Windows 7 Enterprise N to 10 Windows?

One of my friends asked to upgrade his PC to windows 10. It has 7 business N installed, which is a mystery, as he bought it from BestBuy here in the United States. not sure if it was someone mess with it after purchase. In any case, can get a free upgrade to 10, or should it buy? A link would be helpful if they need to buy and install 10. Thanks in advance!

I really think you need to ask

  • What hardware changes were performed on his computer since he bought it?
  • How & why Enterprise edition has been installed? -You need to know what he could have repercussions.

Is it has not changed the CPU or the motherboard, then it could

  • return to the preinstalled version of Windows 7 Edition family premium and then upgrade to Windows 10, or
  • just install Windows 10 and use the Windows 7 Home premium product key, when the installation process asks you for this [that a full install to make sure this is done properly even if leading reinstall all applications & copying back all its own files].  Windows 7 Home premium product key will ensure that 10 Windows Home edition is installed.

You will need to create a Setup disk Windows 10 using the tool of media - see download Windows 10 you will have to redo this installation disc if you did one before about mid-November as the earlier versions of the installation process only works for one properly active Windows 7 / 8.1 computer.  The current version can work without this limitation and can accept a Windows 7 / 8.1 key instead.

I assume that you have completed the upgrade of Windows 10 checker.  You will also need to get the drivers If Windows 10 default drivers cannot do in the face of all his material dated - see where to find the hardware drivers

Good luck

    Hello

When I define the configuration options and select Enterprise 64 bit Microsoft Windows 8.1, it does NOT appear in the list.
However, Microsoft Windows 8.1 64 bit seems to work very well.
HP is still working on this?

In short, SDM supports all editions Windows 8.1 including Enterprise.

Just to clarify, the operating system is labeled "Microsoft Windows 8.1 64 bit" is supposed to include all the SoftPaqs for all editions and it is one that must be selected.

SO I must to replace both and am interested in the iPaq 211 Enterprise Handheld, to do.

The types of 1945 and my 2795 files are synchronized with the 211 company?  I'm hoping to sync my address book with my new handheldl and my laptop, which runs on Windows 8 (ugh).

I don't want to retype my entire 20 years worth of contacts!

    Thank you kindly,

The data format that is used throughout all these iPAQ is quite similar, so this won't be a problem, but you won't be able to synchronize your Outlook data from a windows machine 8 from windows mobile device Center is not completely compatible with Windows 8 operating system and Microsoft had no intention to make it work.

any suggestions on the drivers to use since Tohiba supports only XP and Vistas both x 86 and x 64 on the [drivers Toshiba download Webpage | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp]?

I'll try to install using drivers designed for Vista x 86 (which I am curently downloading) - but any suggestion expertise in the meantime?

    To fix these:

    (1) download the Toshiba page display driver - I used the pkg of display-en-20080407-162339 and it works fine (I'm on windows 7 64 bit)

    (2) the "mass storage controller" is the controller of the memory flash card - drivers are again on the Toshiba site

    (3) the controller memory PCI driver you will need to download on the Intel site - you want to IATA89ENU.exe you will find in the page of Intel (matrix) Storage Manager.

    (4) this is the bluetooth controller, drivers are once again on the Toshiba page.

    spidy_001

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Enterprise is a completely different animal than other Win10 versions and is NOT intended for personal use, but on the contrary, for commercial use - in situations where the operating system is installed and maintained by the it Department staff.

So, it doesn't have the convenience of restore consumer versions.

And Yes, since you didn't have (apparently) the foresight to make an image backup before installation of Win10, the ONLY way to return now is to do a factory reinstall using HP recovery media - and which erases the ENTIRE disc.

Since you have not bothered to inform any PC, you need to check yourself if HP makes these available recovery media.

