Window is off the screen, can't bring back

10.9.5 Mac

Adobe CC 2015

2 monitors (Macbook and thunderbolt display)

When I choose the option on a work plan for "export as" a window off the screen and I am unable to put the window on my screen.

It appears "above" my screen, and I don't see that what looks like the lower part of the window. There is nothing to click on in this window that opens except a zoom interface (that I tried to see if it would help). I tried scaling my display (usually put windows on screen) and I tried to find a way to reduce/enlarge the box but there is none.

Am I missing something?

Think this utility would help? It's free.

  • My dialog windows appear off the screen... Please help

A lot of my dialog windows styles for paragraph, or when I hang items appear off the screen (I see the bottom of the window, but not from the top which means that I can't move them) - suggestions?

    Laurie

I tried the solution as Kipp Ky\'Eva posted, but I couldn't find an option to "Gather Windows" (after I plugged my second monitor, I saw that this dialog box was also off the screen).

I found another solution that worked for me however:

Go to System Preferences > monitors.

    Click on "scaling".

Note the screen resolution you are using.

Change the resolution of the screen to do anything and then change back to your original setting.

For me, that reset the screen with all the windows in their places.

  • View contact details window is off the screen

I have a Setup dual monitor unconventional, while my laptop is connected. It resulted in the window being located far off screen coordinates. I moved the secondary monitor around the screen area to try to locate the window in order to bring it back within the view, but have had no success. I took off to try and find the window but have failed. I have reset the tiara, but this did not bring the window in sight. Tiara is not very practical for my use without this window.

    Hi XGC750

    There are two solutions:

The first is described here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/bring-misplaced-off-screen-windows-back-to-your-desktop-keybo...

The second is to change the file Config.ini from the tiara. You will find here c:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\National Instruments\DIAdem\Version-(user name is a placeholder for your login name and the Version for the current version 2012 for example tiara. Tiara first close and then change the text psosition in the:

    POSITION = 0, 0

    I hope this helps!

  • The mouse pointer & open windows disappear off the screen to the right

The mouse pointer moves beyond the screen to the right and is not visible, as if the office is extended beyond the edge of the screen. Open programs or programs visible on the taskbar sometimes will, when clicked on disappear too out there and then I can't get them on the screen where I can see. If I'm lucky I can get the pointer in the right spot and can drag the back window where I can see it.

I have a 22 "h - d lcd wide screen monitor. Are there settings that I need to adjust or what?

    Thank you

You have a second monitor or a television plugged into the video card? You will need to go into your control panel of the video driver and adjust it for a single screen.

You can also try the automatic adjustment of your monitors.

When you switch from Windows to the other display screens in Photoshop Photoshop close to this State Photoshop remembers where you position palette, picture windows and dialogue.  If you restart Photoshop and the other views are not available. Photoshop can open windows off the screen or partially off the screen.  At least seem be the way to a working windows.  Windows operating system provides means for moving and sizing of these windows.  Mac may also have options.

  • How do you get the menu bar to stop going off the screen all the time?

    2007 IMac 2.4 ghz 4gig ram 1tbt hard drive

I've updated 'ELCAPITAN' and that I was using the preserved menu bar disappear off the screen that became boring and I couldn't find any way to stop the menu bar to go off the screen, so I went back to snow leopard but have updated for osX 10.9.5

with no bar menu to disappear.

The menu bar can be set to hide and show in El Capitan.

In any OS X that implements the full mode screen, the menu bar is hidden in fullscreen.

In both cases, move the mouse to the top of the screen will be un-hide the menu bar.

You can disable the general masking in general system preferences in El Capitan.

For full screen, you can prevent the concealment using do not full-screen.

  • Dialog box style off the screen

While using InDesign full screen (3440 x 1440), the object style dialog box is on the top of the screen and cannot be dragged on because the title bar is also off the screen.  The dialog box cannot be resized (who usually move it), so I'm not sure how to make visible.  Restoration of the app is not help either - the dialog box is still mostly off the screen.  In addition, the Windows key + ShiftKey + left arrow (or one of the arrows by the way) does not affect the location of the upper part of the dialog box, passes just a screen that displays the dialog by mistake on.

The operating system is Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 3 with a monitor LG Ultrawide.

    Thank you

    Richard

    Steve,

I contacted Adobe support, and the winning solution was to detach the Surface Pro 3 and raise InDesign with only the single monitor of 2440 x 1440.  The object Style Options of windows then jump-up in a usable place.  When I brought the Tablet, reopened InDesign and brought to the top of the window, it was still where I left it on the tablet screen and I could drag it to a site that is usable on the external monitor.  Solved the problem, but I think that it a workaround solution.  No app should place a dialog box or the same window partially off the screen in the current context of monitor/Bangkok.  Looks like a tweek for InDesign, go ahead... ;-)

    Thank you

    Richard

  • Program opens off the screen in a multiple monitor on Windows XP configuration

Original title: I URGENTLY need help with an XP several problem of monitor!

