

During a search, however, I found a newer version of the Intel driver and installed.  The Windows DirectX Diagnostics utility reports NO errors and hardware acceleration has been turned on.  In addition, 96 MB of memory is allocated to graphics.  I ran for a good week with graphics performance at least equal to what was previously done under Windows XP.  Data for this download are the following:

Intel (r) 82865G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)

Apparently, Intel provided this driver to Microsoft for inclusion on the installation disk of VISTA to 865G family support (and other).  I extracted the following excerpt:

Q3: Intel provides drivers for Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 (Intel GMA 900) WDDM on platforms based on the Intel 915 Express chipsets?

A3: Intel will provide support for WDDM drivers, starting with the Intel® 945 Express Chipset family and beyond. See question 5 below for a detailed explanation of the WDDM support on platforms based on the Intel® 915 Express chipsets. However, Windows Vista is supported on the Intel® 865 G, 915 G Express desktop PC and 852/855 GM chipsets chipsets mobile running XPDM (XP Display Driver Model) driver included on the Windows Vista install media. Windows Vista will install on these platforms, but advanced features such as Aero in Windows will not be enabled as XPDM drivers do not support Windows AERO.

  • Support for Intel Iris 6100 graphics card

Hi, I was wondering if Mercury playback engine and other GPU functions would be supported by this map:

    Intel Iris 6100 graphics card

The card is part of a laptop with Intel Core i7-5557U CPU processor.

I know it is not officially on the list of GPUS supported, but the Iris Graphics 5100 is listed under "Windows OpenCL' support.

If it was to work with the support of the OpenCL, which would still be much less efficient than using a card GeForce with CUDA? I am currently using a GeFOrce GT 630 M.

    Any advice much appreciated!

Finally, I saw, he had problems with the graphics card intel and software adobe. If this has changed, perhaps someone chime and correct me.

I suggest getting a more powerful processor and chart than the laptop i7-5557U you are looking at. a core i7-47xxxx or 67xxxx-i7 with gtx 965 4 m will be much faster. something with 16 GB of memory and perhaps fall in love 3 and/or usb 3.1 gen 2 (10/gb). Some will have a ssd, a few steps, you can also look in 3.1 usb samsung ssd of t1 or t3 or add your own in-house if the laptop supports upgrades. some of these laptops will start around $1 k, to near $1. 5 k with more features.

  • Very good work for Satellite A100-207 equipped with a graphics card

    Hello world

most people know that graphical embedded or the graphic fight shared with high-end gaming. Well I'm pretty much playing pro Evo Soccer 6 on my pc at home with an old Prophet 3d geforce card. Now, imagine my surprise to play on my intel A100-207 standard work.

It was far less detailed, but when I plugged an external monitor to the laptop even better.
Don't know why, but this game shouldn't turn it on at all.
I am very happy with the model indeed.

    It's nice

    Hello

I can only confirm your suggestion. I have another laptop Satellite but it also supports a shared memory graphics card. Many games run properly on it. Of course, I have to change the level of graphical detail at a lower stage, but it works.

I think that sheared memory cards are not really bad. Many applications heavy performance (games) run correctly, but with a little lower graphic details.

  • Memory allocated for mobility radeon on Satellite A100-768 graphics card

Hello, I am french and I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-768,
graphics memory of my lapto is like this:

Graphics processor / vendor: ATI Mobility Radeon X 1400 HyperMemory to 512 MB - PCI Express x 16
Video memory: DDR SDRAM - 128 MB
Maximum allowed size of RAM: 384 MB

I am looking for the location of the adjustment of the exclussive of 384 MB RAM) I want to change this amount (in fact it is 384 and I want to reduce to 128 or 0 in order to keep only the 128 MB) I looked in the bios and I found nothing

Thank you and excuse my English

    Hello

    It is not possible.
As far as I know, you cannot change this value manually.
The graphics card controls the HyperMemory and assigns this value automatically.

If you want to have more RAM (main memory) and then update the modules of memory on your laptop
    2 GB (2 x 1024MB) are recommended.

    Good bye

As you can see in the screenshot, virtual disks name ends with "...-000003.vmdk" which, most likely, is a snapshot. Given that the virtual disks with snapshots are used as a string, you cannot increase the virtual disk to the virtual machine, but had to delete all the snapshots in order to increase the virtual disk of the virtual machine to base.

  • support for the improvement of a dc7800 sff with a QC 8400

    Hello

I bought my HP DC7800 desktop from a broker who got a point on HP desktop computers get a bankruptcy in 09. Now I got a copy of Vista Business x 64 and 4 GB of ram DDR2 of Z OC-)

Hello AnthonyK, I did a little more research and found this interesting information.

It seems the E6750, the E8300 and E8400 CPU both have a thermal basis of 65 watts TDP.

In other words, that they are built on the same core process, with speeds just different.

Intel seems to have been able to reduce the thermal power of these processors with the 45nm.

Your current E6750 has a current draw slowed 123 watts total system power consumption and a current draw stressed 163 Watts.

The E8300 has a current slowed to 128 watts system appeal total current consumption and a current stressed 158 Watts.

The E8400 has a current appeal slowed 131 watts total system power consumption and a current draw stressed 158 Watts.

What are the limits of your current processor.

I don't think that an improved power would be necessary. These processors, since they will perform at higher speeds, can create a little more heat, but if you clean the system completely when you change the CPU, you should be fine.

Sometimes a BIOS update is required when the processor is upgraded. Here is the link where the BIOS can be found if your system requires a. You can first check the BIOS and see if there is a newer version available.

    Just some thoughts.

I like Nvidia cards, but before you do anything, I would like to know what Nvidia cards are compatible with this machine, so I do not buy something that is not compatible with the motherboard. It is a machine under windows 7 (64-bit).

There are only two or three compatible cards which are a step toward the top of the motherboard, I would also some tips that we could give me the biggest gains.   I guess that the compatible cards will be a few years old may therefore be able to find some deals out there.

    Very much appreciated.

    Hello

You have only 300watts SMPS without upgrading the SMPS, I think that would be the best GT 630 (Kepler) so it is much better clock memory and more than hearts cuda compared to the 530 GT.

  • looking for a HP Pavilion p7-1045-compatible graphics card

Hello, is there good compatible with my HP Pavilion p7-1045 graphics cards? last time I installed a graphics card (which was a 750 GTX), the computer freezes at the blue HP screen and starts to beep 5 times only and turns off. power was not a problem, since I managed has replaced my power of 250w with a 600w.

then there all graphics cards right? my budget is about $150 (in Canadian dollars). Thanks in advance

You are right.  The VBIOS hybrid will work with a standard BIOS and UEFI.  However, the length of the card is 9.84 ".  I am not sure that it will not go in the space provided with good air circulation.  You can make a model of the size of the card to see if it will fit.  I would like to apprceciate hear the result.
