Windows 7 build 7601 shows not authentic
I, too, have problems with the declaration of Windows may not be valid. I have read the posts above (I'm not a geek, very limited knowledge, here) and I ran the scan which was published. One of you people may be able to get back to life again. Any help is appreciated.

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:
OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)
COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone. (Note: all manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

Build 7601 is not authentic?
Hi all... so I'm another person with the error code "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy isn't genuine" I bought this laptop directly from Best Buy - in store - new (this was ish-September 2010), and it came with Windows 7 installed on it. He worked for about a year before she decided to not be more valid. I tried to re - validate according to the instructions of the computer/windows which was given to me at the start but I kept getting the error codes and it kept prompting me to buy another copy of Windows, which I won't do. I read through some of the other threads on this problem, and I want to emphasize that I have never changed the card mother or any other material on this computer, nor did I have any virus here or a remove my scanner (AVG) all wrong virus files (that I know of at least). My laptop being 'not real' is more than just a thorn in my side than anything since everything he does (that I noticed) is change my black background and have reviews of forthcoming pop up every 5 minutes at the bottom of my screen. Still, it would be nice if I could get a remedy to the situation, any help I could get would be wonderfully appreciated. As requested, since the previous discussions, I've read, here is my scan of diagnosis:

After over a year of my Windows 7 Home Premium running satisfactory has decided that it is not authentic.
Its a straight copy preloaded on the phone and has always worked well with regular updates of windows.
I can't get a number from a UK Activation Center or seem to be able to find anyway to contact support?
Help.

Windows has detected a feat of activation. You have a Hewlett-Packard slic table in a Gateway computer. It was put there by a pirates load program. You need to reinstall your windows to get rid of it unless you can undo everything that has been used. -

Windows 7 Build 7601 not authentic on brand new computer
Purchased my Lenovo to Fry mid October 2012. Have already experienced several BSOD right after that MS updates were installed every time. A few days ago, I met several BSOD right after that the Windows updates were installed. On the last BSOD, I get the message Windows 7 Build 7601 not authentic. Nothing I tried as suggested on screen worked, amounts to the same thing. I am a student full time online. Fall semester ends on Sunday, December 16, and I'm way now behind on all my homework back and my final exams in all categories. It does not help and I have not the time to take my computer to Fry for them to take a look. All my data is stored here. In addition, I tried to restore to another time, when you restart the message was still there then I turned off and when rekindled later it had disappeared, but returned for the next day. I tried to restore againn but this time it won't go away. I don't know where my product key is, as it is not on the computer itself. It may be on a manual but I have since moved and had the movers help me and they put things in the back of my storage unit or in boxes not recognized. So until I go through everything in my storage unit I'm screwed. Please help as soon as possible because it's really me screwing.
Thank you
Denise
You install the driver from Windows Update updates?
If so, I would avoid their installation in the future and instead to download any available hardware updates directly from the manufacturers Web site.
I also suggest that when you get a new computer and you start for the first time, you must create a system restore point.
As each new Windows 7 PC should come with a COA sticker that is attached to it, this is one evidence of a genuine license installed on the machine. If you bought it on shelf, its possible someone could have pulled off the sticker.
Always check for a real sticker or buy any of the machine.
It seems that you have bad luck with Fry, FRY well their business and the purchase of another where, there is nothing particularly special to their topic. Try to buy directly from the manufacturer online or try another store, if you live close to a Microsoft Store, you can go.
Sorry for all the problems that you are experiencing, we are just volunteers here who are trying to help other users of Windows.

Windows 7 build 7601 authentic not get error 0x8007041D
Hello
I'm back from vacation Saturday last to find that my PC all gummed up with over 40% of memory used and the following message appears on the desktop:
"Windows 7 Build 7601, this copy of Windows is not genuine."
Up to 3 weeks for the two previous years, it wasn't a problem.
I have buy windows 7 with the Acer laptop to amazon.co.uk 2 years ago.
According to the sticker on the base of the laptop, it is most certainly a genuine copy of Windows 7.
I tried to run the slui.exe but no avail and using the tools on the web that offer Microsoft - validate online, etc., but all without success.
As a simple user, dependent on automatic updates, etc. and very satisfied with W7 until 2 weeks ago I need someone to solve this problem for me.
Here is the result of the MGADiag.exe

Error 'Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of windows not genuine' appeared on my computer laptop office 20 minutes ago. This software is authentic. She started to date, with laptop, gateway. I had this installed for more than a year and its use. It's the first, this message appeared.
What can I do to get rid of the message AND make sure I'm getting good updates of Windows and other forms of support that goes hand in hand with genuine Windows software?
Thank you in advance.

"Windows 7 Build 7601, copy of windows is not genuine"!
I turned on my computer this morning and a casual CHKDSK (happens perhaps once a month, could be a damaged hard drive) has started to perform before as the splash screen, deleting files and recovery.
When it's over, it took ten minutes to load office and messages of the shows "Windows 7 Build 7601 copy of windows" not authentic down to the right of my office with a black background. Also, I opened Firefox and was missing a file, 'nspr4.dll", perhaps because of the CHKDSK command, deleting the fake corrupt file (who does a lot), but Firefox works now.
I looked for a solution as a click right on my computer properties and then going to activate windows, but it says: "not available". I've seen people showing their diagnostic report, but I don't know how to check this.According to Dell, your system is still under warranty - I suggest that you contact and ask a set of recovery discs and those who use instead - you'll need to back up your data to external data first.

