  I had the same problem and then I realized that I had already installed the update KB3095133 as a fix.  For some reason, the WSUS server detected that the published update was still necessary.  I think that you can just decline this update or I guess you can uninstall the version "patch" and then let the regular version install normally.

• vCenter Server 4.1 on Windows 2008R2

  I recently deployed vCenter Server 4.1 (build 258902) on Windows 2008R2. I am trying to deploy a number of new virtual machines (all the Windows Server 2003R2 invited) of existing models using a few customiztion specifications prepared in advance. When I get to the comments customization screen in the Deployment template Wizard, I see the message "Windows customization resources are found on the server.

  There are many articles, blog and forum messages out there explaining how to configure sysprep on vCenter Server, but none that deal with 2008R2 and this is a problem because 2008R2 has a structure of different folders for previous versions of Windows.

  I have my models. I have my form of customization. Sysprep is present where it should be in default 2008R2 (C:\Windows\System32\sysprep). How can I put it all together for successful deployment of virtual machines?

  I need to perform a complete system on our UAT server recovery test.

  The current Configurations: NEC EXpress 5800 R120e - 2M

  Hard drives: 3 disks (C:, D: and there by car)

  I tried yesterday but did not succeed.

  Steps.

  I made an image of complete backup of the system on the Y: drive he managed.

  Start the system with bootable Windows 2008R2 CD and select the option system to recover.

  Problems:

  1. Windows could not recognize the discs first and then I checked the NEC Express 5800 manual and found that I need to load the RAID drivers when Windows asks you to load drivers. Pilots were load successfully. It is implemented in the server hardware RAID.

  Fortunately, Windows detects the current installed the operating system but the problem is that,

  Windows detects the C: as H: when installed displayed from the list of operations. I tried then, but Windows could not detect the image backup and eventually abandoned.

  I saw that all volumes on disks changed as follows

  C: drive became H:

  D: the drive became N:

  Y: the drive became L:

  I am not able to understand this behavior. Grateful if someone can provide some insight/information please to above problem.

  I'm stuck at this point and cannot test the full recovery of Windows on UAT system before you try on our environment to Production and DR.

  Finally, I started the normal server and I see C, D, and y drives.

  I have a windows 2008R2 domain controller and a user there are members of the admin. When I log in with that account to a pc windows 7 (member of the same domain), I'm not able to change any setting as properties of lan, uninstall or reinstall all programs.

  I also want to give the domain users only the rights to change the properties of local network (for users of laptops).

• Driver for IBM TS3100 Tape library. for windows 2008R2 and DPM 2010

  I installed DPM 2010 in the edition of Windows 2008R2 STD. I am using the IBMTS3100 tape library. Windows detects the tape device but media changer appears as unknown medium changer. I cannot see the details of the driver for the medium changer and means 'no driver file is required or have been loaded for the device. When I try to update the driver, it says already installed the latest driver for the device.

  Now the question is DPM does not detect the slots in the tape library.

  I have installed Symantec Backu Exec in the same server and everything works fine.

  If anyone has the driver for the device please inform else we are go to Backupexec... :(

  Does anyone know how to use WSUS Server in NAC Appliance. I can able to authenticate the network with the clean access agent. But whenever I used the requirement of WSUS, it passes through the role normal connection temporarily the role for sanitation. I'm using a WSUS server. So it will search the requirement of WSUS, but the problem that I can not able to remedy to use, I received the error message. Should I allow certain network ports to make it work? What are the ports I need to open? Please see the attachment. Thank you.

  When you use WSUS with NAC, NAC agent is to tell Windows Update agent to update itself. Now it depends on the configuration of WSUS on the client where it will go to check updates. If you have configured it for MS servers, it will go to talk with them. If you have your clients configured for the internal WSUS server, it will check with them.

  Greetings. I'm looking to extract files from the Windows Server 2008R2 d:\system\install.win folder. I can access it fine, but can't seem to know what each folder (1-8) matches what version of Windows. In other words, I want to select the correct file versions in the DVD for Windows 2008R2 64 bit.   1. check that VMware VirtualCenter Server service is started otherwise starts pls start...

  2 Vefiry VMware VirtualCenter Management Web Services is started otherwise start pls start...

  3. check that the configuration of the ODBC Data Source (DSN) used to connect to the database for vCenter Server is correct.

  4 Vefiry database are running and all required database services are running...

  I have problems to start some, not all, thinapps go to a remote share, that is stored on a windows 2008r2 file SP1 server. When the same Thinapp is located on a remote share, which is a Server SP2 from Windows 2003R2, they will start.

  If the Thinapp is local to the C drive on a windows 2008r2 SP1 and the sandbox is on %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto that is located on a remote share, it won't work.

  If the Thinapp is local to the C drive on a windows 2008r2 SP1 and the sandbox is local too, that it will work.

  If the Thinapp resides on a remote share, as well as the sandbox, wi will NOT work.

  All work in combination, when the remote server is a windows 2003R2 Server SP2.

  There is a bug in version 4.7 related to forwarding sandbox on a network share.

  It is a known issue and it will be fixed in the next version of ThinApp.

  This may seem a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway if only to assert that, as specific as you where, with what product VMware, OS, host and Guest OS you use however the rest, 'keep disconnect every 15 min,' is ambiguous.

  I'll assume you are referring to network connectivity, however, explicitly and precisely what is disconnected and what steps should you take to reconnect?
