Satellite L755: Win 10 upgrade and good question

Hello

I have two problems with my computer laptop is satellite L755-M1KQ,.

My first question is, can I download windows 10 on that?

my number is PSK2YE-0KQ02UAR

My second problem is the noise in my laptop is not working, not always just some time, please help me.

Of course you could improve the system of Windows 10.

The material is strong enough to manage 10 Windows.
But Toshiba does not provide drivers Windows 10 for this series... so it might be possible that some features of the laptop (keys FN, etc.) would not work properly...

With regard to the sound:
You did not provide many details and if the issue cannot be reproduced, then it will be very difficult to find a solution...
I think you should check if the sound issue is displayed using the headphones or speakers only... also check if you can update the audio driver...

Have a dell e521 that I train and some questions.  Have already updated to 3 GB of memory on x 86 operating system.  Bios version active what 1.1.6 4/7/2007.  Have checked Dells site and they offer a version of bios 1.1.11 released on 04/09/2007.  Having checked their previous versions and mine is not yet in there.  Don't know if I should go with the 1.1.11 version or stick with what is on mine, any suggestions?  Also, I put in a 500 GB seagate HDD.  Have a 80 GB drive there now which is pretty maxed out.  Playing with the idea to put xp pro on the 80 GB and using the programs and storage 500 GB.  I would like to know if it's a good idea or not!  Could use pointers and how much others who have more experience I have of course on my best options for installation.  for performance and features.  Thank you in advance, Ron.

It's sad to say, you should probably have spent your money on a new computer rather than on the RAM and a new hard drive.  Windows XP (you posted in a forum of Windows XP, that's what I assume you have) will be supported is no longer starting in April 2014. This means no more security updates and therefore increases the vulnerability to malware.

That said, your system now-updated can probably support Windows 7. You must run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to check the remaining material.

As you say, Dell does not list the intervening versions of BIOS with 1.1.4, 1.1.10, so unless someone at Dell or in the Dell forums can tell you what "improvements" in your version or with your version 1.1.10, you have no way of determining that. Based on omissions, I think there were only minor changes in these versions.

Normally, I would leave the BIOS alone.  Note, however, that Dell "recommends" 1.1.10 be installed because
The update contains improvements or changes that will keep your system current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software) software.
If you want to stick with XP, I would leave the BIOS alone. If you want to install Windows 7 (assuming that there are Windows 7 drivers for all your hardware), I would Setup 1.1.11.  Be sure to read and follow instructions carefully.

BTW, it's a little surprising that you only have a 80 GB drive.  CNET review of the Dimension E521 said he came with a 320 GB drive.

  • Win 8 upgrade and Express Gate

How this will be achieved with ASUS Express Gate.  I have an ASUS Eee PC 1005 HA Win 8.  In this implementation, Express Gate is autonomous and does not seem to create it's own partition.  He did install Dual Boot.

Yes, Express Gate will need to be reinstalled.  Yes, it will be set up (or try) Dual Boot.

Please note that assessment 8 WIN makes no mention of Express Gate.  It is perhaps a good sign.

The upgrade from WIN 8 will tolerate this.  Even XP is not fast on this little guy so express gate allows quick searches on the internet.  That, the Excel and Word viewers is all about the this bug is needed to.

The other candidate to win 8 upgrade (Vista) uses a different version of the Express Gate.  In this case, it is evoked through the BIOS switch and the main program is simply Program Files. It should work very probably.

While we are at it.  After execution of the evaluator, will be the low loader know that the 1005HA is 32-Bit device?

Linux start-up ExpressGate does not seem to occur after an upgrade for an ASUS 1015PEM from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 10 via the upgrade from Ms.

  • Satellite L755-14Z - CPU upgrade possible?

    Hello

Can someone tell me if it is scalable?
If Yes, what socket number is it, can I put an i7 inside?...

All links to recommend a site to buy any help appreciated.