Our company has recently migrated to a new office and I got stuck with the displacement of all the computer systems to the new office. To make a long story short, one of our employees use four 4 monitors. After many difficulties, I finally got the monitors working as a horizontal screen with scrolling smoothly from left to right.

However, I have a BIG problem. One of the programs of this employee uses disappears (flies off the screen right most) when maximized. I can bring it by moving to the right screen, but I can't understand how to do that a permanent solution. ANYONE - your help would be appreciated. Is it a matter of swapping the screens? It was rather difficult to get properly prepared screens because it did not meet the order, I tried. Anyway, these people are rare flowers and get bent out of shape, if the program opens on the designated window. Is there a way to specify which window it can open on whether it can be remedied at all times?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Petrovsky9000,

Have you tried disabling 3 additional screens and then by testing the application? If you need help of deactivation and activation of the monitors, you can use the following as a guide:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/Setup/hwandprograms/monitors.mspx

If you always lose the application when the window is maximized, try the following:

    1. With 1 active display, maximize the application.
    2. In the display properties window, set the resolution of the single screen for a step down from where it is now and apply the changes.
    3. Accept the new resolution, and now to see if your application is in the center of the screen.
    4. Now go ahead and set the resolution to what it was and and apply the changes.
    5. Make sure the application is always visible and maximized correctly. If so, go ahead and turn the other 3 views and see if everything works properly.
Here are a few steps that solved the problem for my own systems in the past. I hope this helps!

  • Captivate 7 - Variables window off the screen

When you open the variable window, the window off the screen and I can't bring it back to one of my two monitors (double).  ESC comes to Captivate, but I can't seem to locate and drag the window to the return variables.  Any suggestions?

    I can't reconnect to a third-party monitor (which I used to have).

I assume that you have already tried resetting the workspace, CP restarted and the system?

Try to update preferences, using the Cleanpreferences file that corresponds to your operating system, and that you will find in the Utils to the CP installation folder subfolder. ATTENTION: you will lose any customization.

  • 6.6 keynote opens the window off the screen

Since v6.6 Keynote opens a file off the screen on the first launch, I see the window at all.

I have two monitors, a my MacBook Pro (mid-2012) and the other is a 15 inch USB monitor AOC. BTW and may be connected, the driver for this monitor causes the transformation to fail when it is attached.

As I said, very good spear Keynote, but the file I want to work on is nowhere to be seen on my screen. When I hit CMD-CTRL-F (full screen), the presentation appears, and when I then hit ESC, I see the window right on the right edge of the laptop screen (see screenshot below), which allows me to put on the window and work on the file.

Of course, it's heavy, if I have to do it every time I run the application Keynote. I searched here in this forum, but I have not found anything that could help me. Does anyone here know of a fix for this strange behavior?

Since v6.6 Keynote opens a file off the screen on the first launch,

Make sure you have the latest version of the speech which is 6.6.1

the other is a 15 inch USB monitor AOC. BTW and may be connected, the driver for this monitor causes the transformation to fail when it is attached.

These screens are very useful, but they are well known pose a problem with photographic, presentation and installation of applications on the Mac.

If you can live with this poster failure very well, but if you want flawless performance, you need to use a display with HDMI, Thunderbolt, mini displayport or DVI of the Mac connection.

    Hello

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

    · This occurs when you are working on any specific file format?

    · Were there any changes made on the computer?

    · You play the file in mode full screen?

    Change hardware acceleration

    a. you can try to change the hardware acceleration in the middle and check (you can try another level too.)

    b. right-click on a space empty on the desktop.

    c. go to the resolution of the screen.

    d. click Advanced settings, and then click the "troubleshooting."

    e. set hardware acceleration in the middle. (Here you'll get the only option your video card sound support).

You can also check: you receive an error message of codec or audio plays video but does not play when you play media files in Windows Media Player 11: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926373

  • Windows Vista - stuck on logging off the screen

I have this same problem with Vista Home Premium that others have had.  When I tried to shut down the computer laptop last night, he is stuck at logging off-page - with the active circle always renewable.  After 20 minutes or so I was tired so close by using the power button.  This morning when I turned on the laptop, he went to the same page of disconnection. 3 hours later, it's still there!  My technical knowledge is, to say the least, "limited."  I tried to open safe restart mode and pressing F8, as suggested on other threads, but which didn't work - I can not go beyond the logging off the screen. How can I solve this?

I had the same problem... This method works.

Turn on the computer and when the screen shows recovery Windows press the space key.

You will be presented with 2 options - either to continue with system resume or to remove the Hibernation file and start with primer system - choose the second option - you're fixed!
