Windows 7 Error reporting is when running a program generated with BT LabVIEW 7.1!

To dear Labviewer

Once back in the year I had generated a program with - Labview 7.1.

Now, I am informed that the LV 7.1 version is not supported by Windows 7.

Now when I try to run the program generated by Labview 7.1.  in windows 7, I get error of communication via the serial port.

Is there somehow something I can do to get this working. Is there any time the delivery of engines OR for Windows 7. ?

Please feed back if someone was to help information.

4-star...

You have installed a newer version of the NI-VISA run-time engine that is compatible with Windows 7?

The most recent Web site NEITHER seems to be the version 5.0.3.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forums.

I see you've found an error "file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" when you click office and recent places.

    1. Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. What is the full error message?

I suggest you to report to us the screenshot of the Advanced window so that we can understand what exactly the situation.

The average while you can try the following steps and check if the error reappears.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Start the computer in safe mode and check the number.

Some options, including the mode safe mode, start Windows in a limited State, where only the essential is started. If a problem doesn't reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic device drivers and services as a possible cause.

Follow this link provided below to start your computer in safe mode.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Step 2:

Put the computer to boot and check if the problem persists.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 3 of the KB article provided above.

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

    It will be useful.

Back with the details so that we can help you further. We also indicate the result of the suggested steps.

  • Windows XP Pro on which I run several programs. After the opening of a few applications, I have this message "not enough memory".

    Hello

I have a PC running Windows XP Pro on which I run several programs. After the opening of a few applications, I have this message "not enough memory".
When I have this message, I can't open another application, or those in Windows... I have 2 GB of memory and only 700 MB are used.
If I open the calculator several times (about 65 times), I have the same result.
Sometimes, I get no error message, but the application does not open.

    Someone knows why?

    Thank you

    Hello

You did the chnages on computer before this problem?

I suggest you go through the steps of the following atrticle.

"Not enough memory" error message appears when you have a large number of programs running.

Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • "\?? \C:\Windows\Explorer.exe"cannot start or run due to incompatibility with the 64 bit version of windows

A friend gave me your laptop to watch - there edition family vista (64 bit (I think) on it and when you try to run Explorer he says it does not find or access is denied and something about 16 bit / 64 bit (it has been a few days and I'm not memory clearly until what I try again tonight)

"\?? \C:\Windows\Explorer.exe"cannot start or run due to incompatibility with the 64 bit version of windows"

If you try to run a dll / Panel or anything like that, you will get an error message saying that it cannot run some 16-bit process or access denied.

I did a lot of research on Google and nothing someone he said worked - which "everyone" giving full access to the C:\WINDOWS\Registration, executes a command secedit, a sfc/scannow, do a system restore to the point of older, make a new user account, start up in safe mode...

So now I'm pretty stuck. I'm SURE I've seen this problem before with reference to 16-bit etc error messages, but in home edition I do not have the MMC users & groups (had to make new user with password renew then that starts in another environment) or the Security tab of the properties of file/folder for permissions NTFS etc (had to use icacls).

Can someone enlighten us justice on that shiney? : o I don't want to have to redo the entire Setup, I'm sure it is something fixable...

I guess that I didn't that I had seen the name "verclsid.exe" in some of these error messages trying to run things.  I looked and saw it was to check the files or something.
Anyway I couldn't rename even in admin console so I started in a different environment and renamed the copy in system32 and syswow64.
Now, I've started and bang things seem to be ok! I guess I should try and replace it with a known working version? That or just give back it.

  • Try to run programs .exe produces the error message "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the control panel to define the Associations. "

    Hi all

    Help needed please.

HP dx2250 microtower, running Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, recently attacked by Vista Antispyware 2010. Norton 360 V3 dealt with rather late the virus, but the fall of the remains.

I am unable to open any .exe file (program) on the desktop, start menu, or through the browser. I can access the programs in opening a data file, for example, double-click a .doc file opens MS Word, etc.

The error message "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the control panel to define the Associations. "

I tried an automated solution that is available via the forums (exefix_cu.reg) and also a manual suggestion to change the registry, also available through the forum.

I also splashed by and purchased Regcure, who seems to have done no difference despite who claims to have removed 1500 odd errors. So I'll be request the refund on that one.

I scanned the forums and found a large number of similar problems, but not one that is as complete as this.

    Any help much appreciated

  • If I switch to windows 7, I'll beable to run a program 16-bit legacy that was designed for windows XP?

If I switch to windows 7, I'll beable to run a program 16-bit legacy that was designed for windows XP?

There are a number of variables here.  First of all if you go to the 64 bit version of Windows 7, you will not be able to run 16-bit programs in normal mode.  However, if you go to the professional version of Windows 7, you can install the free XP Mode and run 16-bit programs under that.  XP mode runs as a task under Windows 7.  It works fine as long as you can live with the limited graphics.  I have 900 x 600 16-bit color at home.

If you go with the 32-bit version of Windows, you might be able to run your 16-bit program in compatibility mode.  It depends of course is the compatibility with Windows 7.  Some work and some aren't.  The limitation with the 32-bit version is that it supports more than 4 GB of RAM.

    Good luck.

You do not get a response.  The "error report" simply sends the incident information to a database.  People do not read the actual reports (they just look statistically to see if any given program regularly generates accidents), especially if this isn't a Microsoft product that caused the accident.  It is best to contact the manufacturer of the other software or check their Web site.

  • Windows Update error code 8E5E0147 when installing KB968930 update

I have windows vista and when I try to install update KB968930, I get the Windows Update error code 8E5E0147. Nothing seems to fix this error. Any suggestions?

    Hello

There could be various reasons for the updates to fail. No matter what security software installed on the computer may crash or services related to the programs installed on the computer. Also if there are corruptions in the files\folders related to Windows updates.

Reset update components would actually try fixing the part of corruption by recreating these files and also to re-register the files necessary .dll (Dynamic Link Library).

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/968930

Some users corrected this problem by resetting the components of windows updates. Try these steps and check the result.

Temporary disable the firewall/security settings and check if it makes a difference.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/283673

Do allow him back course so that your computer is protected.

Method 1: Reset Windows Update components.
    Log on as administrator.
    a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
    b. click Microsoft fix and run successfully.
    c. restart the computer once the tool is run.

Method 2: I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
