Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade for versions of Windows 7 full or professional edition

Thank you!

There is license cost upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition.

You can upgrade through upgrade Express:

First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). • Can I use Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3 users) to install Windows 7 Edition home premium 64 on a desktop computer running the OEM version of Windows Vista Home Premium 32?

My desktop system is an Acer E700 Intel Quad Core 2.4 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and 1 Gig video running Vista Home Premium OEM 32 version. I plan to upgrade the hard disk of 1 tetrabyte before upgrading the OS.  If so, how should I do this?  I have to restore the backup to disk to the new disk before update for Window 7 64?

My second office is already running Vista Home Premium 64 so this upgrade using the family must be right before correct?  Or do I need to backup to the subject programs before moving to Win7 64?

    Thanks in advance.

You will need to do a reformat to perform installation and you reinstall the applications.  There has never been a way to upgrade from x 86 to x 64.  You will need to do is use your x 64 media to install Windows 7 on new hard drive, use your product key on the certificate of authenticity located on the side of the Acer desktop computer.  You will always be the OEM license terms, as you install the same Windows SKU.  Product keys are interchangeable between x 86 and x 64, but you will probably need to call to activate Windows after installation - usually the Internet activation does not work on current versions of Windows using the seller great modes of action.

  • My computer is silent. I think XP audio drivers are corrupted__If I install Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade it will provide new drivers for sound card?

My computer fell silent months ago after a download. I checked the healthy zone and everything is on and not anywhere in the system. I did a scan of unknown quality and that indicates a problem with the audio drivers. I tried to download new divers from Microsoft.

Rather than spending all the resources on the Windows XP system, I am considering Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade. Upgrades include new audio drivers which will replace or overwrite the existing problem and make it all work as it should again.

You can not spend XP as it's a clean install to get W7 on your PC.  To help transfer data documents, use the transfer on the W7 DVD program.

Before doing that I suggest you download the Advisor to upgrade to W7 from Ms. If your PC passes, then you go to the next step which is download W7 drivers for your video card, sound card, printer, etc. and their storage on a USB for post install W7.

If your PC isn't at the height (lack of drivers for one or more of your cards), then I would stick to XP. There is no guarantee that Vista drivers work in W7.

If you stick to XP, download the drivers for specific sound card XP the PC manufacturer's Web site, they can be more up-to-date than those at Ms.

    See you soon,.

  • Had a Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade: I installed on the second machine and now do not know how to activate it.

A few years back, I bought a laptop Dell 1537 that came pre-installed with Vista and also came with a disc of Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade.  I installed upgrading Windows 7 on the laptop from last year, and everything is fine with it.   Three weeks ago, I used this same disc to upgrade to Windows 7 and installed upgrading Windows 7 to my Dell XPS 430 desktop, with also came pre-installed with Vista.  At this point, I use an inactivated version of Windows 7 on my XPS 430.  With the 30-day grace period, Miss, I'm now unsure of how to properly activate the upgrade of Windows 7 on the XPS 430.  I know that I need a new product key, but what version of Windows 7 buy to get a product key valid: Windows 7 home Premium Upgrade, or Windows 7 Home Premium Full Version?

    Hello

Since you have already used the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade disk to perform an installation upgrade on another computer, as you mentioned that you need a new product key to activate on another computer.

You can either buy a updated version product key or full.

If you purchase a product key for the version complete and in the future if you need to reinstall Windows, you can use the product key to perform a reinstallation without performing an upgrade installation.

When you use an upgrade product key and if you need to reinstall Windows, you need to reinstall the Windows Help without using the upgrade product key and again perform an upgrade installation of the installed Windows to activate the system by using an upgrade product key.

  • Change from 32-bit to 64-bit with Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade CD

    Hello

I'm currently on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit.  Is it possible for me to move my Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit using my Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade CD? That is to say: to start my laptop with 64-bit upgrade CD and reformat my system?

Yes, you can use the same product used to enable the 32-bit version with 64-bit disc.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7

To learn how to change your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, the following tutorial:

    http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/

    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

Windows Anytime Upgrade Vista is no longer available; which you always had to pay anyway...

  • Vista Business - > Win 7 Home Premium upgrade does not work with my Win 7 Home Premium Upgrade disc

I bought a Windows 7 upgrade for $99 at Dell when I bought a new computer Win 7 and am finally getting around to upgrading my Vista Business.  The reason for road upgrading rather than clean install was to avoid reinstalling all applications, a major, major time sink, even if I find all the drives in application.  Is the upgrade to Win 7 Home Premium.

After starting the upgrade, he stopped, telling me that I can only switch to Win 7 Pro, Ultimate or enterprise. For the upgrade to proceed, told me that he needed a clean installation and that I would then have to re - install all the applications.  I looked on the Microsoft site, trying to find how to set my Windows 7 Pro upgrade disc, but I have been unable to find how this could be done after through many convolutions of web pages.

Could someone tell me please how to put my Win 7 Home Premium Upgrade disk to a Windows 7 Pro upgrade disc?

Thank you very kindly for any response.

I guess it depends on what side of the coin of your on. If someone bought the Windows 7 Pro upgrade, whereas they would have only a single lane of evolution, which is the more common scenario.

Other methods for the most extreme cases.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external

Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

  • Re use Vista Home Premium Upgrade disc

    Hello

I bought and Vista Home Premium Upgrade disc and upgraded to Windows XP.  Unfortunately my PC has not enough graphics to run Aero and DVD Maker (915 chipset), and I had tried unsuccessfully to introduce a new videocard (power problem).  So I gave up with this PC and will probably go back to XP or get a copy of Vista Home Basic which will be OK on this PC.

I did the clean installation thing with the upgrade disk if my old XP system is not affected and can be restored without problem.

    My question is:

If I buy a latest PC who has the necessary graphics to run the Home Premium edition, can I re reuse the upgrade disc, or the activation process will fail because of "improved" after having already.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Evereti,

You can try installing upgrade of Windows Vista on another PC as if you removed completely from Windows Vista to Windows XP PC. You will not be able to use the same copy on two different computers at the same time. It will affect the Product Activation.
