Win 8 upgrade and Express Gate

How this will be achieved with ASUS Express Gate.  I have an ASUS Eee PC 1005 HA Win 8.  In this implementation, Express Gate is autonomous and does not seem to create it's own partition.  He did install Dual Boot.

Yes, Express Gate will need to be reinstalled.  Yes, it will be set up (or try) Dual Boot.

Please note that assessment 8 WIN makes no mention of Express Gate.  It is perhaps a good sign.

The upgrade from WIN 8 will tolerate this.  Even XP is not fast on this little guy so express gate allows quick searches on the internet.  That, the Excel and Word viewers is all about the this bug is needed to.

The other candidate to win 8 upgrade (Vista) uses a different version of the Express Gate.  In this case, it is evoked through the BIOS switch and the main program is simply Program Files. It should work very probably.

While we are at it.  After execution of the evaluator, will be the low loader know that the 1005HA is 32-Bit device?

Linux start-up ExpressGate does not seem to occur after an upgrade for an ASUS 1015PEM from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 10 via the upgrade from Ms.

Of course you could improve the system of Windows 10.

The material is strong enough to manage 10 Windows.
But Toshiba does not provide drivers Windows 10 for this series... so it might be possible that some features of the laptop (keys FN, etc.) would not work properly...

Please note that Windows 7 Release Candidate is a preliminary version of Windows and should not have has been used as a release candidate.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

  • Win 8 upgrade to Windows 7: users do not need to reinstall the drivers and application software not?

    Hello

I'm fascinating to read entire article on upgrading to win 8 to http://windowsteamblog.com/windows/b/bloggingwindows/archive/2012/07/02/upgrade-to-windows-8-pro-for-39-99.aspx

A part of the article reads; "You will be able to upgrade a version of Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro single-station and along which includes your personal files, settings and Windows applications"

My Win 7 Pc has MS Office 2010, Antivirus, MacAfee, PC Dell drivers and other applications. This means that I am not required to reinstall all that software? that is, it will be automatically postponed to Win 8 OS.

If this is the case, it will save a lot of time, effort and downloading of costs during the update of data.

    Thank you

  • 700 - 281eo envy: RAM upgrades and guaranteed

    Hello!

So I have a question regarding the upgrade of my computer.

I recently had a problem when it comes to my RAM. It seems that 8 GB of RAM is not enough, that I use my computer for (mainly play games etc...), as I had many accidents because of the low amount of available ram (for example 4 Fallout, which uses almost all of it).

So my question is: if I have the RAM on my computer upgrade me a 16 GB Kit, my warranty is void? And would do no matter what kit of RAM, or I have to use strips of crucial ram?

Also on the side in question, if I decide in the future to update my graphics card to a GTX 1060 (which uses 70W less than my current 270 R9) that manages the more wins.

    Thank you for reading!

    @Robert_B

Adding memory wouldn't void your warranty. "Unless you break something, do the upgrade".

You can use any memory manufacturer provided they meet your specifications.

    ● 204-pin DDR3-DIMM

    ● DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) SDRAM memory

    ● Unbuffered non ECC DIMMS (64-bit)

    ● 1, 5V dead memory

    ● 16.0 GB maximum installable memory help

4 GB modules. Actual available memory that

can be used in Windows will be less.

  • Qosmio X 875 - ECO mode does not work immediately after Win 8 upgrade

I used the upgrade Toshiba Upgrade Wizard to Win 8. He succeeded well uninstall the incompatible software before the upgrade and install the new Toshiba and driver versions after the upgrade.

I activated the ECO mode, and to my surprise, it does not work as before (in Windows 7):

    * Now, it works with the brightness to level 1 *... very dark. Before, ECO mode allowed me to go up to level 4 and was always considered in Eco mode...

If I increase the brightness, the 'eco mode is disabled' message opens immediately.

How to contact Toshiba to inform them of this problem and the other problem I found with the new BIOS?

Contact your Toshiba authorized service provider in your country.

_The * 4 means only on models with Windows7 installed _

I guess that the previous configuration was only Win 7.

8 win was made for mobile (use of the Tablet), the energy consumption of battery is also very important plant help to win 8. The consumption of the battery must be taken at the lowest level possible.
So I guess that now help win 8 ECO medium mode and save the power max and long battery life time working at a max level.

Day before yesterday, I ordered again (order No.: 4440124899) but this time another email was sent on my credit card because they could not charge the card so that they are not able to send the Windows 7 upgrade.
In addition, it is mentioned to get in touch with the service the customer in Turkey, but the phone number provided on the page does not work.
I don't know that my credit card works because I order a lot of stuff from other Web sites in the world.

For me, it looks like there are some problems with the credit card.
Who knows what makes you wrong maybe that you have entered the right number or missed something maybe, there is another problem with your credit card
In my opinion, you should get in touch with your Bank and should ask what could be the problem

  • Reinstall Windows 7 on hard drive again with only the Win 7 Upgrade disc?

So I have an e9180t which, like clockwork, freezes after about an hour or two after the boot.  I thought it might be the curse of bad mothers, with what they came, but I hope that it is something else so test everything I can.  I noticed that it does not freeze upwards when it is started in safe mode with network.  The hard drive failed the test SMART so I wonder if it's time to replace it as if that has anything to do with the crash.   I can move the cursor, but no applications will be open and eventually everything becomes insensitive causing be tohit the power button to restart.   I already stopped unnecessary startup programs and it will still freeze in unsafe mode.

The PC came with Vista and I think it's what's on backup hard disk partition.  I have the disk Win 7 Upgrade from HP.  My questons are-

    1. If I buy a new HD 7 upgrade disc will be enough to install the full version of Win 7?

    2. anything else I should do when I install the new HD and more to reactivate Windows?

    Thank you.

    Hi Mike,.

Have you created a HP recovery disk to reinstall the factory image when replacing the HARD drive?

It sounds like you have maybe a problem creating the recovery discs now.

A Smart HARD drive test failure points to a HDD failure. The symptoms you are experiencing are likely caused by this fact. You can also have a card mother or any other hardware problem.

You have the key to drive and Win 7 Upgrade product.

I'm pretty sure that the upgrade to Windows 7 to be launched from Win Vista. The upgrade of Windows 7 is a full installation of Windows, so this isn't the problem. But he can't run the installation unless you start the upgrade in Win Vista. Normally, an upgrade to Windows 7 is launched within the current operating system, Win 7 valid existence of an eligible OS Setup and then request a restart to complete the installation of upgrade.

You can replace the HARD drive and try to install Win 7 itself. If this fails and you do not have the Vista recovery discs, you can buy an HP recovery disc set here. There are three different versions. Select one that corresponds to the operating system that is installed at the factory.

You may have another problem to replace the HDD with a Format HDD advanced most recent. Please see thisHP Supportdocument for more information.

If you cannot install the upgrade Windows 7 itself or Win Vista because of the issue of the Advanced Format HARD drive, you may need to purchase a copy of Windows 7 OEM.

As mentioned in the article, it is your responsibility to facilitate access to Windows 7 Professional reinstall media. He may be borrowing retail upgrade or full version of media or OEM System Builder.

You can use the following utility to download the ISO of Windows 7 Professional:

Microsoft Windows and Office ISO download tool - HeiDoc.net

Instead of replace, you might want to consider dual booting:

How to: Dual Boot Windows 7 or Windows 8 with Windows installed 10 first

If what you bought is an OEM System Builder Windows 10 Pro license, then you can indeed buy Windows 7 Professional.

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

    Full version (retail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

    -Expensive

    Upgrade version (detail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

-Expensive, but less expensive full version

    OEM System Builder version:

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)