Windows 7 Build 7601 not genuine - but it is!
A month ago, I replaced my 5 + years computer's hard drive (an old Dell with Win 7 home premium), reinstalled windows (Yes, an authentic version) and went on my way happy. Yesterday, in the typical fashion of this error, the background went black and I get the small "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" in the lower right corner. I also get popups from Windows telling me to validate my version, I tried and he repeated to me that it cannot validate it. I have downloaded and run MGADiag.exe, with the results displayed below (even if I took the liberty to remove the characters of the product key and the hash key, as I not sure if that can be used maliciously or not). Any help is really appreciated.

Windows 7 Build 7601, now says not genuine after crash
Bought/installed Win7 Pro on my (aging) machine time Jan/Feb & activated product.
After a week away recently, my PC did not boot - just crashed. Last known good configuration did work, catering to the highest point due to a registry restore problem. Anyway, forced the cancellation by renaming config & software in the \system32 folder.
Then machine again, I'm immediately went to Windows update to ensure that it was up-to-date & then had "Windows 7 Build 7601, this copy is not genuine." Had been authorized for about the last 7 months.
Have tried to change the key product & scoring even once again. As well as the uninstall & reinstall it again once, but no change.
I already download Win10 install files when the option popped up; Maybe I should have completed the installation. Although it may have failed.
Anyway, here, is out of the tool of diagnosis of MGA. I hope someone can advise:
Thanks in advance.

GSCI 111108 GMCHSCII spoke with MS support. The representative has essentially kept repeating that the product key was not for home/use; later mentioned he has a license of the company & had been used several times.
However, he had no answer to come as to how is it this had been works well for 8 months & problems have emerged since my start/disk/registry problems.
It takes time for this abuse be detected by Microsoft because it is a Multiple Activation key (a lot of PC have or will have the same problem) that very probably activated too many times (each key has an activation limit)
I also tried to find more information as to where the key was first used / details of other activations (in the case where was my repeated recent attempts during the activation/validation was just suspended); but only repeated representative key is blocked.
They may not know / have a record of when it has been used first.
Y at - it other advice? My Win7 installation has been very recently posted just grab the update Win10 install files; However, I'm guessing that it's probably not worth trying to go down that path right now?
Since you have not a valid Windows 7 key from the upgrade of Windows 10 can install but most probably (but not immediately) detects the invalid key and also go "(Non authentique)."
Of course, if it turns out that I need to splash £100 on a 'get genuine' license then I will - but was hoping to get data confirming the situation [seems that my previous purchase by Amazon will not get any farther].
If this MAK key was purchased by a third party seller to Amazon for their web site at Amazon report. At the very least, they should block / prevent the seller by using their (Amazon) web site.
Or else I'll watch Win8.1 (& get top of what to Win10 update as soon as possible) or Win10 at home; Although I had barely begun to use Win7 XP!
Since you said that you have an aging PC I would stick with Windows 7 (support ends January 14, 2020).
One thing, you can try if you are still interested Windows 10 (after the backup of your important data files is to install Windows 10 via the GWN icon on the taskbar or the media download: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 )
This will tell you at least if Windows 10 fully supports (graphics, Audio, keyboard and mouse, access Internet, etc.) your PC.

Why my computer says "Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine
My laptop is 3 or 4 years and one month ago, it crashed I took it to a computer tech and he replaced the hard drive. Since then he has demonstrated this message in the right corner "Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine". Why it shows this message and how to fix it?
Ask you to gothrough the thread below:

Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine. Once again
Hi all
I have had my HP laptop about 5 years and have logged on tonight and like others, I get the message; Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine.
I have installed new software, but windows has recently completed an update?
I also looked on the bottom of the laptop for the original key code. However, he obviously has disappeared over the years and is now unreadable. Teach me to retain in the future.
That's the diagnosis report I copied and pasted the previous responses, if anyone can help it will be really appreciated.
Thank you the

"Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" and the slow boot after malware removal
HP Pavilion dm4 my daughter recently started to take about 10-15 minutes to start, tell me that he had become infected by something questionable. It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, with AVG free anti-virus.
When we noticed the problem first, AVG has been disabled (probably by malware), and I could not turn it back on. He would not run a scan at all. I have scanned it with Norton Power Eraser and their free bootable scanner, nor identified any problems. I ran Malwarebytes in safe mode, and it found several files associated with Yontoo, which he deleted. I ran ccleaner, including the registry cleaner. At this time, AVG was returned to service, so I ran a full scan with it. AVG found several files associated with OpenCandy, which he deleted. A scan later Malwarebytes came clean.
For now, the system seems to work fine, EXCEPT: there are still a huge amount of time to start - several minutes between each step. And now, the desktop appear intermittently a message which reads: "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine".
I found a lot of discussion online about this error message, but it seems that each of them (which I reviewed) has a different twist to what I feel.
Any suggestions for next steps? Thanks in advance.
Marty