It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs. You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update". If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entry and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

I'm trying to install 64 - Bit Windows Enterprise on a new out of the box of 840 G3.   Both on my USB 3.0 external drive I install, but also a DVD burned Windows user.  Both give this error to the Windows installation.  "A required CD/DVD drive device is missing.  If you have a driver floppydisc, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive please insert it now. »

    I installed a lot of 840 G1 and G2 of 840.   I don't understand why I can't install 64-Bit Enterprise Edition (SP1) Windows on it.

    Any suggestions?

    Found the solution!

After talking to HP Elitesupport, I discovered that apart Intel chipset USB 2.0 support theie Skylake chipset.  Sense that normal USB install windows will not work.    Microsoft Windows ISO not the USB 3.0 drivers natives either.   Therefore, add USB 3.0 drivers in Windows ISO.    Intel came through on this one also.  They have a utility that does all the work for you.

Run this and point to your Installation USB support and shazamm!

    Hello world.

Need help to install Windows 7 x 64 enterprise in an EliteBook 840 G3. The installation disc does not recognize the HARD internal disk (in bios is recognized without problems). I ve tried to join the AHCI drivers for chipsets intel in the Windows AIK installation disc trhougt. But the hard drive is still not recognized.

    Someone had the same problem?

    Hello:

Intel has removed support for USB 2.0 chipset chipset Skylake.

This means that only USB or normal DVD installs windows 7 will not work.

Microsoft Windows 7 ISO not the USB 3.0 drivers natives either.

Therefore, add USB 3.0 drivers in Windows ISO.    Intel has on it.  They have a utility that does all the work for you.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-creator-utility

Run the utility and point your support Installation USB and windows 7 above should install.

There is a readme on the link above for instructions on how to convert your DVD in a bootable usb flash drive.

  • Problems of Z580 Windows 7 Enterprise

I clean installed Windows 7 Enterprise to my 12 GB of ram supported by the OS.

But rather the laptop is faced with several problems: -.

    1. horribly slow boots (2mn +) (even taking over after the hibernation is long)

    2. the full use of the CPU after start

    3. frequent lag during use

I guess the problem is somewhat with GPT formatting the HARD drive - Windows did not have the MBR on EFI disks

PS No bios update is available, I tried all the fixes, no luck...

    Help, please...!

    Specifications of the PC: -.

    Core i5 3210 M - 2.5 ghz

    12 GB of ddr3 memory

    hard drive 500 gb/5400 RPM

    1 gb nvidia 630 m

    graphics Intel hd 4000

Try to reduce the 8 GB ram. I don't think that z580 supports more than 8 GB of ram.

I try to get an e HP OfficeJet 6600 network all in one to run on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. I downloaded the package, which is supposed to work on Windows 2008 x 64. The package is called
OJ6600_Basicx64_1315.exe. When I run it it tells me that it is not compatible with my system. I tried to unzip the file (changed the zip extension) but told me that it is not a zip file. Is there a driver for this printer on that server?

    Thank you

I thought about it. I copied the CD to the server and just ran the add printer. Installed just fine.

  • Color LaserJet Ent M553dn: HP Laserjet Enterprise M553dn PCL6 x 64 drivers for Windows Server 2003

Just bought a HP Laserjet Enterprise M553dn and was able to install the drivers for Windows Server 2003 x 86 driver disc supplied with the printer, but I cannot locate the drivers for Windows Server 2003 x 64.

I checked the site hp.com, but what they have there is PCL5 x 64 drivers, which gives me a 'printer driver is not installed. Message operation could not be completed.

Just for fun, I tried to download the drivers for PCL6 Windows 7 x 64, and trying to set up the printer with these, but it gives me a message "Windows is unable to locate a suitable printer driver.

    Where can I find the Windows Server 2003 PCL6 drivers x 64?

    Thank you!

As any pcl6 driver will work, why not just load any pcl6 64-bit driver that is built into the operating system.  Simply choose hp on the left and choose any color laserjet 64-bit driver on the right.  If none is available, download the driver 64 bit hp universal pcl6.  When loading the driver do not have system autodect the printer but load the driver manually.