Thank you for your time and effort should help you
    Ian

    Hi mate

    I agree with Akuma.
Update CPU is very difficult. The fact is that even if the chipset would support the new processor, it is really hard to tell if the BIOS would be able to manage the new processor.

So, in the worst cases, the BIOS will not work with a new game and wouldn't boot the laptop.

But why you want to replace the CPU in L755? This new model of notebook with a good processor.
Even if you want to put a new processor, you will not notice big performance push so I think CPU upgrade is not really necessary in your case.

    By the way;
    Here's a nice Toshiba FAQ

  • Satellite L775D-S7220 = APU Upgrade and speakers

As the title says, I have a L775D-S7220. I have a new APU coming for her.

    The currrent model is an A4 - 3300M. I'll install an A8-3510MX.

I know the increased NT, from 35W to 45W and am fine with that.

My main concern is the BIOS has the trendy 3510 or not so I can just plug and play. If not, can someone tell me where I can get an open or cracked BIOS version to revise it to allow the new chip?

In addition, thanks to my ex, the speakers on my laptop are slaughtered. I can't find replacement ones anywhere. Can someone give me a hand with this as well?

    Thanks in advance!

    >... can someone tell me where I can get an open or cracked BIOS version to revise it to allow the new chip?
We are here on Toshiba official support forum, so I put t think that these things are allowed. Any type of upgrade, except the RAM or HARD/SSD drive, is not taken in charge and everything you do is at your own risk.

What about speakers? Good place to find spare parts is eBay. Check if you can find speakers out there. In the past, I found several parts used on eBay for my older Satellite phone.

  • Satellite C650D - Win 7 upgrade to version complete

    Hello everyone

Excuse is my first post on the Forum.
Advice on windows system 7, I did not completely upgrade the winows demo level 7 when I bought the laptop. I've been using versions of 30-day track, and now I would go completely.
What are the best options guys!

It is unclear to me that Toshiba offers laptops with a demo version of Windows.
Can you please post the whole laptop model name or model number?

  • Satellite A500 - 1GL Boot menu and Hyperthreading question

    OK, I have 2 questions.

The first is on the start menu, one that says Toshiba and a then press F2 for Setup and F12 (I think) for boot order.
Basically I turned off in the menu of the bios so that it would be faster to start up the computer.
But now, how am I supposed to access the bios menu?
Is there a way to reactivate this screen?

    My second question is;
How can disable you hyperthreading in the bios menu?
That's what I wanted originally to make but I couldn't find the option to turn on/off.
All I could find was something to stop the two hearts and make core (which is a bit useless)

    Hi mate

It of not possible to disable access to the BIOS!
You can secure access BIOS with the password, but if you know the password then you should be able to access the BIOS by pressing F2, immediately after that the laptop was turned on!

    Regarding Hyperthreading.
Generally, you won't be able to enable/disable-that if the BIOS does not contains option. But you can check if the Toshiba HWSetup (in Toshiba Assist) would contain this option.

  • Dimension 2400 - two upgrades and two questions/problems

So finally had time to update this old thing.  Did some research and found what was compatible. Bought a ram and a video card. Now since their installation for the most part unsuccessful I have questions:

    RAM

I bought a 2x1GB corsair because I read that 2 GB is the maximum computers. When I install both the computer refuses to start, but with one of the privateers and the original dell computer piece works very well (and much improved, I might add). Every they say 1024Mo, if that helps. also do I need to update the BIOS? After the installation, read this should perhaps have been made beforehand.

    VIDEO CARD

I also bought the nvidea gforce 5500. I followed the instructions to a T with respect to disabling the dell one printer and changed the setting to the start screen.  Then after installing the card and rebooting the machine, I get nothing on the screen.  I read somewhere that this could be a prob of resources? not sure why tho since this thing is also supposed to be compatible.

OK thnx in advance everyone, sry if they were invited to a million times, but I don't see all the answers that helped me understand how to go about fixing these issues.
