  I discovered why the player start out with reinstalling windows DVD.
  According to the manual, so that the operating system Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 work, Secure Boot function must be activated.   Have you tried to uninstall the dvd via the Device Manager drive then restart PC to let Windows reinstall? You can do it. If the problem is still there, can give a try? It is a quick easy fix from Microsoft, here is the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060. You need to uninstall all third-party software (example: Roxio, Nero, or iTunes) from your computer before you make this correction.   Hi a few years back, I built a Media center PC Windows Vista worked great! incredible experience recently (2 months ago) I formatted the PC and reinstalled Windows Vista now Media center options have changed and my Tuner card is not be detected BUT if I use the software the camer card it works fine I ca watching TV and recording with no problems

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers twice and today I removed the card and inserted into a PCI slot new nope still does not (sigh)

  I'm suspect that Microsoft updated Media center to stop my card work! or is it because I'm at the Canada and rules are different here and that's why multimedia does not work?

• Windows 7 Enterprise does not start successfully after re - install

  I have just reinstalled Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit with SP1 on my laptop HP 6715 b. (I use 32 bits for any software that I develop is always compatible 32-bit.)

  After you have re-installed however, it does not start correctly. What came with windows announce "Starting Windows", but the following animation never - start the four lights that turn and turn into the "Flying Windows Icon.  It then crashes right there - do nothing, no matter how long wait.

  If I can put the machine power off and re - start, we are at the "Windows Recovery screen" - because it has not started correctly the last time.  From there, I can choose to make a recovery and return to the last Point of good restoration, i.e. on a freshly installed system before the update of Windows, of course.

  If I select "Start Windows normally", it starts however. But it is not 'Normal '. For example I can't finish my "Windows Easy Transfer".  It says that it cannot connect to my domain name - even if I am connected to my area and have been using it to install other software.

  Or I can do a Windows Update "normally". The last time I tried, it is gone for hours without finding what be - so I left it overnight.   My CD-RW/DVD drive refuses to read DVDs, acting as if there is no disc in the drive, no matter what I try. I have not used the machine regularly in a while and just starting to discover this.

  Sounds like a hard drive problem then. Your drive is maybe defective. First of all, you can use the partition of diagnostic Dell (F12) for its determination.

  In case there is a SATA problem, press F2 to enter the BIOS and change the setting of hard disk SATA to legacy. (Might as well try this first.)
